@willithappen
It looks like we are on very similar grounds in that I too am waiting for my next bleed to start after having all our eggs PGT-A tested. I understand I’ll be on oestrogen tablets too from day 1 of that cycle and then pessaries.
My ET will be slightly earlier though approximately 6th/7th April all being well my cycle returns to 31/33 days...

Glad to find someone on a similar timeline as me.. fingers crossed🤞

I really wanted the “scratch” but unfortunately not possible as I’d need to wait for another cycle to allow 6 wks before ET. I also wanted glue but again that’s a No due to them hatching.. grrhhh

How are you finding the process?

RichmondLady1981 · 09/03/2021 07:16

@willithappen sounds like a plan. It’s so frustrating when you know you have to wait for period to map everything else out.

I’m in a similar boat with PGS testing. Depending on the results, it determines out next steps. 1. Transfer (if we get a normal egg) or 2. Back to do another stim cycle (if no normal eggs). I don’t think I’m prepared to transfer even a low level mosaic embryo even though people say they can self correct. It’s doing my head in now and I just need to know either way. I chances are slim as I’m 39 and also we only had three blasts to freeze but let’s see.

Hope your period comes soon so you can crack on with your plan. X

RichmondLady1981 · 09/03/2021 07:18

@IVFat43 hi! Did you go and speak to the genetic councillor? What did they say about the ‘no result’ embryos? How are you feeling? This wait is killing me.

Mrbay · 09/03/2021 10:35

@Dbop100 - fingers crossed, I hope you get two good high quality ones :)

@Motherofkittens28 - that might have been me as I've got 2 x cyclogest and 1x lubion but that's because I have low progesterone.

OP posts:
thetallgirl · 09/03/2021 10:45

@Motherofkittens28 I'm also on 2x 400mg Cyclogest per day

IVFat43 · 09/03/2021 11:24

@RichmondLady1981 Omg I know exactly how you feel, it’s torture waiting for the results. All I can say is that the time it took prepared me in one way, a penny dropped after a week and I said to my husband “what if none come back”... it’s really disappointing as the rate is 25% so I at least expected 1 to be “normal”.. unfortunately though no credit on the costs for the 2 inconclusive 😔

However I spoke with our consultant yesterday and he reiterated what I already knew.. either I can retest, scrap or proceed. We’ve decided to proceed and have both transferred. They said if a pregnancy occurs, I’ll be able to have blood tests to detect the chromosomes at 10wks which will also advise the health whether “Down’s syndrome” which has reassured me slightly..

Think positive, you’re in a much better position than most. I’m not sure we can afford a 2nd go ☹️

Motherofkittens28 · 09/03/2021 11:39

Morning everyone, im feeling a bit low this morning :( I feel really tired and fell back to sleep after my OH left for work and didn't wake up until 10! Trying to stay positive and stay away from Google as I know that what with the trigger and the progesterone there is no way to know what might be a real symptom of anything. Any tips on how to keep the positivity up?

lucymills1234 · 09/03/2021 11:41

Hi all, I hope everyone is doing well. So much to catch up on here, I've been busy with work and fallen behind...

@IVFat43 your approach sounds really sensible, loads of luck with the double transfer.

My update - I had 5 blasts on day 5 including a couple of AAs, which I was really happy with. Because I had a lot of eggs collected (major surprise - I'm 41 and only have one ovary..!) it had to be a freeze all.

I've not had a post-EC bleed yet and wondered if anyone else has done a freeze-all and how long it was before that happened? Several times in the last few days I've had period-like cramps and was sure it was about to start, but nothing. So typical - cycles are usually like clockwork and I want to get on with the FET!!

MrTumbleTumble · 09/03/2021 12:04

@Motherofkittens28 I'm on 2x cyclogest and 2x lubion. I bled during the 2ww on a fresh cycle last year. They put the cyclogest up to 3x per day from 2 but still bled so the clinic have said it must be evidence of low progesterone so added the lubion. I was told that if you're having a FET they can do a blood test on the day of transfer to determine whether you need more (Lubion is really expensive - I think around £30 per day - and if you get pregnant you have to take it for 10 weeks or so) but on a fresh cycle there is no established good or bad progesterone level on day of ET so they have to go by previous cycles.

MrTumbleTumble · 09/03/2021 12:04

@RichmondLady1981 I really hope you get your results back soon and it's good news 🤞

thetallgirl · 09/03/2021 12:17

@Motherofkittens28 not much I can say that will likely help but I felt really low yesterday. Lots of crying, lots of feeling like this hasn't worked. I went for a walk yesterday afternoon which helped and then I've woken up today feeling much better. Already taken the dog once today before work and about to take him again on my lunch (he must wonder what's happening - he's a chihuahua so doesn't need much walking!). That definitely makes me feel better.

I also think that today I've accepted that there's just no way of knowing until I test whether this transfer has worked or not. I'm beating myself up about it because it was 2 C embryos but I keep reminding myself they can still work and I'm in with a good chance of a BFP. Im also trying to stay off google! Hope you start to feel a bit more positive soon

JessTTC · 09/03/2021 12:19

@Motherofkittens28 I take 400 cyclogest peasant morning and evening and a lubion injection at midday.

I’m trying not to get ahead of myself but I had a strong BFP this morning at 5dp5dt. My first ever! I can’t quite believe that this might actually be our turn after all these years! Trying to keep my feet on the ground and be cautiously optimistic like @Mrbay. Sending lots of positive thoughts and sticky vibes to those of you still waiting x

2mumlife · 09/03/2021 12:21

@MrTumbleTumble I'm 6dp5dt and its all over for us at this point. I'm just ao angry and frustrated that this is our 5th time with a period in the 2 week wait.

Best of luck to everyone else, I hope you get positive outcomes Flowers

MrTumbleTumble · 09/03/2021 12:29

@2mumlife I'm so sorry to hear that. Definitely talk to them about progesterone support for future cycles. It was cycle 6 for us that gave us our son, so it can still work after a lot of failures. Take care of yourself over the coming days and weeks, and maybe take advantage of some of the counselling at the clinic before you start thinking about "next time" Flowers

MrTumbleTumble · 09/03/2021 12:30

@JessTTC congratulations on your BFP!

Nix49816 · 09/03/2021 12:38

@JessTTC congratulations! Did anything make you think you should test early?

@2mumlife really sorry to hear this cycle hasn't worked for you. Take care of yourself, we all understand what you are going through.

Mrbay · 09/03/2021 13:33

@2mumlife - I am so sorry, I had the same with both of my previous fresh transfers, I know how shit it makes you.
Be kind to yourself and it will work for you.

@thetallgirl - just be careful that obsessive testing can start.

@jessttc - omg that is amazing news!! I've now got a new obsession of worrying if there has been enough progression between the lines 🙈🙈🙈

Dbop100 · 09/03/2021 14:11

@Mrbay just wondering where in your cycle you were taking the steroids? Would it be pre egg collection or post transfer? Just because I've picked up some today for my asthma and coincidentally they seem to be the same kind. My doctors says it's fine to take them whenever but just thought it might be interesting to try and take them at a time when they could also help fertility? Bit of a long shot!x

thetallgirl · 09/03/2021 14:17

@Mrbay I have promised myself no testing until Saturday. That's 10dp5dt. OTD is next Tuesday 13dp5dt. I've only taken maybe 3 or 4 pregnancy tests in my life, so don't want to get into the trap of regular testing now.

@JessTTC congrats! That's great news. what made you test so early?

@2mumlife so sorry. That's really tough. Please look after yourself and give yourself time.

Mrbay · 09/03/2021 14:53

@Motherofkittens28 - sorry I missed your post. I find food is the healer of all things!
Just need to be kind to yourself, you have done as much as you can to get to this point, it is for your body to take over now.

@Dbop100 - from the day before transfer and will continue until week 8 or 12 I think - that's how I see it, the risks are low but it can really help.

@thetallgirl - you are far more restrained than me.

I am struggling today with worrying if I will get to my first scan, I'm not sure which is worse the 2ww or the wait from BFP to scan/heartbeat.

OP posts:
Motherofkittens28 · 09/03/2021 15:18

Thanks @Mrbay, there is always another hurdle isn't there! I've got a 6 hurdle list, we've cleared three to get to ET, BFP is 4, 6 week scan is 5 and then 12 weeks is 6! Somehow I'm not really worried about after that point!

Mancbear88 · 09/03/2021 16:13

So I’ve been testing every day and getting BFNs tested this morning 8dp5dt and BFN. Felt dead tired this afternoon so tested again on a cheap test and saw the faintest of lines so tested on a FRER and it’s positive!!

Early days but exciting Grin!

RichmondLady1981 · 09/03/2021 16:33

@JessTTC and @Mancbear88 OMG!!! Huuuuuuuige congratulations to you both! Praying they are sticky for you 🙏🏼

Can you both pls refresh my memory - is this your first every cycle? Was it fresh? Age ? Sorry but it really helps.

So excited for you both!!

RichmondLady1981 · 09/03/2021 16:34

@2mumlife oh I’m so so sorry to hear this. I hope you won’t give up and you’ll try again like the others say. Please be kind to yourselves. 💐

thetallgirl · 09/03/2021 16:43

Yay! Congrats @Mancbear88 that's amazing news.

I have just had an update on my portal and my embryoscope report has been uploaded. There are 4 pictures of the 2 embryos through their development. It is so fascinating to see and it's made me feel happier about things. I'm Not sure what I was expecting, but since learning they were Cs I was disheartened but seeing the pictures has reiterated that they really do have a decent chance.
