1st IVF mid April

Hi

Thought it would be nice to start a thread for anyone starting IVF next month

My period is due mid April

Just finishing off getting last few swabs and bloods done ✅

We've got a prescription so will be getting our drugs.

Then we are all set !

Anyone else ? For me it's my 1st cycle ivf
38yrs
Unexplained fertility with 1 previous child ( she's 9yrs)

Feeling excited to start this journey x

I just had the call to update. Out of 11 eggs, 10 had fertilised Monday, but we now have 3 looking okay and the others are low numbers of cells and highly fragmented. I’d had higher hopes this time for some more fighters, but trying to stay positive. Will be aiming for 5 day transfer on Friday

It looks like strong line for still being early mine were much fainter than that. I also felt bloated and like af was coming I think that's normal.

Well today is a good day for us all im so pleased everyone seems to be doing good and my af has started properly today 🙂

@hopingforrainbow2021 I'm a little better tonight - trying hard not to over analyse every twinge. Only a few more days to go now though.

Well I think af has just arrived so might be all over already.

@Kamiros I wasn't expecting this now... are you sure it's not implantation bleed or something? Sometimes it can be a bit heavier than spotting? 😔

@sungirl11 Honestly I'm not sure. Isn't it too late for that now? I've had cramps, heavy /full feeling for a couple of days and lower back pains started tonight. I had an Ovitrelle injection on day of transfer a week ago and not even sure if that would be out my system yet. If its light in the morning I might test. Gut feeling says it's af but not sure I can trust that any more.

@Kamiros i'm completely lost! Because according to my cycle i should have my period today! But obviously with all we've done our body is all over the place. Cramping can be because of implantation... and obvs you can bleed when this happens. But i'm no expert 😔
Maybe take a test tomorrow? Or call the clinic and explain?
I really hope it is implantation 🤞🏻

@babyvibes I've emailed them and waiting on a call. All my bloating has gone this morning so I'm pretty sure.

Thanks @Crazydoglady123 clinic think it is unfortunately. I've to go in on Monday for bloods just to confirm, we can then think about going again. I think I'm going to take a month off though and I'm certainly going to eat and drink everything I can find over the next couple of days. In the name of self-care of course.

Well I wish I hadn't tested now, called for results and they said HCG is only 25 and probably won't last but they want me to test again in a week

@fuzzybump Oh I'm so sorry. Were they hopeful that it would rise at all? This whole process is so horrible.

@kamiros - they didn't sound it tbh she said its only got 25% of being a successful pregnancy with current level. Yes the whole process is a nightmare :(

This process is very draining, all we get put through and all the waits... And success rates are not that great in general. 😔
