FET March/April

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any dates pencilled in for an FET during March/April? I have been given the dates of 30/03 for baseline scan and transfer the week of 12/04.

It would be great to see if there are many others on similar timelines?!

@elsaesmeralda No idea! I am exactly the same though, nothing pre transfer and so much is going on now... moreso each day too! I am just adding all of the data into an app, even if I think it's unrelated so I can see if there is any correlation. The problem is, progesterone is what causes PMS/pregnancy symptoms, so they are so non specific. So I have no idea if it's a case of it beginning to build up and over time they get more obvious, and it's just timed well with transfer?! Who knows?! I am currently sat here googling stuff, because I can't help myself! haha!

@PT8998 Exactly! So there is no telling the difference 😩😩
I thought maybe it's cause the embryo is in there now it's kind of got something to do, but that just sounds stupid lol

Thanks so much for thinking of me ladies 🥰 And sorry for the radio silence - I'd completely convinced myself it was going to be a BFN due to lack of symptoms yesterday and felt like my mental health was unravelling a bit, so I made myself put my phone in the drawer and leave it there to focus on anything but bloody symptoms! 📵🤯 I kept looking for the 3 symptoms that I got during my fresh/BFP cycle (1. Epic night sweats 2. Super dry skin around my mouth/chin 3. Smelling irresistible to the cat! 😼) and when they weren't happening I was devastated and just wanting today to be over with 😞

So. Bloods done today and it's a BFP! 😂 Don't be me ladies - try and enjoy Schrodinger's embryo in the TWW and believe it when people say that no symptoms aren't necessarily a bad thing (even though I didn't! 😂). Still very, very cautious that this may not pan out having previously had an MMC, but I guess one more hurdle is out of the way and it's onto the next - let's see if I make it to the 7 week scan in 3 weeks time 🔮

... and I've told the cat he's sacked from his role as the official household non-CE marked, non-FDA approved pregnancy test! 🙀😹

@elsaesmeralda that was absolutely it - I just needed to not think about it because I was winding myself up terribly 😞 I was so convinced it was going to be a BFN that I'd put all my meds away at the back of the cupboard ready for the next FET, and so I didn't have to look at them and get upset when the result came in! I've just had to dig them back out again to do my progesterone 🤦🏻‍♀️

DH is really keen for us to wait so I think I’ll test when he has gone to work on Monday it feels like the last week has lasted forever!

I hear you @Gensola - I totally lost my mind at 8dp5dt! 🤯 I love the idea of the cheeky test once your DH is at work! 😄 DP was sat next to me when my call from the clinic came through and I would have preferred it if I could have taken the call, processed the information and then broken it to him. I could see his worried face staring at me (which was very sweet, don't get me wrong!), but it was very difficult to listen to the nurse and be conscious of how he was feeling from what he could pick up on from the conversation - not ideal.

Looks like I’m out - I tested today at 9dp5dt and it was BFN, my OTD isn’t until Tuesday but it’s not looking good. Starting to feel like this will never work for us, it’s so exhausting. I’ll have to keep taking meds and test again on Tues. After that I’ll have a break until the summer to allow some DHEA and other supplements to improve egg quality before doing our second cycle.

I'm sorry @Gensola that's absolutely shit. Don't lose hope just yet though and hold out a little hope for, you had some positive signs

Ah @Gensola 😞 9dp5dt is still pretty early for a urine test so I'm keeping everything crossed for you that things will turn around by Tuesday 🤞🤞🤞 My blood hCG was 97IU yesterday, so I doubt I'd see much on a HPT if I did one now.

@BambiOnIce80 thanks 🙏🏻 I realised later this morning that it wasn’t a FRER, it says on the box it should be used from day of missed period which would be Wednesday so a glimmer of hope remains.

I nearly asked if you used a FRER @Gensola! I think the standard sensitivity for most non-early detection tests are 25IU (with clearview digital being even higher), so I really don't think I'd get much on one at the moment (because urine hCG is always lower than serum hCG). You're not out yet lovely 💪x

@CLP20 good luck for tomorrow! But early, but I'm back to work tomorrow so it may be a bit harder for me to get online first thing!

@Gensola I'm sorry lovely lady 🙁 I agree with @BambiOnIce80 though! I think maybe see how things go in a couple more days. The test may have just been way above your sensitivity level at this point. Doesn't mean to say that it won't be soon! 🤞🏼

Also quick question, I'm guessing with FET there's no chance of a positive test early on thats false because no trigger yeah? Like with fresh some test the trigger out but because we are frozen we wouldn't have that? I'm pretty sure I know the answer just want to make sure lol
I don't think I will make it to 15dp5dt to test so think 9dp5dt is the earliest I will do maybe

@willithappen agree there's no chance of picking up trigger that isn't there 👍 There is a chance of picking up a chemical that won't progress, but that does at least provide information that implantation has tried to take place. I know my clinic hates FRER's because of the amount of ladies who think they've got their BFP off them but then they have to tell them they're less than 50IU/not viable pregnancies. Is your clinic a urine or a blood test?

Do the pessaries cause spotting ? Had a tiny and I mean tiny amount of blood today when I wiped a couple of times after a wee, literally blink and you'd miss it type of thing so wouldn't call it spotting just specks in some egg white discharge (hate that word)
Been crampy today like slight period pains

Ladies, my clinic does transfer day as day 1, so I was under the impression that I was 4dp6dt. I am now wondering where to put myself as it seems almost every other clinic puts it as day 0 (following day 1dp...).

What does everyone else's clinic do?
