So much has been happening, sorry for lots of people I'm missing out.

@Motherofkittens28 that's fantastic news your egg is on its way! I'm rooting for you!

@RichmondLady1981 I didn't realise the PGT testing would take so long. Do you need to do a whole new FET cycle, or can they still transfer straight away once you know?

@blessing12 hopefully you'll be getting another line soon!

I'm actually really enjoying / relaxing now I'm in this first bit of the 2WW, actually finding it much easier than the rollercoaster of embryology updates, and a relief to know right now there's nothing anyone can do to know what's happening. It actually feels like a welcome break from worrying.

I've only got 1 stick in stock at the moment, so I'm just going to try not to buy any more, as knowing I just have one will keep me going longer until I test.

Melissa1983 · 04/03/2021 18:11

@Mrbay I may test Saturday too but we'll see as partner really wants to wait until OTD. The lovely knitting was @Pansy222 but I'd love to give it a try. Yes to the eating, I just want everything and feel like such a 🐷

@JessTTC congratulations on being PUPO, I also feel on cloud nine hoping it lasts.

@elsiegoggings yes I had a Covid test and then had to self isolate until the transfer. Luckily it was only 3 days so that was ok. Good luck for your transfer

I'm feeling period like pains this afternoon so not sure what to think about that. I know a lot of people say it could be the meds but I was taking the Progynova and cyclogest for a week before transfer and didn't have period style cramps

Mrbay · 04/03/2021 18:17

@rachea - always best to step away from the scales during a cycle!!
Thankfully my hunger seems to have settled.
@jessttc - hatching are the dream!! Congratulations on being PUPO!!!

@2mumlife - that's my plan but the urge to piss on a stick is just there!!

@melissa1983 - it's just so hard to know which day will be the most accurate.
Ref cramps, they are very common, I've had them on and off since I started the progesterone.

I'm getting wipe anxiety now as I know my natural period is due in the next few days, totally illogical as I'm on so much progesterone but I'm still not able to push the thought from my mind. I'm still pretty positive that this will be our time

@Melissa1983 when I did my treatment for my son I was 100% sure that my period was coming. I was crying my eyes out thinking it'd failed. But it was implantation. 😊

JessTTC · 04/03/2021 18:39

Thanks for PUPO well wishes ladies 😌

@elsiegoggings we’ve had Covid tests before both pandemic transfers, i think it’s standard for all hospital procedures now. One more day and you can be free! I don’t have any children but I am a primary teacher and I know how hard and confusing isolation has been for everyone but particularly for our little people.
I’ve never seen two lines on a test, I can’t imagine actually being pregnant but one healthy baby would be everything! Two would be a bonus And I would never have to worry about doing IVF again for a sibling.
Hope your meeting goes well tomorrow x

2mumlife · 04/03/2021 18:41

@Mrbay I always got the wipe anxiety towards the end of our IUI attempts. Hang on in there.

@Melissa1983 I've had more bowel type cramps but I'm using the progesterone back-door only, and it's been chasing some real disturbances Blush could it be that you're feeling?

RichmondLady1981 · 04/03/2021 18:43

@JessTTC congratulations sounds super exciting and promising.

@elsiegoggings yes we had to have Covid tests for EC. But I have a 21 month old at nursery so it was a bit of a worry for us. All was ok in the end. Good luck with the transfer.

2mumlife · 04/03/2021 18:45

@elsiegoggings we've not had to covid test, but we're at a private clinic. We were advised to self isolate during the cycle if we could though. Weirdly one of the staff told me after we'd just had our EC that the clinic had a bit of a covid outbreak among the more administative staff Shock terrible timing to mention it

elsiegoggings · 04/03/2021 18:46

@JessTTC thank you! Actually we still have to isolate until the transfer which is estimated for 11th. Daddy is taking him to play football on Sat and I get time off tomorrow at the appointment!
Two would be awesome - hard at first but instant buddies for each other. Good luck with it and I hope you get a positive soon Smile my sister in law is pregnant with twins from Ivf.

elsiegoggings · 04/03/2021 18:49

@RichmondLady1981 ahhh we were told that we couldn't send our son to pre-school (sobs...) although originally they said we could. He's been sent home before with 'symptoms' (was just a bit hot! 🙄) and we had to isolate until he had a test so I suppose I don't want to risk it! Tempted to send him in the day after transfer though! Smile

elsiegoggings · 04/03/2021 18:50

@2mumlife oh my goodness!! Not a great time at all!!

Seaswimmingdeservesasunnyday · 04/03/2021 20:07

Is it normal for clinics not to grade?
My day 3 feedback was that one is 3 cells, one is 4, one is 7, one is 8 and one is 10
I asked about grade and he just went quiet for a second and changed the subject. What does that mean?
He seemed confident there'd be one for the ET and at least one to freeze
So scared

Seaswimmingdeservesasunnyday · 04/03/2021 20:08

Good luck to everyone else in a position of limbo and waiting

Seaswimmingdeservesasunnyday · 04/03/2021 20:10

They also told me 4 fertilized but 5 did
So confused
Unless I have misheard one of the conversations!

Motherofkittens28 · 04/03/2021 21:16

@Seaswimmingdeservesasunnyday I dont think they grade at day 3. I got my updatd today and was just told 8 cells and really good or excellent quality (I cant remember precisely what they said). I think they grade at day 5.

Mrbay · 04/03/2021 21:24

@2mumlife - it's such an obsession, isn't it?

@Seaswimmingdeservesasunnyday - each clinic has a different grading system but they dont use them until day 5 - but it's good news that they are confident that you'll have at least 2 🤞

OP posts:
JessTTC · 04/03/2021 21:29

@Seaswimmingdeservesasunnyday
My clinic don't grade them until day 5 when they freeze/transfer. They all develop at different rates so I suppose they prefer to give them time to catch up with each other. Like @Mrbay says, all clinics have their own grading systems and ways of doing things but it sounds like you have lots to be positive about, try not to panic - Easier said than done I know!

swirls3468 · 04/03/2021 21:39

@Mrbay Thank you for the reply. Well I’m
Hoping to start on my next period which is due about 20th March. Can’t imagine I’d do days of injections as I have PCOS and over responded to just letrozole. I’m just so worried about it all. Anxiety is through the roof. How do you guys cope? I can’t stop thinking about it, it’s taking over my life even though I’m trying just to enjoy my time- it creeps back into my mind.

Seaswimmingdeservesasunnyday · 04/03/2021 22:05

Oh Blush I feel stupid!
Thank you for correcting me!

Georgia2799 · 05/03/2021 08:16

@Seaswimmingdeservesasunnyday Honestly not stupid at all Hun , I thought the exact same as you I was really worried why no one is contacting me with the information , the hospital I’m at only informs how many eggs fertilised, then and update on day 5

Blessing12 · 05/03/2021 08:22

Morning everyone,

How is everyone feeling ?

I'm 4dpt5dt, apart from still feeling nauseous still from the cyclogest, not feeling much really.

Iv been testing out my trigger and I thought the line was going bit still there 🤦‍♀️ faint but there...
Iv been testing every morning waiting for the trigger hormone to disappear, but no...
I'm really glad iv been testing this out because if I had tested early it would have been a false positive.

Has anyone tested yet or thinking about testing early?
Or tested/testing out trigger also?

Good luck for those waiting on embryo updates EC & ET.

JessTTC · 05/03/2021 09:06

Too much information alert!!!
Having a mild panic because I haven’t had this before...late last night and just now this morning I’ve had some bloody/brown discharge when I wipe 😬 yuck...sorry!
It can’t be implantation bleeding this early as it’s not even been 24 hours since transfer. I think it must be from being poked and prodded yesterday, but this hasn’t happened to me in any other transfers - someone tell me it’s normal! I feel a bit periody today and now panicking it’s aunt flow showing up to the party 😩

JessTTC · 05/03/2021 09:08

@Blessing12
I had a FET so no trigger waiting to leave the system but I’ll be right there with you early testing....as much as I don’t want to! Can’t help myself! I haven’t ordered any tests yet which I am so proud of myself for 😂🙌 but I do have to collect a prescription later and already thought how this would be a perfect opportunity to sneakily buy some tests without DH knowing!

2mumlife · 05/03/2021 09:37

@JessTTC I wouldn't worry about having a bit of bloody residue after transfer.I didn't have any after ET but I normally do have this after smears, IUI's etc and its perfectly normal (particularly if you have a tempremental cervix like me). If you're concerned though, or its getting heavier, or looks more like fresh bleeding, just contact your NHS/clinic for some reassurance.

@Blessing12 Really interesting to hear how long its taking the trigger to leave your system, you did a double though right? Also, stupid question, but if I did ET Wendesday, does today maybe be 2dp5dt or 3? I'm trying to figure out if Wednesday counts as 1dp or if thats the Thursday if that makes sense!

@Seaswimmingdeservesasunnyday My clinic does day 3 grading, but its just a score out of 4 (with 4 being the best) for how regular the cell sizes are and how much fragmentation has occured. My 3 day grading though didn't seem to have any relationship to my 5 day grading, as I had a 3/4 and 2/4 on day 3, and both were AA grades on day 5.

@swirls3468 you might find your protocol is different with PCOS, you'll hear a lot of different protocols being talked about. I would try not to worry - the injections honestly are not bad at all (I've found the cyclogest worse). I've found the worst bit was between egg collection and embry tranfer, as my hormones were a riot by that point, and I was on tender hooks the whole time waiting to see if we had anything to transfer.
