FET March/April

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any dates pencilled in for an FET during March/April? I have been given the dates of 30/03 for baseline scan and transfer the week of 12/04.

It would be great to see if there are many others on similar timelines?!

@lucymills1234 yeah, that will be why. It’s good getting a blood test because there’s no second guessing the result, but waiting for the call is so nerve wracking.
I have a 2 year old DD from my last fresh cycle, who is a big distraction :)
Do you have plans for 2ww?

@willithappen so sorry to hear about the bleeding. It will be a worry for you. But it could be the progesterone causing irritation? Hope you’re ok x

willithappen · 04/05/2021 19:45

Would the progesterone randomly cause irritation? I haven't bled with it before but now wondering if I put it in a bit further than usual.
I'll update tomorrow as I feel like I will know how the bleeding is going for sure tomorrow morning and due to call clinic then too so can see what they say.

Fingers crossed it's the common ivf bleeding and nothing else. Having had a mmc before I'm just so anxious and as unexplained infertility also I'm waiting for a halt at every hurdle.

@willithappen thinking of you lovely lady! I hope the spotting stops 🤞🏼❤️

@willithappen the nurses at my clinic told me that it could. So, I’m hoping this is the case for you. I know it’s scary though. X

willithappen · 04/05/2021 19:55

Thanks ladies. It's been good to be on and talk to you about this as I don't have anyone else to talk to yet. I have told my partner but don't want to worry him too much.

I don't think I was told much by nurses about the after affects of the FET tbh. I didn't see a nurse after, just the doctor who did the transfer and told me to keep exercising after and that's about all I got 🙈

PT8998 · 04/05/2021 21:08

@willithappen I know all too well about how rubbish spotting can be! I started spotting Saturday afternoon and it didn’t stop until this morning. I then had a bright red bleed and passed a lot of small (and a couple of slightly larger) clots and it only lasted a few hours.

I now have to wait until viability scan to find out what my outcome is of the bleeding 🥺

Fingers crossed all will be okay 🤞🏼

@PT8998 I have everything crossed for you too and really hope this works out well for us both and is just down to being common in ivf

I have to take two 200mg pessaries tonight as the clinic could only give me 200mg ones instead of 400mg ones. Hopefully I'm still positive tomorrow and can get a prescription from my GP and get 400mg back because I'm sure popping two up there won't do much good if this is from irritation!

PT8998 · 04/05/2021 21:45

@willithappen thanks! Needless to say today has been a really tough day. Who knows what will happen going forward. I will have to just wait and see.

willithappen · 04/05/2021 22:07

@PT8998 I 100% get that. Started off so well for me too and now this :(

PT8998 · 04/05/2021 22:17

@willithappen I’m sorry! I’d give anything to go back to that blissful bubble I was in. I miss it already and I don’t even know the outcome!

I will keep everything crossed for you! You could very well be having an implantation bleed or general spotting.

When is your viability scan?

OP posts:
willithappen · 05/05/2021 04:00

@PT8998 I'm due to call the clinic this morning and I think they will book me in for one in two weeks

willithappen · 05/05/2021 04:36

Well I have done another digi and still 3+ and also for the clinics test they gave me and that's positive too.
No drastic bleeding today, slight drop of really light brown when I wiped this morning. Walking to work so will check again at work as moving might release anything that's there.

lucymills1234 · 05/05/2021 08:06

@BeHereNowx32 No real plans for the TWW - you? In theory I have work to distract me from the wait but in practice it's more the other way round and the wait is distracting me from work...

@PT8998 so sorry you've had such a stressful episode with the bleeding. It's horrible that you have to wait in limbo for a scan. When are you booked in? Do you think there's any chance your clinic might see you earlier given the circumstances?

@willithappen what a relief for you to see the positive test again today and congrats on it now being official! I hope you get a scan booked in soon. I didn't get any info on what to expect after transfer either - as I said before it was just don't do x, y, z and that was it.

I transferred last Friday and test next Tuesday so keep thinking that at least by the end of the day I'll be about halfway through my wait.... not that I am counting or anything :)

PT8998 · 05/05/2021 08:20

@willithappen great news to the 3+, I did one yesterday and it said the same. So gave me a little reassurance. I hope the clinic are able to advise/help you today when you ring in!

@lucymills1234 I’m booked for the 18th May. I have spoken with the clinic twice (first time was about the spotting and they said call back if it gets worse) about the bleeding, they said to wait until the 18th. Even with the pick up in flow/colour/clots yesterday, as it settled after a few hours and almost completely stopped within half a day, they weren’t concerned about it as much as I was. So I’m to call back if I gets worse again.

I’m booking a private scan for next week (should be 6+5 then) and my viability scan is for 7+3. Hopefully, there will be something to give me an answer either way!

Not long til you test! Are you waiting till OTD?

lucymills1234 · 06/05/2021 10:26

@willithappen has the bleeding/spotting stopped?

@PT8998 definitely a good sign that you got a positive test after the bleeding. I imagine it's terrifying but the test hopefully gives you some reassurance.

I'm waiting until OTD to test. I'm really not feeling very positive about it though. My only previous cycle was a BFN so I guess it's no wonder I can't quite picture a positive. I want to believe it'll work out but realise the stats are against me. Doesn't mean I won't be devastated though. I've had some period type cramps (nothing major & could be me reading into things too much), not that it would be due yet anyway. But I think it's too late for it to be implantation - and no spotting or any other symptoms.

willithappen · 06/05/2021 13:34

@lucymills1234 it has 😬 I have been scared to say it out loud/write down that it has though in case I jinx things but nothing yesterday or today so far 🤞🏻 I have been rushing to toilet every 30 mins though I think checking each time and expecting something

lucymills1234 · 07/05/2021 12:50

@willithappen Long may the no bleeding continue!

I'm now 7dp5dt... it's dragging badly. Still thinking it hasn't worked, still trying to tell myself to be positive...

BeHereNowx32 · 07/05/2021 13:11

@lucymills1234 the wait is torture. Hope you’re doing ok. It is still early, but I know that doesn’t make you feel any better!

I nearly bought a test today, but the shop didn’t have any! Also convinced that it hasn’t worked. I don’t have symptoms, apart from a horrible taste in my mouth, like I have chewed paracetamol.

@willithappen hope that spotting stays away. Whah a worry 😔 when is your 7 week scan? X

willithappen · 07/05/2021 13:21

@lucymills1234 you are stronger than I am! I tested at 6dp5dt and I don't know if that made it worse or not as knowing so early before being able to call clinic was a nightmare and it also made me question chemicals more too!

@BeHereNowx32 🤞🏻 had nothing since but I'm still checking every hour. With the pessaries and the stuff that comes out with that every time I think oh no is that blood, and rush to toilet! 😅 7 week scan is on 20th May so still a while to wait. I'm not testing at all until then as no matter what the test says I still won't know until that scan anyway!

lucymills1234 · 07/05/2021 16:35

@BeHereNowx32 your OTD is tomorrow, right? Do you go to the clinic and then they call you later for results? Or will you have to wait until Monday? That taste in your mouth sounds horrible! Fingers crossed for you and a positive result.

@willithappen I don't know if it's strength or fear that keeps me from testing to be honest! It's weird thinking the conclusion has already been reached inside your body (it will have implanted or not) but you have to wait to find out.

willithappen · 07/05/2021 16:47

I get the fear part. I am not going to test again before scan date, the slightest difference in lines I know I will panic and go into a spiral until then

BeHereNowx32 · 07/05/2021 16:58

@lucymills1234 yeah, OTD is tomorrow. I get a blood test at 8:30am and they will phone me around lunch time. When is your test date again?

It is crazy to think it’s already done or not, and we have to wait to find out. Xx

lucymills1234 · 08/05/2021 12:47

@BeHereNowx32 I hope your test went ok this morning and you don't have to wait too long to hear. All the luck.

BeHereNowx32 · 08/05/2021 12:47

I have the pregnancy hormone, but it’s soo low (6). I need to get retested in a week. Can’t see it working if it’s so low? Xx

lucymills1234 · 08/05/2021 12:51

@BeHereNowx32 our messages crossed... How frustrating for you, that's a bit of a non-answer isn't it. I don't know anything about betas, sorry. It's torture but not sure what else you can do but wait - and maybe take a home test in a few days, something may show up by then?
