@babyvibes - so happy for you. Everything crossed for lots of good eggs.

I've just been told I have a review meeting with the doctor tomorrow so I can ask questions before the next cycle. My mind is now blank and I can't think of any- I'll need to get thinking tonight.

Babyvibes · 11/05/2021 16:53

Thank you @kamiros 😊

Ah how come when you need to ask questions this happens. It happens to me everytime they say this at the clinic.
I'm sure if you do have any you will remember tho but if not I woukdnt worry you can ring and speak to nurses at any time.

Kamiros · 11/05/2021 17:04

I really want to understand why we were given a second hcg injection after transfer instead of progesterone. I know this is a thing but I don't really get why, so I might ask about that. I bled at 8dp5dt so I'm worried my progesterone was too low, nurses seemed to think that timing was right though.

Babyvibes · 11/05/2021 17:29

Ah I didn't know that was a thing. Did they say why they did it? So you wernt given any pessaries?
Ask anything that's on your mind lovely

Kamiros · 11/05/2021 17:31

@babyvibes No, no pessaries. Just the injection the night of transfer. Same stuff as hcg trigger but a smaller dose.

Sungirl11 · 11/05/2021 17:47

@Kamiros that is very strange! Everyone i know has been given progesterone after egg collection (if fresh transfer) or also when FET. I myself have pessaries and injections... (my progesterone levels are over the roof).
Do ask the reason... because it is strange.

@Babyvibes exciting!!! Not long to go now... and then worry times come haha

I went yesterday (3 days after my first beta) to a private clinic and had a second beta test done... i just wanted to reassure myself that hCG is going up. And it came back 2052... so over triple the one I had on Friday!
I don't have any symptoms apart from the extreme tiredness that i've had for weeks already and a big craving for large Gherkins hahahahah what a weird one!

Kamiros · 11/05/2021 19:08

@sungirl11 That's brilliant, great news. I think its because I had flare protocol so almost no down regging, and very close to the natural cycle. Def worth the question though.

Babyvibes · 11/05/2021 21:59

Definatly worth asking so you have a better understanding.

@Sungirl11 that is amazing they are really good numbers ❤
Ah i know the 2ww is so hard!! But I have no test in at all and going to try my best not to buy any 😅 I've took more time off work so I can just relaxe.

How many days into the 2ww is implantation ment to happen? Also very nervous for how many eggs we may get and if they survive 🤞

Babyvibes · 11/05/2021 22:00

Did any of yous get 2 eggs out back in?

Sungirl11 · 11/05/2021 22:09

@Babyvibes normally it's during days 3,4&5.. but it depends if it's already hatching when transferred or not it can go quicker.
Mine was starting to hatch so it went quicker. I took cheepie tests and hid them but wanted to have the progress if it was positive, and when we looked at them it was showing positive from day 4 already! And they detect at 20. (Not like frer that is at 6/7)
But then I have seen pregnancies that didn't get a positive until 10dpt...

So I had my final scan today before frozen transfer next Tuesday, and my lining is currently 7mm which they were happy with. However, they can see fluid on the scan. They're worried it's fluid in one of my tubes, which could flowback into the uterus causing issues with my embryo implanting etc., so I'm waiting for a call back once they're spoken to a the consultant, and might need to go back for another scan tomorrow.
So not sure what to think to be honest, googling has freaked me out.

Sungirl11 · 13/05/2021 12:45

@starkid aw no, did they say what could cause this fluid? If it was still from EC? Or nothing to do with it...
Obvs you don't want to transfer if you have this toxic fluid there.. but awww i would be so mad!!
Hope it's something that can get sorted or not too important and you can still go ahead with FET next week! Fingers crossed for you!!

starkid · 13/05/2021 12:51

@Sungirl11 - they didn't say, as wasn't entirely certain that's what it was or if they could just see part of the bowel on the screen. But yeah if there's fluid in there not going away I doubt they'll do the transfer so they don't pose a risk to my only frozen embryo :( then I guess there's some options of what to do about the fluid depending on how bad the damage to the tube is..!
I expect all the drugs might have something to do with it if it is the case, as I didn't show any fluid in previous scans until this frozen round, so yeah potentially all the drugs/hormones. I don't suffer with endo or pcos so not sure what else it could be.

starkid · 13/05/2021 12:52

In case it's all fine (I hope!!), is 7mm 5 days before transfer a good amount? Anyone know how likely it is it'll get to 8mm before then?

Sungirl11 · 13/05/2021 12:58

@starkid will keep fingers crossed it was just confusing and it's not fluid.
If you have been feeling ok and it didn't show in any other scans hopefully it's just one of those mistakes and you can go ahead. Let us know the outcome. Xx

Babyvibes · 13/05/2021 19:10

@starkid fingers crossed its nothing to worry about. Sometimes googling things can make it feel worse. Sorry I'm not sure abiut your linking all I know is that mine was 10mm 2 days ago and they said it was good and it went from 8.5 to 10 just over night. When do you get the transfer.

I'm getting egg retrieval tomorrow morning at 8am, I'm so bludy anxious I hope it doesn't hurt too much 😅
What time did yous take your lorazepam?

starkid · 13/05/2021 19:14

@Babyvibes - I've got transfer on Tuesday all things being fine, so that's good to hear your lining jumped up that much just overnight :)

Good luck with egg collection and look after yourself after! Don't get a mcdonalds on the way home from hospital like I did, then puke as soon as I got home Grin

Babyvibes · 13/05/2021 19:53

Hehe I said to my partner I want one when I come out. I will hang on until I'm feeling better tho lol.
Thanks for the advice.
Should I take my tablet now I have one for tonight and one for the morning?

Babyvibes · 13/05/2021 19:54

@starkid keep us posted how you get on best of luck for Tuesday x

starkid · 14/05/2021 11:09

So I had another scan and they think it's isolated fluid in between abdominal scar tissue from my surgeries, which is harmless (I've had my colon and rectum removed and a stoma and bag from Ulcerative Colitis). As it wasn't on a scan only a week before, and with her investigating it's placement in me closer So that's good, all go for next Tuesday! ☺️

They did say if this cycle fails they can do an x-ray to double check but if they did that this time I'd have to cancel, so I'm going ahead with the transfer. Knew there had to be some drama caused by my surgeries eventually! 🙄

Babyvibes · 14/05/2021 13:07

@starkid that's good that they can still do it and your mind seems made up so just go with that gut feeling lovely.

My egg retrieval is done and wasn't as bad as I thought. I'm in alot of pain now tho but in bed with hot water bottle. We got 14 eggs 😁❤ they will ring tomorrow morning to update us

starkid · 14/05/2021 13:12

@Babyvibes - Ah well done, 14 eggs! Rest up and good luck for tomorrow :)

Babyvibes · 14/05/2021 13:16
