@DauntedAF

So so so strong!!! Congratulations!
That was for you @mrbay Forgot to tag you!
Rachae · 14/03/2021 09:56

Hey a bit of a tmi random one! I'm 6 days into stims now and I'm having really weird dreams.. basically every night I dream about being with another man! (Quite erotic too!) These are always men I know, like colleagues etc and never my fiance. Is this my body telling me I'm genetically not supposed to be with my fiance Hmm x

RichmondLady1981 · 14/03/2021 10:34

@DauntedAF and @dragonfly1978... huge congratulations!! 🎊

@elsiegoggings so sorry you’re feeling down. Huge amount of pressure on us ladies. My advice at this stage would be try to get out and get some fresh air. Listen to some podcasts that make you feel lifted. Do some yoga and stretching. Get those natural endorphins pumping. 🤗

RichmondLady1981 · 14/03/2021 10:35

@Rachae the exact same thing happened to me! And my husband was nowhere to be seen!! It’s the hormones!

Enjoy them while they last! 😉

Motherofkittens28 · 14/03/2021 10:35

@Rachae, I've had some steamy dreams since embryo transfer, I think its all the hormones and I'm sure that's true during stimulation as well. Mine haven't been my OH but faceless kind of men. I dont reckon it means anything at all!

ThePurpleFairy · 14/03/2021 12:07

This thread is moving so fast, I can hardly keep up! Congratulations to the BFPs that have happened since my last post! So many of them!

I felt a bit sickly for the first time this morning, wondering if it’s the progesterone as I haven’t even had transfer yet. The only other thing it could be is that I switched to pregnacare max last night because it has l arginine in it and maybe those have made me feel a bit off (usually take the pre conception one). I feel ok now it was just when I first woke up.

I’m getting nervous for my transfer now, I don’t know why I just have a bad feeling about it. I feel like we’ve been so lucky so far that this first FET just isn’t meant to be our time. Also there’s so many BFPs on this thread that I’m bound to have to level it out 😑 it’s out of my hands, so I’m trying not to dwell on it, but it’s so hard to take in that you’re just along for the ride and have no control whatsoever

DauntedAF · 14/03/2021 12:43

@Rachae I've been getting those dreams too. I'd say enjoy them! Finally a not terrible side effect!! 😉 😘

@ThePurpleFairy all you can do is control the controllable. Try focus on your well-being both physically and mentally so you can go into the transfer and the tww as well as you can. There's an app called the Mindful IVF and it offers guided 10/15 min meditations for each stage of the process. Think it was 5/6 pounds for it. I'd really recommend it as it re-enforces how amazing you and your body is and helps you focus on the positives rather than the fears. I've never used anything like that before and loved it. Fresh air as well and as many distractions as you can find. Now's the time to make that jigsaw, paint that picture, read that book. 🥰
Rachae · 14/03/2021 13:02

Haha thanks to all the dream comments! I'm glad it's fairly normal and I guess I will enjoy Blush

ThePurpleFairy · 14/03/2021 15:55

@DauntedAF thank you I shall look into it, I think I’ll definitely need it for the 2ww! I have 2 jigsaw puzzles at the ready as well ☺️

Separate question to all, this is rather embarrassing but has anyone else found that progesterone gives them horrendous smelling farts 😳? I’m not sure whether it’s just coincidence, but wow! 🤣

elsiegoggings · 14/03/2021 16:45

@RichmondLady1981 thank that's a great idea. We went out today and I feel so much better. 😊

Quick question - I'm crampy and there's a sort of pinchy feeling on my left where I know they did the scratch and placed the embryo but it's only when I walk around in the day. At night I feel absolutely nothing. Could this just be from the procedure?

RichmondLady1981 · 14/03/2021 16:52

@elsiegoggings glad you’re feeling more uplifted! Can’t beat a bit of fresh air.

It could be the procedure but it could also be your little embryo implanting. When I fell pregnant with my son, I remember feeling a pinching sensation on one side for a couple of days, was almost uncomfortable.... I ended up with a positive pregnancy test a week later! 😁. Stay positive 🤗

elsiegoggings · 14/03/2021 17:26

@RichmondLady1981 was it even when you were in bed or not moving?
I can't remember with my son - I e looked through an old message and I had said I was feeling cramps but it was more like period pains. I haven't felt anything yet where I'm like 'aha!' I was very sore after my scratch for a few days so it could have just disturbed it.
Driving my self crazy. Off to eat sticky toffee pudding! 😊😂

RichmondLady1981 · 14/03/2021 17:54

@elsiegoggings I remember being on honeymoon and I felt it most when I was lying down on a sun lounger. So yes when I was still I noticed it! 😀

Just about to join my husband and 22month old son for Mother’s Day roast. Enjoy the pudding!! Yummy!

MrTumbleTumble · 14/03/2021 17:59

@elsiegoggings I've been feeling this since a few days after ET and I got my BFP last week. Mine was whenever my tummy was compressed and then stopped being if that makes sense - after I've had a wee, or if I changed position in my sleep.

My main problem now is that I'm hugely bloated and quite constipated - I look like I'm about 4 months pregnant and I'm 4.5 weeks! I've been taking deflatine and fibogel every day and nothing is helping. Pretty sure it's mostly the progesterone (cyclogest and lubion) and hoping it passes soon.

Motherofkittens28 · 14/03/2021 18:00

Hi everyone, sorry to keep going on about this but I have now been spotting for 5 days! Its still only brown but seems to be getting heavier. Has anyone else had this on any of their cycles? Im now 8dp5dt so have been spotting since day 3! I guess by normal standards I would be due to start AF tomorrow, I feel like this might happen even through the progesterone. I've told my clinic but they just say don't worry unless I start to get red bleeding.

IVFat43 · 14/03/2021 18:20

@chloedancer897 I’ve taken covid 3 times and was fine apart from one cycle, 5 days of hell... I found out later the reason - I had taken a prescription for high level anti depression instead, how can they get that so wrong! Hope you feel better soon

@RichmondLady1981 I had my results after 18 days... hold on a little longer, you may get them sooner... not sure if you’ve seen my comments, hope you don’t get stung with “add on” costs like me 🤞

Ps, congratulations to all the BFPs, wonderful news and over the moon for you all 🥰💞xx

Mrbay · 14/03/2021 18:33

@RichmondLady1981 - I hope you don't have to wait past Tuesday and get some good ones.
Yeah it's a very interesting study, but I would expect only a few percent of people who go through IVF can afford 9 cycles

@elsiegoggings - just have to take each day as it comes but I know how all consuming it becomes

@dragonfly1978 - it's hard to say how dark it should be as 8dp transfer is a max of 2-days past implantation so still pretty early. test again in 2 days to see how it is progressing - no point doing them each day as HCG doubles ever 48-hrs

@DauntedAF - Congratulations!! I'm still a bit scared to do my 2nd digital test in case it is still 1 - 2 weeks - I will be 14dp5dt tomorrow so I need to just do it in the morning i think!
Regarding a chemical, normally I wouldn't expect you to go past 1-2 weeks on the digi but no one knows without bloods.

Mrbay · 14/03/2021 18:44

Thanks @DauntedAF - it is the first time I've used FRER and the first time that I have seen progression lines. I just need to hold tight until the 1st April.

@ThePurpleFairy - i think it is only natural to compare but you are about to start your next step of your journey and we will all be here for you :)
Ref wind - yep DH has no eyebrows left!!

@elsiegoggings @MrTumbleTumble - I've had a weird pulling/sharp pain when I push or move quickly - it is very weird!

@mrtumbletumble - you sound the same as me - thankfully not constipated but I am so bloated and windy!! I can't fit in my jeans - is it too early for mat wear??!

@Motherofkittens28 - I know it is worrying but brown spots are good, it could be from implantation, further burrowing or from ET. Are you still waiting until day 12 to test?

I feel like my symptoms are getting less, I know I am very very early (4wks5days) but my boobs are less tender and I'm not getting the fluttery feeling so often - I expect that this is completely normal but always a bit of a worry

OP posts:
Motherofkittens28 · 14/03/2021 20:22

@Mrbay I am still planning to wait until day 12, otherwise if its another bfn earlier I will still have to test again on day 12, might as well only go through it once. This assumes I make it to day 12 with AF making an appearance.

It's so hard when you want it so much you are just mega focused on everything, I doubt you would be worrying if you had only just started ttc. I'm sure the symptoms vary day to day.

elsiegoggings · 14/03/2021 20:31

@Mrbay when I was pregnant with my son my symptoms came and went and I'd totally freak out! I think it's when your body gets used to the hormone level but then the hormones continue and the symptoms come back again! 😊

elsiegoggings · 14/03/2021 20:37

@MrTumbleTumble oh I know all about the wind and bloating!! Only had it since ET but it's so annoying. I think it's the progesterone like you said. 😂

Mrbay · 15/03/2021 07:48

@motherofkittens28 - I know how horrible the limbo feeling is, i do hope you get a BFP.

@elsiegoggings - I think you are right as after I posted my last message, i walked down the stairs and my boobs were so sore!

OTD today so rude not to test, I got a dye stealer so I think it is time to stop POS!!
When/how do you register with a midwife?

FirstTimeIVFers · 15/03/2021 08:35

My TWW anxiety is kicking in big style now!
I’m 6dp5dt and I’ve not had any spotting - should I have had by now?
I had a few days of cramping but that’s stopped. The only thing that’s still going on is the worlds biggest and sorest boobs - I’m having to wear sports bras all the time. I’m still quite bloated but i I do suffer with bloating regardless of ivf/hormones so I aren’t counting that.
I’ve been abit more tired than usual this weekend but I think it’s probably down to the overwhelmingness of the whole process.
Or am I just being typically mental and worried and looking into everything in tiny details? 🤪Haha. This really is the longest 2 weeks ever!

thetallgirl · 15/03/2021 08:59

@FirstTimeIVFers I had my spotting at 7dp5dt but I think implantation bleeding is in the minority of pregnancies, so don't worry if you don't have any.

@Mrbay my clinic says that referral to NHS maternity services is after the first scan, so probably worth waiting until then and I'm sure the clinic will advise who to ring in your area.
