1st IVF mid April

Thought it would be nice to start a thread for anyone starting IVF next month

My period is due mid April

Just finishing off getting last few swabs and bloods done ✅

We've got a prescription so will be getting our drugs.

Then we are all set !

Anyone else ? For me it's my 1st cycle ivf
38yrs
Unexplained fertility with 1 previous child ( she's 9yrs)

Feeling excited to start this journey x

@Babyvibes - try not to stress (easy said than done!) i had the same spotted for 3 days but called them everyday 4 day full flow came n I went in for scan but clinics are all different.

@Sungirl11 - congratulations on PUPO, am only 5dpo5dt i knew it was too early just couldn't help myself. Is so hard in lockdown as well sure it would go.quicker if I could do things!

@Kamiros - u are doing so well, pls send me some of your patience!

@IVFbabyF - its really tough isn't it, am trying to stop obsessing over it but feel like I have unleashed something now I have tested 🙈.

@fuzzybump 7dpo is still very early. But I don't know how hard it is.
Had my scan and all is fine just have to ring when I get heavier. Then we start on day 3 of my cycle.

Congrats to those PUPO and with BFP's! And lots of luck to everyone awaiting EC and ET :)

I have kept a bit quiet early in this cycle, as it got off to a slow start, and there were some concerns about my follicles not developing well. I had egg collection yesterday though and ended up with 11 eggs, which I am over the moon with. Last time we had 10 eggs collected and 5 fertilised... I had the call this morning and 10 of the 11 have fertilised, so I am feeling so much more hopeful now. Last time we ended up with one average blast transferred on day 5, but it didn't stick, so this time I am just hoping hoping hoping for a good string embie that sticks, and maybe even one to freeze. Really hoping :)

@HopingForRainbow2021 congrats! That is a great number!
Hope you are feeling ok and speedy recovery from ec.
I had only 6 and 5 fertilised. Ended up with 2 good blastos. So yeah! Hoping you do get a few nice blastos! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

@babvibes, @Sungirl11, thank you I am trying to be good (its not working lol 🙈) only have to wait until Thursday morning but it's just crackers how long every day is. But I am giving myself a kick in the backside today n gonna try n get busy even if its walking for a few hours!

I've just had my first stims scan and have 11 follicles on right ovary, 8 follicles on left.

9 of the follicles are over 10mm

My left ovary is annoyingly sitting on top of my uterus. She said she hopes it moves before EC 😬

@Fuzzybump did you have any symptoms after ET?
I have felt really well during the whole process, surprisingly, and today is 1dpo5dt and i'm dizzy, bloated, fatigued.. 🤷🏻‍♀️ i read these are all progesterone symptoms so not worried, but aw man! All kicked at same time!

@Sungirl11 - yes I was still really bloated, tired and crampy for a few days after ET. I think part of it is come down from all the injections and ovaries settling. I am still a bit tired and get random cramps but not constant. The bloating has really subsided now which am happy about it does go down yay lol. I do feel a bit dizzy and sick almost every time for an hour or so after the pessaries but I read this is ok.

The things we put ourselves through ladies!

@Crazydoglady123 thank you! That sounds like a great place to be with your follicles - really nice uniform development if that makes sense. Mine always seem to be pretty erratic! Hopefully that ovary will shift for you. When are you having another scan? x

I'm not 6dp5dt and struggling a bit today. I feel very heavy in my tummy like before af which doesn't feel like a good sign. Trying to remind myself that hormones do crazy things and to keep hope. Sending you all positive vibes.

@kamiros - hope you are ok, if it helps I feel exactly the same like af is coming, am still holding out hope x

@fuzzybump Thank you. I'm ok, managed to throw myself into work for a bit to take my mind off it.

This part is harder than the rest put together I think.

Feeling so stressed with my AF since Friday I've been spotting and past 2 days I've got up and had a little.more each day then by afternoon it just seems to go to nothing. I've never had one like this before. Praying it starts properly in the next few days so we don't have to wait another 2 month. I dont think I can cope getting this close to have to abandon it

@babyvibes Aw I'm sorry, I think our bodies love to torment us. Hoping it sorts itself out soon.

@kamiros- I honestly don't know how I am at the minute, bloods in the morning and I got this today but still feel like af is coming

@Fuzzybump congrats! It's so hard as everyone says the progesterone side effects are so confusing.

Second stims scan done and now have 18 follicles over 10mm so EC booked in for Monday. Back in Friday for last stims scan. Feeling really nauseous today too 😬

@fuzzybump Ooh that's exciting and you know the trigger is out with having bfn before. I think its common for it to feel the same though. When I got my bfp with my mc I was convinced af was coming.

I'm desperate to test but it's only been 7 days since my last injection so too scared to.

I'm only 3dp5dt and already feel like AF is coming, as per cycle she is due today, but started a week after with long protocol... all very weird!

@Kamiros when is your beta day?

I feel quite fatigued when i go up stairs and, jesus!, very tired! I sleep loads and i deep sleep! I have never slept this much haha
Also have this awkward feeling of heavy tummy like before af comes. And get dizzy in a few occasions... but this must be all progesterone effects.

Were you girls told to test before beta day? Or just go in for beta directly?

@sungirl11 Mine is Monday. I was specifically told not to test and just to go in for bloods. I feel the same way, so tired, really weird dreams and mild nausea. I can't read into any of it as it means nothing but I'm driving myself mad today.

@Kamiros same as me then! Was told not to test beforehand too! 🙈
Mine is on Friday (but next week 😱)! It's just sooo far away! I have my bday and wed anniversary in between! Hahaha i feel i want to test so if it's pos i will celebrate even happier, but if it's neg.. then it will be sadder hahaha 🙈

thank you ladies, I don't want to get too excited until bloods confirm tomorrow, I tested yesterday also and got a very faint on clear blue the line is much stronger today tho I am 8dp5dt. (Shouldn't have tested but couldn't help it!)

@crazydoglady123 - Hope everything goes well for you Monday, I think ginger is supposed to help with nausea x
