FET March/April

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any dates pencilled in for an FET during March/April? I have been given the dates of 30/03 for baseline scan and transfer the week of 12/04.

It would be great to see if there are many others on similar timelines?!

@BambiOnIce80 @elsaesmeralda Loving the boob talk! As a D-cup I am not looking forward to them getting bigger, and I always get twinges and sore boobs before my period anyway so not sure I would be able to use that as a sign.

@willithappen I don’t have applicators either. Wasn’t even aware you could get them! I find it quite easy using fingers though as I use non-applicator tampons - can’t aim right with applicators! 😂

Does anyone else have lubion injections alongside the cyclogest pessaries? I only had the pessaries during my fresh cycle so wondering if it’s different because it’s a frozen cycle?

@elsaesmeralda no way! One hour before? Amazing! I am so excited, I am like a kid at Christmas, I have been out and done a food shop, done all of my washing, hoovered and tidied up and the garden has been done today whilst I was at work… I can then just chill. I have no plans except for maybe lunch by the sea Saturday with a friend and then back to work Monday. Good luck for tomorrow!

When do you plan on testing?

@willithappen yay! Great news about the lining and starting the pessaries! They are nowhere near as bad as you think. A medical blue glove can help just to give you an extra bit of grip!
I do my pessaries 12 hours apart, I do them at 0630 and 1830 because of work. It’s crap on the weekends, but I do sometimes take them a bit later as I need to sleep in!

@PT8998 good luck for today ! Hope all goes well. I'm abit excited now too but more nervous than anything just hope everything goes okay.

Nitnalotnn be planned but we're having our garden done atm, I'm hoping by next weekend it's totally finished and then I can get some plants in etc and hoping that gives me something to focus on. Plan to watch some Rob and Romesh on sky1 as they have me in stitches 🤣 have you much planned ?

@willithappen have ago just using your fingers and see if that works okay for you! If not then try locate some kind of applicator but I reckon you'll get used to it !

I feel absolutely fine about today, it’s over the next 10-14 days I’ll be worrying and doing myself no favours with the stress. As you all already know, my job keeps me really busy and I am glad to be back Monday to distract myself.
Ooh, nice! I am a rubbish gardener, but I have tried to plant so many flowers (in pots) and they seem to have done relatively well! I don’t own my own home yet (and last house had no grass) so I daren’t plant too much as I hate the idea of digging them all up again!
Nice! We have no exact plans, just acupuncture before and after, then home to chill! We’ll just then binge on Netflix/prime/whatever we find and fancy the look of later!

@PT8998 it sounds like a perfect plan! And I get where you're coming from with work being a distraction, it also makes the days go faster! I'm going to try not think about it but I know I'm already lying to myself !

Oh yeah no deodorant today here, it feels so wrong ! Also going completely bare faced so it's safe to say I will look like a right minger but has to be done sometimes lol

I had an applicator in the house in wrapping still so I used that because I have a pure panic about putting things there myself haha. Currently laying down for 30 mins.

@CLP20 I don't have any injections for this frozen cycle. Progynova tablets from day 1 of cycle, currently on day 13 and just started pessaries and transfer is booked for Tuesday.

Excellent news that you're good to go for transfer next week @willithappen 💪 I'm very lucky that my clinic provides applicators for the pessaries as I too am very squeamish about getting my hands up there! 😳 I think I'd faint if my clinic had suggested using the back door!! 😜

@elsaesmeralda I don't think I've slept well since 3dp5dt, so it'll probably be no sleep at all tomorrow night! 😴🚫 Marvellous work on the spring clean-athon 💪 Sending you positive vibes for later today 💓 and that plan 'don't piss my pants' goes without a hitch!

@louloulemons I've had a strong word with myself and I'm managing to leave them alone now! 🙌 Is it Friday that you're transferring or have I gotten all muddled up?

@CLP20 I used to get sore side boob during my luteal phase pre-MMC, but not at all since then 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wonder if them getting bigger whilst pregnant stretched them out a bit and stopped them getting sore anymore?! 🤔 It's when the sore/tenderness moves to the front and they go solid that you know you're in business! 😄 I'm just on the pessaries as well, so not sure why some clinics use lubion and some don't 🤔

@PT8998 good idea to use work as a distraction 💡 I worked through my fresh cycle and it helped a lot, but it was also very stressful and my brain would still stray back to what was going on in my uterus and stop me from giving work my full attention! 🤯 Not good in my line of work, thus the taking the time off for the FET's in my case. My blood test is on Saturday and I should have the result at lunchtime, so not much longer to wait now 🔮 Good luck for transfer today 🍀

Transfer all done, both acupuncture sessions done, now in the queue for McDonald’s before testing commences 😍

@BambiOnIce80 thank you! Yes, work is a distraction I completely need. I’m a huge over thinker at the best of times, so I need to be away from being alone and just thinking about it 🤦🏻‍♀️. My job is the same, I have zero choice but to concentrate. So I need to force myself to focus from 8-4 daily (and the odd weekends too).

@PT8998 went fine ! I managed not to wee on anyone too so that's always good 😆 it was pretty uncomfortable, just so surreal seeing it on the screen aswell ! How was yours all okay? Now we wait! When is your test date ?

@elsaesmeralda Ohhh my! My bladder was so full! I was so desperate for a wee 😂. Glad you didn’t pee on anyone. Mine was fine thank you! The speculum bit was the worst, but luckily wasn’t too uncomfortable once in, I didn’t feel the catheter go in. I agree, seeing it on the screen was strange but oddly satisfying! I almost got emotional seeing my embryo on the screen before they transferred it, but I managed to hold it together though! We do indeed! So nice to have someone else in the same TWW! I was told 14 days, but I won’t last that long! How about you?

Hello ladies, I’ve been pretty quiet on here as not much to report! I was just waiting for AF to start my FET but it is nowhere to be seen! I am already 3 days late (which never happens normally)! Have any of you experienced that on the 2nd cycle post egg collection? I’m thinking maybe my cycle is all out of whack due to all the hormones I had last cycle (the egg collection one)... I’ve also started to worry it might be because of the Covid vaccine (I have had one dose), as there does seem to be some anecdotal evidence pointing in that direction, which would be very worrying as my 2nd dose is supposed to be just before the transfer and if it is messing up my cycle, I’m worried it will also mess up my FET...

@Tarsette my period was 11 days late after my failed FET cycle (as in my next real period not the bleed immediately after the cycle) and I was demented waiting for it. Hope yours comes soon!

I am pondering testing on Sunday (9dp5dt) instead of waiting until OTD (11dpdt, so Tues 20th)

@Gensola I was thinking the same thing about testing early.

Hi all. I had my first FET on 9th apr and clinic told me to test 20th apr but not sure I can wait! Thinking of testing this weekend.

Is the only risk it will negative if test too soon? No risk of a false positive?

@PT8998 I felt the catheter going in, she was struggling for a while. Had to laugh when my legs were up in stirrups with a huge light pointing directly at my bits 🤔😆
Oh yes I also felt abit emotional I was thinking omg don't cry for gods sake!!
It is nice to have someone else in the same tww definitely, we can go crazy together
Test date is the 28th so that makes it 14 days too!

@Tarsette I can't quite remember and it wasn't even that long ago!! Hope it comes soon for you 🤞🏻

@Tarsette I have no advice as all of my bleeds need to be induced with meds! I just hope that your bleed comes soon!

Yeah, when I went in, I was up in the stirrups with the main light on and I thought it was a bit cringy, then I had the lights go out and instantly felt better... then BAM! Spotlight on the vag. Awful! Yes, let's go crazy together! I am not going to last the whole 14 days, I can tell you that already! haha!

Hi lovely, I was the EXACT same. Mine ended up being four days late (I'm usually bang on time). Luckily clinic still had me penciled in for that time duration. They said anything later than a week then to give them a call and they could plan something

@PT8998 I want to try and refrain from testing but I know I will cave, I have no willpower! I'm already overthinking things! Been quite twingey/crampy since last night and im like ooh wonder what's happening in there! 🤦🏼‍♀️

@willithappen this is my first ivf, first transfer. I'm not even sure when I would get an accurate result 🤔

I’ll join you on the 2ww cray cray as I’m in for transfer today! I didn’t last the full 14 days last time, I had cramping 3 days before OTD which I was convinced was AF arriving, so I decided I couldn’t put myself through it any longer! In hindsight I think the cramps were just bloating!!!

My clinic has us test 16 days after transfer 😬 so a while to wait. Not sure if manage that long lol

@louloulemons ahh brill, I hope everything goes okay with your transfer today and glad you're joining us for the tww. It's nice to have people to share it with !
