@RichmondLady1981 @Motherofkittens28 so sorry you didn't get the news you were after, sending lots of luck for next time x

@Rachae yes my egg collection was put forward by a day. The doctor thought it could be a possibly at the first stimms scan but when the nurse rang me up to confirm next scan and egg collection she said my schedule hadn't changed. At my next scan another doctor was surprised at how big my follicles were and I had to take the trigger that night. I'm sure communication was lost somewhere along the line! I was very bloated and uncomfortable too, you must have lots of follicles x

Rachae · 16/03/2021 07:51

Thanks @FirstTimeIVFers and @kitttycatt
! Yea mega bloated today so I'm hopeful it'll get put forward. It did last time by around 4 days.. was curious to know if its happened with others. I'd definitely rather have EC this week or Saturday than next week if i can. Injections are unbearable! I had about 20 follicles/eggs last time but large number doesn't mean anything to me unfortunately, as didn't get a graded embryo out of them. Actually hoping for less this time round, as its defo quality not quantity xx

DauntedAF · 16/03/2021 07:54

@JessTTC thank you 🥰

Mrbay · 16/03/2021 08:30

@RichmondLady1981 - those notes have helped so many people narrow down which path is right for them - I figure you only really have that appointment to make it all about you, you will know how you reacted best with your cycle. No matter what treatment I've had, I always go in with a bit of research and knowledge of my notes so I can assist the Dr in narrowing down how best to treat me - I am like my own personal Google!
Love the Dr Bay! My name from my horse's official name - I'm rubbish at thinking of names!

@Rachae - I would love to say it does go down but in my case I look 5 months pregnant!!

@Mrbay oh no haha!

Goldilocks2528 · 16/03/2021 11:59

Hi ladies
Can I join you please? I am currently doing my first round, and I'm feeling quite down about it all. We were told we have a 9% chance or less of success. My Partners sperm is frozen as he had cancer years ago, and my results are really bad (AMH 2, AFC 5 (last August .. could have changed), high FSH).

I am on day 30 of Buserelin and day 4 of stims (Gonal F), I have my final scan on Monday. I feel no different on the stims, and maybe that's because I have such a low AFC so don't really feel bloated/have twinges etc. It could also mean its not working at all :-( Guess I'll have to wait and see. Very scared it won't work, and a bit scared it will as EC terrifies me!

Good luck to you all. I'll read through the previous pages to get up to speed on how you are all doing in your cycles. Sending you all virtual hugs, this is quite tough sometimes isn't it?!

Georgia2799 · 16/03/2021 12:24

@Goldilocks2528 hiya I totally understand how your feeling right now, my partners sperm had to be surgically retrieved & frozen 6 months back due to a medical condition he had as a child , which we only found out about once we started ttc. One positive I can give you all “ 6 straws”

Goldilocks2528 · 16/03/2021 12:39

Hi @Georgia2799 thanks so much. Great news that your odds were increased, I hope it worked for you Smile

elsiegoggings · 16/03/2021 14:01

I'm in the 2ww from hell. I can't describe how awful I feel! I just have this horrible negative feeling that it isn't going to work. I'm not having the same symptoms that I had with my little boy 5 years ago. I'm not having any strong twinges (apart from the first two days and I'm sure that was after the procedure) or head aches or anything that I had last time. I just feel really down and 100% sure it's not worked. I'm 4dp5dt.
The symptoms I'm feeling I'm sure are PMT - mild periods cramps, extremely moody and basically I'm being a total bitch to my husband, crying, hot flashes in the mornings, feeling light headed and out of it, stingy eyes, like I'm dreaming all the time, and just a strong crushing feeling that it's not worked.
I'm meeting up with friends and trying to keep busy but it's not helping. Every day feels like a year and of course I've tested twice already which was stark white.
Things with hubby aren't great - we've been having arguments, mainly about money and him not being caring enough. He does try to help but it's by doing the dishes or hugging me. But I just want him to understand how I'm feeling.
Can someone shake me or something? ☹️

Goldilocks2528 · 16/03/2021 14:31

Oh @elsiegoggings, I'd hug you if I could Flowers It must be so so hard during the 2ww. I haven't got that far yet, and if I do I think it will be the toughest part of all.

I am sure that just because you feel different this time it doesn't necessarily mean it's not worked. I am sure there are other ladies on here that can reassure you that they felt differently too but that they got their BFP. I guess our bodies change over time, and so feeling different could just be one of those things.

Men are so different to us sometimes, and half the time I am sure they don't really know how to react or really understand how we feel/why we feel a certain way. I know mine doesn't! I am sure your husband loves you, he is hugging you and although you need more than that it's a start and he is trying to show you he cares. It's a very stressful time for you both, maybe you could do something nice together, just the two of you?

I really hope it works for you. Do you have much longer to wait before you can officially test?

FirstTimeIVFers · 16/03/2021 14:32

@elsiegoggings it's just the worst isn't it? I feel very much the same. Some days I'm convinced it's worked and others I'm so angry at myself for being so stupid and even thinking it could have. Absolute torture!

I had a moment of weakness at dinner time today and POAS! I'm 7dp5dt and there wasn't any sign of a line. I know it's early but I couldn't fight the feeling to wee on it any longer. My boyf came home early from work and I told him and he wasn't very happy with me apparently "they give you a date for a reason" - that's all well and good for you to say Love but you aren't the one constantly analysing every little thing your body does!
I feel like you lot would understand my frustration more than he does!Angry

2mumlife · 16/03/2021 14:39

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to everyone with positive outcomes!

I promised myself I would come back when I was in a better head space. For quick recap I'm 31, normal AMH of 18.8 on first IVF round after 4 failed IUIs using donor sperm. Started spotting 4dp5dt and went to full blown AF. I did OTD yesterday and of course it was a BFN. Last week was really rough (I signed myself off work because I couldn't stop crying), but this week is better. I think it helps that I'm off all the hormones now.

We had our 'review' today, which I thought might be of interest to others going through their BFN, particularly if you're bleeding early like me.

We have 1 beautiful 4AA frozen, which is our next plan. We'd be on a Fyremadel, Progynova, Progesterone injections and Cyclogest mix. We're not planning next cycle right away, as this particular cycle has hit me hard, but at least clinic has a plan for FET.

My response to stims has been rated as a poorer responder, as we only got 4 eggs (2 mature) this round, though lots of follicules that they would have expected eggs in (we only stimmed for 7 days though before we were told to take the trigger). We've been advised to have my AMH re-tested before another fresh cycle if we need to go down that path again, and to move to a Flare protocol next time (rather than the Prostap, Menopur and Cyclogest mix we had this time ).

@Motherofkittens28 I'm really sorry you also started bleeding early too Flowers

@RichmondLady1981 I'm really sorry to hear your PGA results weren't what you hoped. Best of luck in the future Flowers

2mumlife · 16/03/2021 14:43

Also re: expenses, we paid for our IUI's fresh each time, but have used an Access Fertility package for our IVF treatment - we went with a 2 x fresh IVF + all frozen transferd being covered (though we pay for our drugs seperately each cycle). I know not all clinics will partner with Access Ferility.

The prices some people are paying on here make me glad we chose our package!

elsiegoggings · 16/03/2021 14:45

@Goldilocks2528 thank you!! There isn't really anything that we could do together to be honest although we could go for a walk. 😊 I've been googling a bit and it seems this bit is hard for a lot of people. It's having the embryo in and thinking 'oh I might mess it up!' My husband is very worried about money and how we can even afford it so of course I said 'well you'll be glad when it doesn't work!'
We had a lot of negative things going on before - no one seemed as happy for us this time, obvs a year of lockdown has taken its toll. We just aren't 'happy' at all.
If this doesn't work (or even if it does) I'd have to work hard to start my business up (I've retrained recently) just feels like we're not in a good happy place.

elsiegoggings · 16/03/2021 14:47

@FirstTimeIVFers oh I don't blame you at all! I'm planning on testing again before the OTD. Morning pee is the most likely to show something. My friend tested the day before her OTD and got negative but positive on the OTD! Good luck! The longer you can wait the better though! Smile

FirstTimeIVFers · 16/03/2021 14:52

@elsiegoggings i was literally mid stream thinking "why am i doing this? and why am I doing this at 1pm? and why am i doing this so early?" then got a negative and was furious with myself.
TWW is defs a lesson in patience for us all.
My OTD is next Tuesday, but I have 3 more tests in the bathroom cupboard. Planning to test Saturday, Sunday and then Tuesday.
Surely if i play the ratio game one has got to come back positive? Wink lol

elsiegoggings · 16/03/2021 14:55

@FirstTimeIVFers 😊 mine is 22nd. Ha! I said to my husband 'if I just draw a positive line on with felt tip - will that count?' Yes I just did one 4dp5dt at 1pm! I knew it would be negative and that I was wasting a test. I can't remember when I got a positive last time but I know I wasted a lot of cheap tests in the early days which weren't good enough to detect pregnancy until later on. 🙄

FirstTimeIVFers · 16/03/2021 15:06

@elsiegoggings I'll have everything crossed for you on the 22nd!
I think sometimes just to shut your brain up you do just need to wee on something to get it out of your system! It's a shame it can be a £8 trip to the bathroom though haha

RichmondLady1981 · 16/03/2021 16:04

@2mumlife so lovely to hear from you and great that you sound much more positive. I also have my consultation in 30 mins so am intrigued as to what he has to say. Hopefully I will come bouncing back like you!

We can learn so much from our failed cycles- that’s the key!! What are they going to do this time to improve things.

I’ll keep you posted as to what the advice is for me.

Any idea when you plan to transfer your little beauty??

Just remember ladies how lucky you are to have something to transfer. I don’t mean that in a patronising way- I would truly love to be in that position. 💕 🌸

wishfulbean · 16/03/2021 16:04

@FirstTimeIVFers @elsiegoggings

Are you even going through IVF or TCC if you don't find yourself randomly peeing on sticks even when you know it's not a good time to test 😂

I've somehow managed to restrain myself (so far!!) to one test since transfer to check the trigger shot is out of my system. Will I wait and not pee on anything again until my date on 19th... we'll see 😆

2mumlife · 16/03/2021 16:28

@RichmondLady1981 I hope you come bouncing back too! We're currently thinking May/June. We've got the treatment diary of what would be done when, and thinking we can plan more once next period has been and I know where my cycles at. It will also mean most my teaching will be over so hopefully a more relaxing point in the year, and we can get in the cycle before I turn another year older Shock. You're right though I'm so grateful for having 1 frozen, even just mentally to not have to think about another fresh cycle right away. I feel more positive about the HRT protocol used for FET for some reason, and reassured by having progesterone injections as well as the cyclogest lined up, so we'll see

dragonfly1978 · 16/03/2021 17:58

I think the same thing may be happening as last time for me 😥. No really strong lines and now 10dp5dt. Still positive but if anything they are lighter so thinking I am out for this cycle - our last one 😥

IVF - Feb/March - continued
elsiegoggings · 16/03/2021 18:14

@dragonfly1978 I'm really sorry to read this! Have you spoken to your clinic? Big hugs xx ❤️

dragonfly1978 · 16/03/2021 18:32

@elsiegoggings thanks. No can't speak to them as am not supposed to test for another 3 days at 13dp5dt!! They will just say it's too early!

Mrbay · 16/03/2021 20:26

Welcome @Goldilocks2528 - I wouldn't focus to much on the statistics as you and DH are individuals

@2mumlife - I'm glad you are feeling a little better.
I always felt better after speaking with the consultant and having a slight tweak to the plan.
I think lubion is the missing link for lots of woman, yes it is a bit pricey but if it delivers you a baby who cares!?!

Sorry really tired today, I've read all the new posts and thinking of you all.
