Thought I'd better start us a new thread as we are so close 999 messages!

@Mrbay ahhhh hun dont rule it out just yet, its still early days. How many dpt are you? I thought you was a day or 2 infront of me.

Hi all

We were told a few weeks ago our best chance of conceiving would be IVF. We waited for ages with the NHS to test my husband but with COVID we decided to go private.

We are looking to start the process on Monday by confirming with the clinic we want to go ahead and I wondered if anyone had any advice?

Evening all, so terrified about tomorrow. Its so awful not knowing if we are doing ET or not and will only find out in the morning. Wishing so hard that our one embryo has stayed strong and made it to blastocyst. I feel sick at the thought of getting bad news tomorrow.

Morning all!

I've been wide awake since 5am!! Took my moody arse to bed at 9.30 last night so that'll teach me!!

I've woken up a bit more positive as my pain went from feeling like the start of my period to really hot thighs - very odd! Going to put it down to walking over 8 miles yesterday! Thanks for the well wishes @blessing12 and @mancbear88.
I'm 6dp5dt so still nearly half way there (living on a pray - now stuck in my head!)

Good Morning All

4dp5dt for me today no symptoms at all yesterday which worried me. I'd rather feel something than nothing to make me feel like something is happening. I have the worst headache today it woke me up at 6:15am

3 things for today

1. House is tidy which means I can relax and pretty much do nothing today.

2.OH is cooking me a nice meal tonight

@Mancbear88 oh I wish wine and hot baths were allowed too, I was watching tv yesterday and someone had a large glass of white in a big glass and I was so jealous 🤣

@Mrbay so glad you're feeling better today and the period type symptoms are gone. Wow 8 miles, you are putting me to shame. I've been walking 3 miles a day and wondered if I'm overdoing it.

Getting very exciting for you all now! Wishing you all the best for seeing those two Magic lines. Ps, I had light period cramping feelings when I was pregnant with my son- so it’s definitely not a bad sign.

I keep waking up worrying about the results of my frozen blast pgt results.

My period started last night. Have read that it’s supposed to be a really heavy painful one after IVF but as yet, it’s fine. Hope it stays that way!

Gratitude for today!

1. Husband cooking Italian for dinner tonight
2. Cycle ride around Richmond park (past my favourite bakery... scone and Jam!) 😁
3. Now my period is here I can start running again! Can’t wait to get my mileage up and lose a few extra pounds.

@Mrbay well our appointment is 11:40 and I told them it takes us nearly an hour to get there so they said they would let us know in time if we don't have to make the trip. I'm shaking, really wish they could let you know the day before!

@Mrbay Morning, thats great news your 1day infront of me its still so early, and I know your frustration, i woke up and did a test and the lines have gone fainter but still bloody there from the trigger 12dp trigger shot 5dp5dpt... so annoying.

@dragonfly1978 Good luck with transfer.

@swirls3468 Just try to embrace that your body is going to do what it likes during this process. Toughest part was definitely between EC and ET waiting to see what happened.

@Mrbay Glad you're feeling better today. Remember your body been put through a lot of hormones, it's ok it's feeling wonky, keep the faith!

I'm 3dp5dt and had a funny sensation in my lower right side fair bit of the night (not really cramp, not really pain, just a sort of mild discomfort) mixed with crazy dreams about implantation, and woke up sweating at one point. Not sure what to make of it. I over analysed every sensation during our previous IUIs and it was never anything so trying not to focus on it too much.

Positive things for this morning:

1. The sun is shining, despite forecast saying it would be overcast.

1. Made fresh homemade pizza dough this morning for pizza tonight

1. First of my sweet pepper seedings emerged from germination this morning, and buying some more supplies to get some more seeds underway (love a veg garden)

@melissa1983 - it's so hard, I don't know which is better.
I've really got a passion for walking over the last year, it wasn't 8miles in one go but over 2 walks and a trip to the yard

@2mumlife I'm also 3dp5dt and had very similar feelings last night. Discomfort on right side, keep waking up hot (last 2 nights) and had a vivid IVF related dream last night. I think it must be the progesterone. I'm also constantly thirsty. Anyone else? No matter how much I'm drinking I can't seem to satisfy my thirst.

My three for today:

• had a nice lie in this morning and feeling very relaxed
• going for a dog walk this morning as it's dry (as soon as I get into gear and shower!)
• still time for a third, it's early!

@thetallgirl that's funny you had the same thing! I'm not really thirsty, other than figuring out what to drink now I'm reducing herbal tea intake and can't drink half the teas I have any more

@thetallgirl yes to constant thirst! I’ve been struggling to up my water game and even setting reminders in my phone to drink during this transfer - now I can’t get enough of the stuff!
I’m 2dp5dt today - wish I could say I felt something but nada! I had period type pangs yesterday and woke up in the night with cold sweats type thing but today I feel fine.

My 3 for today:
-the sun is shining so a lovely spring walk on the cards this afternoon
-had a lazy self care morning with a lie in, hair mask, body butter etc. Put some mascara on and blow dried my hair and feel like a new woman! More than I’ve done in weeks!

• have pretty much completed my planning ready for kids return on Monday so I can enjoy my weekend/google symptoms like mad!

No phone call so I assume we must be ok. Just getting an extra drink before we get there as I'm worried my bladder isn't full enough! Its a lovely sunny day down in Southampton so that's making me more relaxed now 😎

Apologies for the TMI, but I’ve noticed something new today... my nipples / aereola area are all bumpy. I’m sure they don’t usually look like this. I’m so terrified of hope - if that makes any sense. x

Well two of my six made it to day 5 and have both been transferred so nothing to freeze again 😥. To be honest it was a terrible experience and I haven't stopped sobbing since I came out. No one came and discussed with me before the transfer how many had made it or how many to transfer etc, they came and got me to go into theatre and I said but I have no idea if any have even made it to be transferred! They then told me what would be happening and they had prepared both for transfer with no explanation about the quality of them, I was just handed a picture. I asked about the others and all they would say was that they hadn't made it. I asked if these were good quality and she would only say they were early blastocysts and wouldn't answer any more questions. This is our final attempt and now it seems like they are rubbish quality and there was no point. Am so angry with how I was treated and upset that our journey is over 😥

Oh @dragonfly1978 that's so tough. Your experience sounds worse than mine in that I was at least told just before going into theatre that only 2 had made it and was given the option of transferring 1 or 2 - it sounds like that decision was made for you. I really struggled with having none for freezer too and also cried a lot on transfer day.
I'm more positive now after reading lots of success stories with lower grade blasts and having had 2 replaced surely means we have more chance right? I know today will be hard but hopefully in a few days you'll be able to appreciate how great it is that your 2 embryos made it to transfer. Be sure to look after yourself today.

Oh @dragonfly1978 I am so sorry to hear that, its not a nice experience when its something so important. But two on board is two chances and that has to be a good thing!
We always knew there was only one as there was only one egg collected, beyond happy that its been transfered. We did get a grading but it seemed slightly different to what I have seem from others. Its grade A and on two different scales they use 9.1 and 8.3 out of 10. We are over the moon right now.
