@Mancbear88 aww that sounds like you really went though it 😭
Out of 16 eggs they managed to get 13 sperm to inject , 9 fertilised 🙌🏼 They will update on Sunday with the quality before freezing

marianmaria · 02/03/2021 12:58

Hello!
I'm in the same journey with you, had my day 2 emvryo tranfer on Friday, 26th of December, good luck to all of us :)

marianmaria · 02/03/2021 13:00

sorry meant 26th of Februally

Mrbay · 02/03/2021 13:34

@Motherofkittens28 - all you can do is have faith that your embryos will do their thing

@Melissa1983 - it won't fall out! each time I've had a transfer I've gone for a wee as soon as they have finished and I've gotten pregnant once.

@Georgia2799 - everything crossed for you today

@Blessing12 - sneezing probably helped, same body reaction as an orgasm!
Sorry about the others that didn't make it, I know it is disappointing but you have the best in you, and there is no reason why they shouldn't make it

Ref EC - painful afterwards for a good few hours but just felt like trapped wind and I was so bloody constipated (still bloody am!! )

@Mancbear88 - yeah apparently the heart rate raises slightly, I haven't checked mine - I'll have a look in a bit and report back!

@thetallgirl apparently so - not sure how the drugs we’re on affect it - but I do love a bit of data!!

@Georgia2799 it wasn’t the most fun experience but I did get a BFP with that round, and the FETs are much easier. Hopefully you’ll start feeling better soon Smile

2mumlife · 02/03/2021 13:47

@RichmondLady1981 Excellent news! Fingers crossed you continue with a 100% success rate when it comes to the genetic screening

@Motherofkittens28 I'm currently going out of my nut waiting for clinic to phone today. Was told yesterday they'll phone today with a quick update and instructions and time for ET tomororw if it looks like we'll be able to go ahead. And I've still not heard anything. Our clinic uses an online treatment calendar, so I'm currently behaving like a crazy lady checking it every 10 mins to see if they've updated it with a time whilst I'm waiting for them to call. I'm like you, that my dreams are just filled with worries about what the next update will be. Process is far more emotionally draining that I had anticiapted.

Mrbay · 02/03/2021 13:56

@Georgia2799 - that's still really positive.

welcome @marianmaria - congratulations on being PUPO

@Mancbear88 - no change to average heart rate yet.

There is ABSOLUTELY some kind of voodoo magic about posting on this forum Star . Just like yesterday, when I was getting to that panicky anxious stage and posted, as soon as I posted they called. I'm posting here everytime I want my clinic to call from now on

Both of our day 4's are compacting nicely, even our poorer looking egg that they originaly weren't sure had fertilised normally and didn't look as good yesterday, and they're happy that things look positive enough schedule us for ET tomorrow, though there is still a question mark over whether our poorer looking egg will make it to a healthy enough bastocyst.

So pumped up with emotions and got teary on the phone they've even said they'll give me a quick call first thing tomorrow for reassurance that its all ok to come in for ET late tomorrow morning.

Blessing12 · 02/03/2021 14:07

@Mrbay oh reallu I didnt think of it like that, but I literally havnt stopped sneezing.

For those who are so inpatient like myself and test early, iv just realised we did a trigger shot (mine was double shot) this will effect my test results, so I'm thinking definitely wait longer incase I get a false result, which iv been reading is very common as the HcG is still in your system at the time of testing.
I think the 2ww is the worst part of the process, im so wishing this week away 🤦‍♀️

Blessing12 · 02/03/2021 14:12

Not sure if its in my head but anyone else feel sick today? I'm only 1dp transfer.... but feel really sick

Pansy222 · 02/03/2021 14:41

Sick and nauseas yes but it’s too early I think. Progesterone do tend to do that too though and nerves.

Sneezing though I reckon maybe a great sign. Sneezing happens when foreign bodies enter your system. (I’ve been doing it too)🤧🤧🤧

Mancbear88 · 02/03/2021 14:43

@Blessing12 I’m not recommending this in any way but with my fresh I bought a bunch of cheap tests from Amazon and then just tested daily till I got a negative (to show the trigger had left) then I knew the positive the next day was real. Slightly obsessive behaviour!

@Blessing12 I don’t feel like I’m going to vomit but I do feel nauseous today I’m also 1dp5dt. Maybe it’s the drugs? I’m not sure!

HopingForRainbow2021 · 02/03/2021 14:46

@Pansy222 Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so happy to have found this group. You all seem so lovely and so supportive of one another - Im am already feeling better for it :)

@RichmondLady1981 thank you , it really does seem to be a lovely group. That is such great news for you, 3 wonderful embryos! I hope the next two weeks doesn't drag too much. It's so difficult playing the waiting game. I will be keeping fingers crossed for more good news for you.

@Nix49816 it is such a rollercoaster isn't it. You are definitely right about lock down - it's so hard when so much of normal life is suspended. I went for a good walk this morning, and really find that helps when feeling down about it all.

@thetallgirl that sounds positive to me! Will keep fingers crossed for your 7. Good luck with ET tomorrow :)

@Motherofkittens28 that is such great news, I am so pleased for you. I will be keeping everything crossed that your embryo is still going strong Thursday x

@Melissa1983 congratulations PUPO :) we are in the 2ww together... hope the days don't drag too much.

@Blessing12 we had quite a similar situation. We had 5, but none of the other 4 made it. Just trying to stay strong and positive about the one we did have. I completely relate about the sneezing too!

@marianmaria we also had ET on 26th :) It feels like at least a week ago already - days are crawling by.

Blessing12 · 02/03/2021 15:17

@Mancbear88 uno thats actually not a bad idea, I do have some cheapies laying around from a while ago i may just do that, just to give me piece of mind.
I'll do a test later and see if that comes out positive which I'm sure it will but like u say at least that way I can see it decline.
We are exactly the same day, do you have an idea when you will test?
Yes the nausea maybe the cyclogest but iv been taking that now since last Wednesday from EC.

@HopingForRainbow2021 im glad im not the only one sneezing away lol.

Mancbear88 · 02/03/2021 15:28

@Blessing12 with my fresh I transferred on the Monday and got my (very faint) positive on the Saturday, I believe that FET are slower but I’ll probably test Sunday if I last that long. With my last FET I tested after 3 days which was excessive 😂 so I’m gonna try and wait a bit longer.

I’ll wait till OTD to do a digital test as even with my BFP on my fresh I didn’t get a positive on the digital till my OTD 8 days after positive on cheapies.

marianmaria · 02/03/2021 15:30

@HopingForRainbow2021 that's awesome! I'm having my test on 10th, I am watching lots of "Grace and Frankie" episodes in Netflix while waiting, I have to recommend it to all of you, if you haven't watched it already, it somehow keeps me calm, I don't even know how exactly (my previous times I was not so relaxed) but maybe it is just amusing me :) if not this, I propose to find yourself nice funny series, Emily in Paris is also nice :)

Blessing12 · 02/03/2021 15:47

@Mancbear88 so as I'm obsessive, iv just done a cheapie and its got the faintest line so that the HcG from the trigger so ill continue to test with the cheap ones and hopefully in a few days it will be completely gone.

3dpt that will be Thursday for us is that correct?
I was thinking of testing @ 5dpt as iv seen so many vids of ladies getting there bfp at that stage but I know everyone is different and things happen at different stages.

RichmondLady1981 · 02/03/2021 16:04

Hi ladies.

I’ve now moved from one worry (embryos making it to day 5 blasts) to a new worry (PGS testing).

Has anyone had any experience with this before? I have just frightened myself by researching the net. There are sooooo many couples who’ve used it to get absolutely ZERO normal embryos back. In some cases, 5 or 6 blasts have been sent off with no normal retuning. I was told u had approx a 50/50 chance of normal coming back but this is certainly not reflected in experiences I’ve read online.

In fact; some couples used PGS testing, had no normal embryos from the results; then went onto a new cycle and decided NOT to use PGS testing, to then having a healthy pregnancy. It’s slightly concerning to learn how many people this has happened to. We were strongly advised to do it since a miscarriage in summer last year but we have a healthy son.

@Mrbay I can see that you’ve commented on a few of the forums on mumsne about this - pls May I ask if you’ve had it and what’s your honest opinion? I really would appreciate to hear what you think. I know it’s a minefield.

Anyone used it? Then decided against it? What were your success rates?

Thanks for your thoughts and honesty.

Mrbay · 02/03/2021 16:35

@richmondlady1981 - we haven't had it as the consultant didn't recommend it due to my age (30 when I started and 33 now). He has seen that couples have had abnormal embryos put back in and had a live birth, this is echoed from others in the Care team/group.
However to be able to exclude certain defects it is useful, the HFEA states it needs more research.

However, step AWAY from google. You and DP are individuals and unique so no one will be able to tell you what your percentage will be.

Massive hugs as I know it is so tough to not know the whys

Mancbear88 · 02/03/2021 16:41

@Blessing12 yep Thursday is 3dp5dt. It’s so hard, as I know if it’s negative I’ll be upset even if I logically tell myself it’s too early. But I know I’ll probably have tested several times before the end of the week!

I wish it was possible to just know if you’d get a baby or not!!!

Blessing12 · 02/03/2021 16:52

@Mancbear88 im going to be exactly the same, dont think your on your own because that will be me also.
Keep me posted and ill also let you know how my cheapie test goes tomorrow, I want the trigger shot to hurry up and get out my system.

Melissa1983 · 02/03/2021 16:59

@HopingForRainbow2021 I'm hoping this part won't be so bad, I've hated being on meds the past 5 weeks and waiting for transfer so hoping this part will be easier now I've got to transfer. It's my first transfer so time will tell.

@marianmaria I love Grace and Frankie that my favourite thing on Netflix, wish I had something as good to get stuck into over the next few weeks.

I really don't want to test but I do have one in the house from ages ago. Let's see how long it lasts 🤣

Pansy222 · 02/03/2021 18:04

Testing Early ?

What day do you think is too early to tell?

I find poas too early, far too painful and I get absolutely totally obsessed every day about it and want to pee on every stick I can get my hands on.
Where as when I’ve waited until test day I’ve felt better either way.

This is totally personal choice but what are your thoughts ? X

Mancbear88 · 02/03/2021 18:04

@Blessing12 fingers crossed that the early tests are positive then we don’t have a nightmare two weeks!! Although I’m sure I’d find something to stress about!!

Knitting like a mad woman to distract myself from the bathroom cupboard btw 😖
