@Melissa1983 @thetallgirl fantastic news!!! There is so much good news on this group

@Rachae that's great news you were able to move on to stimms, did your period make an appearance in time?

@Mrbay we have done the deed a couple of times since finding out and all good! So go for it!

RichmondLady1981 · 11/03/2021 07:58

Congratulations @Melissa1983!!! X

ThePurpleFairy · 11/03/2021 08:18

@thetallgirl congrats on your BFP! What wonderful news! I can’t wait for the surprise of whether there’s 1 in there or 2!

@Mancbear88 @Mrbay @Melissa1983 thank you, I had already been drinking POM juice and Brazil nuts 😔 I will carry on with those anyway. Vitamin E I think is in pregnacare but I don’t have any to take a higher dose and by the time an order would come I’m not sure it would do much in the time left. I do have Rosehip oil that has vitamin E in it I think, I’ll slather some of that on the next few nights I guess!

@RichmondLady1981 thank you, I hope so! I’ve seen women in the same hospital group that I’m in have success with 5.5/6 but still I would have liked it to be at least 7 considering I’m usually 7 without any drugs and I’ve been taking 4 Progynova plus 2 x 100mg patches since Thursday! Also... anyone on patches... I salute you... ouch! Waxing is less painful 😂

ThePurpleFairy · 11/03/2021 08:19

Also @Melissa1983 congrats on your BFP! 🥳 it wouldn’t let me tag you twice

ThePurpleFairy · 11/03/2021 08:20

Oh also, I need to start my progesterone pessaries today and I’m real nervous. I should take my first one soon and I still haven’t decided front or back 😳 they’ve told me to use front but the box says back is a choice so I assume either is fine

Melissa1983 · 11/03/2021 08:25

@ThePurpleFairy my clinic said back only before transfer and then I could do it either way after transfer and I have no idea why. I was dreading the pessaries in the back so much so I actually tried to do 2 natural cycles before just so I could avoid it. They aren't bad so I wish I hadn't worried, I've stuck to the back as they've been fine and I've read loads of others find the front a bit messy but just find what works for you.

Melissa1983 · 11/03/2021 08:27

@Mrbay I've been finding that I'm really tired too and hungry too and I want to eat everything so I'm trying not to be too much of a pig and stick to some healthy choices. My clinic says 48 hours after transfer you can have sex and that surprised me.

ThePurpleFairy · 11/03/2021 08:39

@Melissa1983 thanks, I am thinking back because of the less mess (and the fact I’m sure it was someone on here that said you only had to put it in a little way and the muscles do the rest for you 😂). I’ve got to do 1 in the morning and 2 at night, I actually said to her ‘christ, will they all fit?!’

thetallgirl · 11/03/2021 09:46

Thanks everyone!

@ThePurpleFairy 1 in the morning and 2 at night is interesting - what dose are they? I'm on 2x400mg Cyclogest a day but after reading that some people on here take 3 I was concerned my dose might be low. I Challenged my clinic on it and they said not to worry.

After much reading, I have only done them up the back. I read it was less messy and also I didn't want to risk the pessaries causing bleeding and me worrying whether it was from them, AF or implantation. I've had no problems with using the pessaries themselves but the first 4 or 5 days they made me moody and lightheaded. In fact I almost fainted after a bike ride (before ET)! Seemed to settle down after 5 days of using them though.

Georgia2799 · 11/03/2021 09:47

@thetallgirl @Melissa1983 amazing news congratulations both , it’s so nice to read so many positive stories on here ♥️

Motherofkittens28 · 11/03/2021 09:53

Congratulations @Melissa1983 and @thetallgirl, such wonderful news!
Im starting to think I might be out, had a migraine last night and this morning, which is one of my usual premenstrual symptoms and I just kind of feel like my period might come. A tiny bit more spotting this morning, literally just a slightly orangey tinge when I wiped but im starting to worry :(

Mrbay · 11/03/2021 10:16

many congratulations @Melissa1983 - yay!!!!

@Kitttycatt @mellissa1983 - pleased to hear that!! Starting to get a bit of a nervous twitch - lol! I shall crack on and get back to it!

@ThePurpleFairy - I'm the back door for my arse pills! yep, if you get the sweet spot, your body will just suck them up for you. Trust me it is not painful or even uncomfortable. You will be fine. The front is so messy as the outter doesn't get absorb at all and comes out in a splat!

@Motherofkittens28 - everything crossed for a positive update, how many days past transfer are you?

dragonfly1978 · 11/03/2021 10:20

@thetallgirl @Melissa1983 congratulations!!!!! I can't believe this group has so many BFPs - it's amazing!

dragonfly1978 · 11/03/2021 10:22

@Motherofkittens28 it's so hard isn't it as any symptoms could be from the progesterone as well as pregnancy. I have no symptoms so have convinced myself I am out. I was determined to wait until the 19th but can feel myself starting to get tempted to test early

Hopeforsuccess · 11/03/2021 10:26

Congrats to all girls for the positive tests @Melissa1983 @thetallgirl @Mrbay! Sorry if i missed anyone! Quick question: is your clinic doing a blood test to confirm pregnancy after the urine test? And levels of beta HCG?

Motherofkittens28 · 11/03/2021 10:36

@Mrbay I'm 5dp5dt today, so its still very early. My boobs have noticeably stopped hurting, which is also a sign for me generally that AF is coming but I'm aware it could just mean the trigger is out of my system.

@dragonfly1978 I am also getting tempted to test but I know I will regret it. I was thinking of testing today to see if the trigger really is gone. Anyone who tested out their trigger how long did it take until you stopped testing positive?

thetallgirl · 11/03/2021 10:38

@Melissa1983 huge congrats to you too! We're on exactly the same timeline which is exciting!

@Hopeforsuccess my clinic don't do bloods to confirm. I have been told to call them on OTD wi home test result and then they book a scan for a few weeks later, which will be 6 weeks.

ThePurpleFairy · 11/03/2021 10:46

@thetallgirl I’m on Cyclogest 400 as well, she told me that it’s usually 2 but my consultant is really pro progesterone so he’s made it 3. No idea what impact it has but I’m just doing as I’m told!

@Mrbay I chickened out and put it in the front, but then it fell out so I ended up then giving in and putting it in the back 😂 it was fine so I think I’ll just stay with the back as it was a nightmare then trying to swap once it had started to melt... gross!

JessTTC · 11/03/2021 10:50

Thank you to everyone who told me to chill out! I needed that!
Spoke to my clinic this morning, they were lovely but did tell me off for early testing 😬 she said it all sounds positive and generally pink or brown blood is nothing to worry about and hopefully it’s my embabies continuing to burrow down deep and get comfy. She also said the increase in hormones that my body will now be producing on top of the synthetic hormones will be softening the ligaments and muscles in the lower back/pelvis area which might explain why I’ve got such an aching back.
There is nothing they will do until official test day on Monday but if bleeding continues they might be able to do a blood test next week more for my piece of mind than anything. She told me just to take it easy and try to relax for the next couple of days, I’ve taken the day off work, which for me is almost unheard of. It’s been an exhausting week and so busy and stressful and I just have to be selfish on this occasion. I spent half the night worrying I’d caused the bleeding by rushing about all week and being stressed. I thought it would take my mind of it and while the distraction definitely helped, i don’t want to look back and think I could of prevented something. Feeling super guilty now though 😩
@ThePurpleFairy My vote is for the back door! In 1/4 cycles I thought I’d try front and see if that helped but never again! Ruins your pants and feels grim.
Congratulations to all the BFPs, we seem to have a really high success rate!

Hopeforsuccess · 11/03/2021 11:14

@thetallgirl thank you! Mines too! Its not the usual practise as a serial blood test 72 h apart is the usual practise in the majority of countries apart from the uk it appears

MrTumbleTumble · 11/03/2021 11:40

Congratulations @Melissa1983 and @thetallgirl on your BFP's!

MrTumbleTumble · 11/03/2021 11:43

Is anyone thinking of joining the Nov babies antenatal thread? I'm wondering about it but not sure if I'm going to be rather more neurotic than some of the other women on there because it's an IVF pregnancy, I'm on loads of drugs still because of that so I've got no idea whats a preg symptom and what's drugs, etc.

Mrbay · 11/03/2021 12:02

@dragonfly1978 - I was thinking the same this morning - it's normal 1 in 3 are the lucky ones and then 90% after 3 complete cycles.

@Hopeforsuccess - thank you! Nope, no bloods at my clinic either. Just a scan at 6-7weeks. I think I'd love bloods but not sure where to get them done, could use medichecks I suppose.

@Motherofkittens28 - my boobs aren't as sore as they were so you aren't out, until you are out. I think it is around 10-days for the trigger to leave your system, I didn't test mine out this time, but last time I think it was around 4-days after transfer it was negative.

@ThePurpleFairy - you've joined the back door club - welcome!! tonight's will easier as it'll be a little firmer!!

@JessTTC - that is interesting regarding ligaments, I've managed to tweak my back and I did think it could be that be thought it would be way too early.
Don't feel guilty, most woman who are pregnant have no idea - plus the embryo is very well protected - that's what I am telling myself as my cat has used my tummy as a lunch pad a few times this week - doesn't let being told no!
Enjoy your day off and you just watch lots of rubbish on Netflix!

Thanks @Mrbay. I caved and tested, knew I shouldn't have as its bfn. I know its too early but I just feel like I'm out now. Had my little cry and trying to dust myself off. Would really have been a miracle to get pregnant on our first round with only one egg collected!

dragonfly1978 · 11/03/2021 12:29

@Motherofkittens28 in some ways that's good though as now you know the trigger has gone so when you test again you know a BFP would be accurate. Did you use an FRER??
