Oops just checked and OTD is 16th... even longer!

Mrbay · 03/03/2021 13:45

@thetallgirl - lucky you! Mine are still on fire!! Good luck for today

@HopingForRainbow2021 - I hate that progesterone does this to us, it's hard to know what is drugs and what is true. I feel for you having a 5hr round trip to know, I think I would POAS before going just to know - good luck! How many days past transfer are you now?

@Maddie020 - welcome! it is an exciting process. Do you know what your protocol is?

@Mancbear88 - sounds like me, I am just a bloated achy mess!! I can't stop eating wotsits!

Also, how much housework and lifting is everyone doing? I know they say no hard working out but I'm not sure how much I can safely lift/move/push etc.

Thanks!

@thetallgirl best of luck!

Hey, hope everyone is well! Smile
I'm having a bit of drama with buserelin and would appreciate any insights!

I started the 3 weeks Buserelin on my cycle day 2. I'd raised my concern about this with my clinic as I couldn't see how I'd get a period within those 3 weeks as I'm usually a 32 day cycle. The reassured me I would...

It's now day 19 and no period and I've only got until Monday. (first scan to put me on Menopur). So I called the clinic and they said they'd keep me on Buserlin another week (terrible news for booking time off work fro EC!).. And I said I still wouldnt come on period if its linked to my cycle, as another week would only take me up to 30/31. If it didn't come by then, they'd cancel the cycle! Which would mean me having injected and wasted like 4 weeks.. Not to mention all the symptoms and weight gain!

Any ideas on whether its absolutely linked to cycle or if I've got any chance of getting a very early period? Xx

ET today and fantastic news from embryologist that our 2 ferilised eggs have both made it to day 5. I've had a 5AA transfered today, and our little query egg that they weren't even totally sure if it'd fertilised that's kept everyone on their toes has done a big U-turn and was graded 4AA today, which was a brilliant surprise for everyone. Embryologist said she would not have expected us to have anything to freeze, so we're really pleased this little one is going to the freezer for now. And for good measure becasue I'm willing to do anything at this point, we went to MacD's afterwards, for the frist time in probably a good 5-7 years Shock

@thetallgirl I'm sorry you've had such a drop off. I'm 31 too, but we had a bad EC, with only 4 collected, 2 fertilised. We have been really lucky, that we still had both today on day 5. I'm in for bloods at the clinic on 15th, but it would have been the 13th but they don't do pregnancy bloods over weekend. I'm normally good at going a full week before really starting the itch to test, but I'm going to try hard to wait it out until the 13th.

@Rachae Sorry I don't know about Buserelin but I'm sure someone else will have some experience to share.

@Maddie020 It's my first round too, and I've got to say this forum has really helped. Its so much more of a rollercoaster of emotions than I'd expected. Best of luck to you.

Nix49816 · 03/03/2021 14:13

Hi @Maddie020 can't comment on how optimistic to be as this is my first round also but welcome to the thread. It is nerve wracking and emotional coz there's so much riding on it for everyone! I've never joined a forum before and don't always have chance with work to comment personally to everyone but find it really comforting having a group of people all going through the same thing and checking in on everyone's posts when I can each day. Nice to read other people's thoughts so it's not just my own in my head all day long! What treatment are you on?

2mumlife · 03/03/2021 14:14

@Blessing12 big thanks for the positivity the last few days

@RichmondLady1981 particularly thanks to you, as its given me so much hope seeing you get 100% fertilised going until day 5, which gave me so much hope

Blessing12 · 03/03/2021 14:18

@HopingForRainbow2021 yes I think I would do one beforehand as that's a very long drive.
Good luck.

@Mancbear88 yes iv been feeling sick constantly definitely the cyclogest side affects, im thinking I have alot still in my system because the line is very strong still.

Mrbay · 03/03/2021 14:26

@Rachae - I'm not sure if the buserelin works with your own cycle or not, last few times I've been on it, it took 3 weeks for me to have a bleed. Will they not prescribe anything to bring the bleed on?

@2mumlife - I am so utterly chuffed for you - I have a little feeling that you'll get a happy update today. Congratulations on being PUPO!!

@Maddie020 - expect lots of needles! Getting bloated and cranky is part of the course - but most of all try to enjoy it, you are on the path to having a baby :)
I haven't done anything special regarding diet, just lots of protein when I started to stim.

@Mrbay Thank you :D I missed my 'reassurance call' this morning can you believe! so all embryologist said on the voicemail was they absolutely needed me in today for transfer today and sounded positive. It was really nice, she actually came into our room today to tell us (at the EC they embryologists called from the next room as they've been keeping contact to a minimum) once we got to the clinic. I've also got a terrible habit of going faint with catheters going through my cervix (its happened at 2 IUIs and the HyCoSy) and I was fine today, which I'm also taking as a good sign

Kitttycatt · 03/03/2021 14:42

@Rachae I know the last time I was on down regulation I had a bleed only two weeks after my normal period finished and it was heavy so I think the hormones take over your usual cycle. Hope it hurries up for you!

@2mumlife @thetallgirl congrats on being PUPO!

Blessing12 · 03/03/2021 14:53

@2mumlife ahhh your so welcome, im so happy for you what a fantastic out come.

Pansy222 · 03/03/2021 15:10

Well ladies after our week after egg collection and all that trapped wind and constipation. My system has done a complete U-turn and I’m sat on the toilet for another reason. Nightmare!!

dragonfly1978 · 03/03/2021 15:23

@Blessing12 I was caught out last cycle by the double trigger shot and showed strong positive until 12 days after ET which then was negative and I was devastated at OTD. This time I am absolutely not testing early - I can't go through the high then crushing low again 😥

Motherofkittens28 · 03/03/2021 15:35

@2mumlife so happy for you, thats a great result! It gives me hope for my one and only

Rachae · 03/03/2021 15:52

@2mumlife thanks very much and congrats on your transfer... that's amazing! It's also amazing to me to know how someone doesn't go to maccys for 5-7 years. Haha! (I'm addicted)

@Mrbay thanks! They haven't prescribed anything, just seem a bit non fussed about it. 'Oh well, we'll have to cancel your cycle after another week' - like it's the norm! I've got surplus buserelin, so I'm tempted to double up the injections until the scan Monday... not sure if a good idea but ive read online that can bring it on. Just cant bear the thought of this all being for nothing and waiting until the summer to try again.

Thanks also @Kitttycatt .. hopefully will be the case for me too!

Blessing12 · 03/03/2021 15:59

@dragonfly1978 I completely get that, im glad iv tested now and I can see the trigger leave my system, because if I hadn't I would have definitely tested early and been caught out and probably devasted as it would have been false.

Thanks for letting me know about your experience.

2mumlife · 03/03/2021 17:12

@Motherofkittens28 Just keep on reciting to yourself that is only takes one, and quality is more important than quantity. I really hope your one is the perfect one for you Star

@Rachae Honestly never go, I'd rather a KFC, but even then it's been years. Love a Papa John's pizza though Grin. I did prostap downregulation, and my period was also taking its jolly old time to come (I'm a longer normal cycle too)- they had scheduled me in for a scan because it hadn't come in the 12 days they'd expected, but then it did on day 14 I think. Can they offer you a scan to see what's going on? Or at least explain why they'd have to cancel rather than give it a bit longer?

Rachae · 03/03/2021 17:13

Hey @dragonfly1978 I remember you from the thread last year. How are you doing? Hope you're ok x

Rachae · 03/03/2021 17:15

@2mumlife haha ok those are all great fast food choices tho! Love a KFC. So they've not cancelled yet... I have a scan on Monday and they said if no period and lining too thick then they'll give me another week. Then, they'll cancel.
I've hot to hope the period is early as on my normal cycle it won't show by then.

IVFat43 · 03/03/2021 17:27

So after a long wait (18 days) my PGT-A results from the 5 tested have finally returned... disappointingly 3 were abnormal and 2 were inconclusive.. the old saying quality over quantity repeats itself! I’m now booked in Monday for a consultation to get the 2 implanted and hope for the best.. both are 2-2 and considered good embryos 🤞🤞... gutted I haven’t any to freeze!

dragonfly1978 · 03/03/2021 17:55

@Rachae yes I remember you as well!! How are you? Where are you in the cycle? I am on my second try, short protocol and had 9 eggs retrieved on Monday, 8 were mature and 6 have fertilised with ICSI so now waiting and praying some make it to 5 days on Saturday for transfer 🤞🤞🤞
