@Blessing12 morning - I was supposed to waiting till Sunday but I didn’t - BFN so far but not down about it as it’s too early either way.

Symptoms wise again not loads. I’m keeping as list as I wish I could compare to last time.

Day 1 - bloated with some stomach pain, back pain, headache
Day 2 - very bloated, less stomach pain but heavy feeling, slight nausea, slight back ache, constipated
Day 3 - dizziness, bit of pain in left side, lots of CM, slight headaches, cold, calf cramping, tight stomach (like when breathing in), starving
Day 4 - erotic dream (tmi), slight headache, strange taste

@JessTTC I wouldn’t take anything from that they do a lot of prodding around that can cause spotting.

Blessing12 · 05/03/2021 10:03

@JessTTC ur absolutely fine, and that actually could be implantation, as implantation can start straight away depending on if the embryo was hatched or hatching when transferred, aswell as could be just abit of left over from previous bleed and its been prodded and its now come out.

@2mumlife im 11dp trigger and iv still got a line on my test which is annoying, so its till in my system and yes I did x2 250iu ovidrel trigger.
So if you did ET on Wednesday, Thursday will be Day1. Doesnt it feel like a life time of waiting lol.

@Mancbear88 yes we are only 4dp5dt so still early we have plenty of time, if i could test every hr of the day I would lol, my husband is intrigued now as I explained the trigger hormone so he said maybe you should test every morning so we can see it leave your system, i said good idea lol so I have him now on board.

elsiegoggings · 05/03/2021 10:19

@JessTTC brown blood is old blood so I wouldn't worry unless it's bright. That being said, my sister in law had a lot of red blood after her transfer, was sent to the early miscarriage unit and when they scanned there were two heartbeats and she's now 27 weeks!

JessTTC · 05/03/2021 10:30

Thanks ladies, I feel much calmer, I needed your voices of reason! My logical brain knows it’s from being poked about yesterday, but my craziness was taking over and we're only 1dp5dt!
Good luck to everyone having transfers, collections or waiting for updates today xx

Blessing12 · 05/03/2021 10:36

Congratulations @JessTTC PUPO, did they grade your embryo? How are you feeling? Do you have any symptoms?

dragonfly1978 · 05/03/2021 10:53

@Blessing12 my last cycle in November I had a double trigger and was still showing positive at 12 days post 5dt, only went negative on the OTD 😥😥. I am having ET tomorrow hopefully and am going to try and absolutely not test before OTD after the rollercoaster of last time!

JessTTC · 05/03/2021 10:54

@Blessing12 amazingly, our last two ‘lowest quality’ embryos in the freezer defrosted beautifully yesterday morning and began developing and hatching within a couple of hours again. They’ve been in the freezer for nearly two years now - science is amazing isn’t it?!! So we ended up having a 5A/B and a 5B/C, both hatching. We had embryo glue yesterday too which has inconclusive research but we went for it anyway.
Symptom wise, a bit of lower back ache, feels a bit like I’m building up for a period with boobs a little sensitive today too but I’ve been on cyclogest and lubion for 8 days now so I imagine that’s properly taking hold of me now! I don’t even know if I’d notice the twinges normally or not - the TWW makes you hyper aware of absolutely everything doesn’t it! How have you been feeling?

Georgia2799 · 05/03/2021 11:37

@JessTTC hiya hope you don’t mind me asking , does your clinic always use embryo glue as a standard in treatment ? or did you have to ask & pay extra ?

Blessing12 · 05/03/2021 11:38

@dragonfly1978 oh really, I think im going to be the same as I still have a faint line and im 11dp trigger, so frustrating.
Good luck tomorrow with your ET x

@JessTTC thats fantastic and still good quality, it is amazing how it works isn't it, it still amazes me every day.
I hope you get your BFP this time, iv read so many success stories with lower graded embies.

Blessing12 · 05/03/2021 11:40

@JessTTC I also had embryo glue as it was included in the package, they must think it helps otherwise would they use it?

JessTTC · 05/03/2021 13:12

@Blessing12 @Georgia2799
Our clinic only has two extras; they offer scratches and glue as ‘add ons’. I think the EmbryoGen glue was an additional £300. Lots of places offer it and I think the HFEA grades it as an amber add on. My clinic was very realistic with us about the add ons and have said that lots of clinics use them routinely but there just isn’t enough data to say one way or an other and it was our choice. We went for it but who knows if it really makes a difference or not?!

Mrbay · 05/03/2021 13:23

@jessttc sounds like a a bit of blood from the transfer.

@blessing12 - I hope it's not the trigger 🤞

@Mancbear88 - like you said still plenty of time as the embryo would have only just implanted.

I'm getting twitchy fingers over ordering some FR tests but haven't pressed buy just yet.
I keep checking my cervix too, I am turning into a mad woman!

Top 3 things for today
Long walk with the pup and neighbour today- watching my pup play with her boyfriend is just lovely
Lush decafe latte from the local community cafe - delish
Still time for the 3rd!

Georgia2799 · 05/03/2021 13:29

@JessTTC Thank-you for the information, I’m definitely going to mention it when it’s time for my FET 😊2 months and counting🤞🏼 ...

2mumlife · 05/03/2021 13:50

@Blessing12 @Georgia2799 @JessTTC Our clinic uses embryoglue, and embyroscope as standard, but they don't offer scratches at all. You can also get asissted hatching, but again our clinic doesn't do. I think every clinic is different and just make own judgement on the pros/cons.

@Blessing12 Ah I wish ET day counted, just to feel further along! I'm actually looking forward to being back at work (well, working from home) just to have a bit of distraction.

I know the conversation came up before about how long people are on cyclogest for. Realised I'm only scheduled to be on is until the morning of the 13th (so 10dp5dt) which would have been by test date but for it being the weekend (my clinic does blood test for hgc, rather than urine testing) and ended up in a search of research papers looking at evidence of outcomes with earlier / later stopping of progesterone support. To anyone else who is needing the reassurance its all ok, I checked out a couple of things including this meta analysis: www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1472648319307850

Key message:

"... there was no difference in ongoing pregnancy, live birth and miscarriage rates between groups in which progesterone supplementation was stopped early as compared with prolonged progesterone supplementation"

So, not matter when you're stopping, I hope you take reassurance!

Mancbear88 · 05/03/2021 14:07

@Mrbay I’ve tried the cervix thing but I’ve no idea how to do it as I can’t reach it! Hoping that’s a good thing.

I just need to accept that all symptoms could be drugs or pregnancy and stop analysing them all like a mad woman Grin

I wish wine and hot baths were allowed during the TWW.

Mrbay · 05/03/2021 15:40

Thank you @2mumlife 😊

@Mancbear88 - apparently it should be high up, closed and soft - no not being able to reach it should be a good sign 🤞
I think we may have to just wait it out!!
Me too, I'd love a g&t!

2mumlife · 05/03/2021 16:01

@Mrbay totally welcome. Its probably another sign I need to go back to work that I'm reading research papers on my leave. As long as I can keep reassuring myself its ok to be stopping the progesterone, I'll otherwise be delighted to get my bowels back to normal Grin

Kitttycatt · 05/03/2021 16:36

@2mumlife thanks for the research. My acupuncturist said something similar yesterday. My last pessary was on Tuesday, and I've still got sore boobs so my own hormones must have taken over x

swirls3468 · 05/03/2021 17:16

Thanks for the advice ! So I had my info session today and she said only 7-10 days of injections and they will scan me and maybe do bloods as well every 2 days and decide when to do the trigger shot. I can start on next period which is in 2 weeks. It’s getting real now!! So exciting and nerve wracking. Which did everyone find to be the worst part of it all?

Mancbear88 · 05/03/2021 19:08

@swirls3468 for me the emotional side is the worst. Physically I was very ill with the IVF, a lot of people aren’t, but the FETs are fine.

The waiting and the unknown are hard. If you knew you’d get a positive at the end it would be so much easier, but the majority do in the end so it’s worth that.

I’ve found that this forum has been brilliant to help emotionally as you get so much support and people that understand what’s going on.

Good luck, it’s very exciting!!

HopingForRainbow2021 · 05/03/2021 19:17

Evening everyone :) just checking in. 7dp5dt today. Sore boobs and cramping have gone completely, replaced by headaches. Still pretty bloated too :/

@Mrbay I’d thought about testing tomorrow, and ordered 2 FRER, but they arrived earlier and I’ve only gone and ordered the wrong tests! 🙈 that saves me from myself another day I guess.
the info re cervix is interesting - I haven’t tried that before. Hope everyone in 2ww is staying sane, and lots of luck to all starting out, or awaiting EC and ET :) x

Mancbear88 · 05/03/2021 19:35

I may have ordered 50 cheap tests from Amazon I think I have an issue 🙈

Mrbay · 05/03/2021 20:23

I think I'm gonna hold off spending money on tests, I'm pretty sure that my period is on it's way, I'm getting my tells.
I'm on so much progesterone, so it shouldn't be but I'm feeling short tempered, the tops of thighs are hurting and I'm getting cramps.

God I hate bloody IVF!!!!

Georgia2799 · 05/03/2021 20:28

@swirls3468 sounds like your on a similar protocol as me, I have pcos so they told me I’ll be injecting for no longer than a week.. I had one scan on the Friday, then did the trigger shot Saturday evening .. EC Monday morning , worst part for me was the day before EC my stomach was really sore and I just felt over all knackered (sweets treats seemed to help a lot ) but before that I carried on as normal and felt fine

RazzleDazz1e · 05/03/2021 21:00

Top news @Mrbay, and thanks so much for all the replies ladies. Feeling less stressed about this extra kilo now, but eating healthily in the meantime! Will report back after my AMH test- they have said that the results will be obtained within 48 hours.

Sending lots of magic baby dust to everyone!
