1st IVF mid April

Thought it would be nice to start a thread for anyone starting IVF next month

My period is due mid April

Just finishing off getting last few swabs and bloods done ✅

We've got a prescription so will be getting our drugs.

Then we are all set !

Anyone else ? For me it's my 1st cycle ivf
38yrs
Unexplained fertility with 1 previous child ( she's 9yrs)

Feeling excited to start this journey x

I had my scan earlier and my lining is now thick enough to start the progynova/estrogen tablets, ready hopefully for frozen embryo transfer on the 18th may :)

@Fuzzybump I'm so sorry to hear that but try keep being a little possotive it could rise in a day or not everyone is the same. I know that's easier said than done. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 for you

@starkid best if luck to you. Im on day 2 of rekovelle few twinges here and there and feeling a little emotional tonight.

Hi girls! And good morning!
Today in Spain (where i'm 1/2 from) it's mothers day (fist year without my mom) and it's also my 33rd birthday. We agreed with my husband to test today 7dp5dt, we know anything can happen but it's such a special day 😍
And.... i'm still in shock
I didn't expect such a dark line. I do believe this is my mothers gift and i'm so happy right now.. best birthday ever.

@Fuzzybump I am thinking of you, and really truly hoping for a positive outcome for you.

I thought I would come back to update as I hadn't read about this happening, and thought my experience may be helpful for others. I went in for embryo transfer on Friday. I arrived, had a scan to check ovaries were free of fluid, as I had had some prior to EC and it can be an increased risk of OHSS. All was clear, so I was set to go for it. Embryologist came in and gave the news that we had 3 embryos, one 5AA one 4BA and one 3AA. I was so happy, as last time we had only one, 4BC. The Dr then started placing the catheter ready to go. It seemed to be taking a while, and was more uncomfortable than last time. Eventually she asked if I'd had any bleeding - I hadn't at all. But she showed me a swab and there was bright blood. She then stopped and did an internal scan of endometrium. It had been looking great prior to EC, but Sunday it was down to 4mm and degenerating. It was such a shock. They cancelled the transfer and instead I will have to do a FET at some stage.

I am so thrilled about being blessed with these embryos, though sad I was unable to have a fresh transfer this time.

@HopingForRainbow2021 I'm so sorry yous had to stop when you were so close to it aswel. But it's good news that you have some there to try with next time. This hole process is so unpredictable. I'm on day 4 of my rekovelle injections actualy feeling ok appart fro. My hormones 😅 few pains and twinges here and there but overall going OK I think. Scan is on Thursday

Hope everyone is doing OK and those who got bad news I hope your holding up. Thinking of you all

@HopingForRainbow2021 i'm so sorry this happened! But glad it was spotted in time and you didn't loose an embryo because of it.
The whole process has soo many ups and downs... you never expect what is going to happen on your next appointment.
But hope you feel ok and get your FET really soon. Hugs

I'm doing ok, it's going to be July for my next cycle so back focusing on the healthy diet etc. in the mean time.

We had our scan this morning and we have 14 follicles. 9 are very mature. So that's a good start. They are ringing this afternoon to let me know if we have to have scan or Saturday or Monday. Then egg retrieval next week.

@babyvibes Great news. Not long now.

@Babyvibes yay! It sounds really good! Look at me! I only had 7 and 6 eggs retrieved. I am pregnant with one of them and another in the freezer!
So your numbers sound amazing!

@Kamiros I am feeling really good, all the mild symptoms I had have gone now and I just feel completely normal. It is CD38 so af is far far away and it's something that keeps me up thinking that it's working. Also had another test this morning and it looks good. So I can't wait to see my beta number tomorrow.

The clinic have rang I have to carry on injections until Monday then in for a scan and if they are all good we get egg retrieval on Wednesday. I cant believe we have got this far first time I never thought it would happen 😁❤ xxxx

I had my beta today and it's 641! We are soo happy!! Scan booked at 7 weeks now.

@sungirl11 So pleased for you. I'm ok, hormones are all over the place following the failed cycle though. Af stopped on Monday which is about normal length for me but seems to have started up again yesterday, sort of heavy spotting. Assume this is a weird hormonal thing but might have to call clinic if it continues. Also having lovely hot flushes. The fun never ends....but I'm staying positive.

We had our scan this morning and have 20 follicles 17 that are mature. I've added the picture if what we have.
Another 2 days of rekovelle injections and scan tomorrow morning then hooefuly egg collection thursday/Friday

It's happening 😁 they have grown so much just over night I couldn't belive it. We have 20 follicles all together 17 of them being mature and still another day of injections to go. Egg retrieval at 8am Friday morning. How exciting and scarey at the same time 🤞❤
