FET March/April

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any dates pencilled in for an FET during March/April? I have been given the dates of 30/03 for baseline scan and transfer the week of 12/04.

It would be great to see if there are many others on similar timelines?!

Yeah, I'm looking at 5th May for test day. Don't think I can wait that long haha

@elsaesmeralda my official test date is 20th April - so tempted to test tomorrow or Sunday which would be 8 or 9dp5dt, 20th is 11 days post transfer.

@elsaesmeralda I have already been sitting here trying to figure out the law of averages and figure out when is reasonable to test. Then I come across a thread where lots of ladies got VFL’s on 3dp5dt. I transferred a 6 dayer... so of course that did nothing for the restraint that I was hoping to have 😂😂. I want to get to 5dpt at least. She says... 2dpt and counting! 🙈
Yeah, I got twinge’s last night too! I tried to ignore them though 😂

@willithappen I have no idea when it’s test day for me. The longer I wait the better, but I have zero chill. So it’ll probably be sooner than later. I’ll do my best to hold off though. Your transfer is so close now. Exciting times!!

@elsaesmeralda I have also had the increased need to urinate this morning too! I have only had one small cup of tea and peed like four times.

If you transfer an embryo that was 5 days when frozen, does it now count as 6 days as the thaw day counts as a day? Confusing myself!!

@louloulemons I think it depends on when they freeze and thaw, if they freeze early into day 5, then thaw the day of your transfer it’s likely to be a day 5 embryo still. If they thaw the night before, it’ll probably turn 6 days old when transfer happens. It’s hard to know, I tried looking it up! Maybe ask when you transfer? What time is your transfer happening?

Transfer is all done and embryo survived the thaw! I felt very emosh and proud of it! Crazy has already set in, I had an hour of panic this morning because I’d put moisturiser on

Embryologist said it still counts as a day 5 transfer!

I did really well on the not obsessing while we were away in Dorset but we have only been home a few hours and I am already eyeing my stockpile of tests

@Gensola I've came across a load of cheap tests the other day and chucked them out! I knew I'd be too tempted otherwise

@PT8998 I was weeing so much yesterday I think it's the water I downed while waiting ! Was crampy this morning too but nothing since! My god this is going to be hard 😩

@elsaesmeralda for me it’s today! I have just been peeing all day. I also nipped out to grab a new bin (OH did all the carrying, I just went out to stretch my legs) and I felt a bit dizzy when I was out. So that was a bit strange. Cramps have been on/off. At times almost feel a bit like O pain?
Not that I’m paying that much attention to it all 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈😂

@Tarsette My period was 2 days later than expected on the cycle after egg collection.

I had a big night sweat last night and woke up drenched. I googled and this can be a sign of early pregnancy - trying not to get my hopes up!!
I can’t believe it’s still 4 days until OTD! I wish my clinic did bloods, I would know by now if they did.

@Gensola hopefully it's a positive sign for you ! I also had a sweaty night and random af dream, I was meant to be decorating the queens bedroom 🤔
I know it must still feel like a lifetime away but it really isn't too far now. Are you thinking of testing before that ?

@elsaesmeralda I was the same when I got dizzy! I was like why did I want to stretch my legs? Why am I incapable of being able to just sit still for a such a short time? 😂. I’m sure you’ll be fine! I keep telling myself that lots of ladies aren’t even aware that they’re pregnant at this point and do fine... so we’ll be okay!! It’s really not that simple though!

Tired this morning! I woke up early and felt like I hadn’t been to sleep, went back to sleep again, woke up a second time and still tired! Had the weirdest vivid dreams last night (x2). We’ll see what the day brings!

@PT8998 I keep telling myself the same thing, but thing is we're extra cautious because of the way that embryo has got in there, so of course we're going to punish ourselves ! Yep also had vivid dreams, must be the progesterone !

@elsaesmeralda yeah, that’s it! We are always going to be extra tense for that reason! Progesterone is a right cow 🙈😂

@PT8998 do you know why the side effects from the progesterone ramp up once the transfer is done ? I was fine before that didn't have nothing now my nipples are twinging and everything 😆
