Having a right panic here , has anyone come on 5 days after EC ? I don’t feel like I’ve come on no cramping stomach pains etc but such heavy bleeding

Mancbear88 · 06/03/2021 12:50

@dragonfly1978 sorry you’ve had a bad experience, but fingers crossed these two are sticky! I know a few people where the top quality ones haven’t stuck but the poor quality ones have.

I’m not feeling particularly positive today. I’ve got a headache, tired and my nose won’t stop running, vivid dreams and dizziness. Test was negative but not taking anything from that as it’s too early. I was feeling negative before taking it but just can’t seem to imagine seeing the two lines. It’s all a mental thing though, so just need to crack on.

My three for today:
Did a nice 5k walk this morning with a friend
There’s a rumour that my work (the most inflexible old school place) will be adapting some more flexible working policies in April
My local pub are doing take away gyros and gelato today

Rachae · 06/03/2021 12:58

@dragonfly1978 aww I'm so sorry to hear you've had a bad experience 😪 If it helps...i had an early blasto last time and so did a lot of research around it, as they wouldn't provide me with grading because it was an early blasto.
It basically means it's too early to grade but does have a great chance of implanting all the same. Lots of people have day 3 transfers where the embryo is graded lower and still go on to be pregnant. Also a few of my friends had an early blasto and poor quality embryos and had pregnancy success.
Wishing you all the luck for this one xxx

thetallgirl · 06/03/2021 12:59

Congrats @Motherofkittens28 that's great news!

Rachae · 06/03/2021 13:00
  • also that early blastocyst doesn't mean poor quality btw.. It means ungraded due to it being early. It could have been that in a few hours it would have developed into a graded embryo.. It's just that it stands best chance transferring them rather than leaving. Xx
JessTTC · 06/03/2021 13:10

@dragonfly1978 I’m so sorry they made something already so difficult, more difficult than it has to be! On the whole, the staff at our clinic are lovely and couldn’t do more to help but there have been a couple of staff who have lacked empathy. Could you perhaps send an email/call your clinic when you’ve had a chance to take a breath, maybe ask to speak to your consultant or the embryologist and go through your transfer and embryo quality? They owe you that after this morning! Our embryologist told us on Thursday that they often see lower quality embryos in the dish become healthy pregnancies because they just don’t like being in the lab environment and they come into their own once transferred, they really are in the best place to do their thing.

Hi all,

I've been a bit absent the last few days, trying to trick myself into forgetting I'm in the 2ww! Not succeeding particularly well - am 5dp5dt and counting down the days. OTD is next Sat 13th but think I'm going to test on Weds 10th onwards.

@Blessing12 I think we're the same day past trigger and you're putting me off testing early so thank you - I know it's frustrating for you to still be showing the trigger though! Fx that line goes white and then pink again soon.

@dragonfly1978 and @Motherofkittens28 congratulations on being PUPO! Sorry neither of you had particularly good mornings, I hope you're both able to relax for the rest of the day and keep positive for the next 2 weeks.

3 good things for me today:

  1. We went to a local garden shop and picked some seeds we wanted to plant to get ready to start off our veggie patch for the year.
  2. Fish finger sandwiches for lunch!
  3. Going out this afternoon for a lovely dog walk in a park we've not been to for a while, which has a kiosk selling yummy hot chocolate.
Mrbay · 06/03/2021 14:07

@dragonfly1978 - I am so sorry, how unprofessional of your clinic - personally I would be complaining.
At least your two are now in the best place and congratulations on being PUPO!!

@Motherofkittens28 - fantastic news and what a great grading - congrats on PUPO!!!

@georgia2799 - I had spotting after EC, however you should be on progesterone which will stop the bleeding. Have you been taking meds since your EC? Might be worth calling out of hours just in case.

@mancbear88 - remind me, how many days past transfer are you?
Very jealous of your 3 things.

@MrTumbleTumble - I can't think which part of IVF is the worst, poss the 2ww as it's all left to us!

I've caved, brought 2 FR today, I think I may test tomorrow which is 6dpt but might hold out until Monday - not sure.

Regarding earlier comments of thirst, yep I cannot drink enough! Oddly, I'm not that bothered about sweet stuff at the moment - weird as I love sweets! Managed to walk past the junk food isle in B&M today and not even look!!

@Blessing12 thank you lovely. Just back. It was freezing! The coffee warmed us up though. There’s an anti Covid protest going on on Richmond green which ruined the atmosphere a little. 🙄 How are you?

@Motherofkittens28 all the best for today! Keep us posted! 💕

@Mrbay! Thank you. Hang in there and take it easy. I can imagine it’s all you can think about right now. All consuming!

@thetallgirl enjoy your dog walk! What kind of dog do you have? I’d love to have a dog but my husband keeps pushing back. 😭

@JessTTC good luck for Monday! I’m also back in school! It’s going to be a crazy day. This kids will be super excited.

@dragonfly1978 I’m so sorry to hear that you were so ill informed. I know it must be so upsetting but try and be positive about the two that have just been returned. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason with quality. so many people transferring AAs that don’t work and CCs that do! Keep your chin up girl and look after yourself over the next couple of weeks. Well done for getting through today and when you’re feeling strong enough, you can get in touch with the clinic and hopefully get more clarity. 💐

Georgia2799 · 06/03/2021 14:35

@Mrbay they gave me nothing after I left the hospital don’t know if it’s because we are having a freeze all , good point I’m going to give them a call hopefully it’s nothing to serious

dragonfly1978 · 06/03/2021 15:54

Thank you all so so much for your messages of support, they really mean a lot ❤️

Feeling a bit better after a McDonald's and a nap plus lots of crying. I am going to speak to the clinic on Monday as it really wasn't acceptable to treat me that way and cause me such distress.

I think it's going to be an easier TWW than last time as I already know it hasn't worked so won't be wondering at all and won't have hope.

Thank you all again so much x

Georgia2799 · 06/03/2021 17:14

@dragonfly1978 I feel so sorry for you with how today went and the lack of information off your clinic, I can’t imagine how frustrated you just feel with how they have treated you, maybe give them a call Monday and ask for an explanation on it all . Positive thoughts to you and you never know things could really turn round in two weeks ♥️
Could kill for a McDonald’s right now !!

2mumlife · 06/03/2021 18:39

@dragonfly1978 What an insensitive way to let you know what was happening, and I'm shocked they didn't discuss with you the number to transfer! Don't give up hope yet

@Motherofkittens28 SO pleased the transfer went ahead and it's looking good! Really does only take one. Happy 2WW!

Mrbay · 06/03/2021 18:53

@richmondlady1981 - it's such an obsession!!

@georgia2799 - ah you'll on a freeze all, that'll be why. Will you get an update tomorrow regarding what you'll be able to freeze.

@dragonfly1978 - I hope you are feeling a bit better now.
I know how it feels to feel hopeless, but you are still PUPO ❤

Melissa1983 · 06/03/2021 19:12

@dragonfly1978 I'm so sorry for your distressing morning but congratulations on being PUPO ❤️

Today is my first day of going stir crazy! Is anyone else feeling the same?

I've been Googling of no symptoms is a bad sign. I also seem to have no discharge since transfer and surely that's a bit weird too. I can't find anything in google about that....send help 🙈

Georgia2799 · 06/03/2021 19:16

@Mrbay yeah they said they will give me a call to update me, the butterfly’s have already began !! Silly question but say for example we have a few but only 1 is looking good quality will they still freeze all regardless of there grade ?

FirstTimeIVFers · 06/03/2021 20:37

Thanks for letting me know @Mrbay that we’d moved over.

I’ve just seen “PUPO” and learnt what it meant and I love it!
I had my egg retrieval yday and those sedation drugs are the best thing ever aren’t they? Haha. Does anyone know if/when the bloating goes down? I’ve looked more pregnant this week than my friend who is 19 weeks.
Hope everything is going to plan for everyone else xx

Mrbay · 06/03/2021 21:12

@melissa1983 - symptoms or no symptoms doesn't mean you'll have a positive or negative outcome - our bodies are on synthetic hormones so it's no wonder that will get a little bit crazy!

@georgia2799 - each clinic is different, mine also freezes ones that will survive the thaw. Everything crossed for a positive update tomorrow ❤

@firsttimeivfers - no worries, just noticed and I didn't want to left hanging!
I'm 11 days past EC and I'm pretty much back to normal, save for an inch or 2. Fingers crossed for a positive day 5 update and transfer!

Hey everyone, crazy morning here, 4dp5dt and I was up at 6am with light, pink bleeding. Its way too early for me for this to be my period if this were a normal cycle. I'm really trying to keep my hope this is implantation bleeding in check as I've since seen online that cyclogest can cause bleeding as well, but it seems to be more if you're doing the suppositories vaginally, which I'm not. So really hoping this is our little embryo letting us know it's settling in. Has anyone else experienced an implantation bleed before and went on to get a BFP? What was the bleed like for you?

HopingForRainbow2021 · 07/03/2021 07:37

Morning. Tested this morning - 9dp5dt. BFN. I feel so broken. I don’t know how I’m going to get through this. Good luck to all of you still on this journey x

Mrbay · 07/03/2021 08:21

Morning!

@2mumlife - bleeding is very common so try not to worry, it is too early to be break through bleeding/period as normally that would be around day 7 onward. Sounds like your embryo is getting all snuggly 🤞

@HopingForRainbow2021 - I am so sorry, is today your OTD? Mine make you wait until 14 days past transfer.

OP posts:
dragonfly1978 · 07/03/2021 08:24

@HopingForRainbow2021 am so sorry you got a bfn, is today your OTD? My clinic make you wait until 14 days and you do hear of people getting negatives at 9dp5dt and then positives 🤞

JessTTC · 07/03/2021 08:49

@HopingForRainbow202 I’m so sorry for your negative this morning. I know there’s very little anyone can say today that will help but as said above, 9dp is still early to test x

Melissa1983 · 07/03/2021 09:14

@HopingForRainbow2021 I'm so sorry for the negative test, could 9dp5dt still be too early?

@Mrbay The logical part of me knows all that but I'm driving myself crazy for some reason and I thought I'd be really chilled and patient during the TWW. Luckily I have a long walk to keep me distracted today and I've promised myself no time googling!

OTD 1 week today and can't come soon enough

MrTumbleTumble · 07/03/2021 09:42

@HopingForRainbow2021 so sorry to hear about your BFN Flowers
