Is anyone starting ivf in March/April?
Have had confirmation today I will be starting treatment in March. Been prescribed norethisterone, which I have to take CD21 of my next period (due next week).

Morning all and lots of luck to those having EC and ET in the next few days! It was our OTD this morning and the regular loo trips are still a feature of our nights for now so was all ready bright and early! Seems my 'theory' was proven and their is an explanation to all the trips, twinges etc - it's a BFP - and a very quick one too- we literally watched it develop! Very pleased with this but also anxious for next steps and it doesn't really feel real as have been in this stage before.... Hoping we can make it through the next wait and to the scan this time - maybe that will make it feel more like it's actually happening! Def felt different this 2ww to the December one so felt like something was happening - so glad it wasn't just a ton of progesterone causing it all!

Just had my day 6 of stims scan... They counted 40 follicles I am very sore. Theyve asked me to lower my dose of menopur and also start taking fyremadel to prevent premature ovulation. I'm not really sure what to think now!

@Narwhal88 sure you will be ok! Drink lots of water and eat a lot of protein, it helps prevent/easy OHSS symptoms. Which we don't want to have :(

@sungirl11 I am 23 so everything looks OK my end (we are male factor infertility). However I didn't expect quite so many! Just hoping they're all going to be of good quality!

@Donimo how did you scan go?

We had our call first thing to call all 11 have fertilised, I can't believe it!!!

Thanks all - ifs definitely confirmation too @6543336787gesgvjhg! ET was 13th March. We waited out till OTD today to do a test but I've basically had my theory for the last week.... upset stomach and dizziness etc last Friday night, tender stomach and twinges since ET and waking 2x every night for bathroom - only something I've had with my other BFP and not a sniff of night waking with my BFN last Dec!

@Bethpalmer20 wow that's loads of follicles! What was your AFC and AMH can I ask?

Had egg collection this morning. We got 12 eggs! Now the anxious wait to see how many were mature and fertilise tomorrow.

@crazydoglady123 I have no idea on AFC but I'm pretty sure from what I can remember my AMH was about 35?

@narwhal88 they didn't mention anything about OHSS or give the impression that it was a concern but from doing my own research (Dr Google ) I would think that makes me quite high risk which I'm now quite worried about! I'd be gutted if we have to cancel our fresh cycle and do a frozen transfer instead but I think it's pretty much out of my control!

@Orsh great to hear you've started! The amount of meds is really quite overwhelming but once you start it feels like it goes quite quickly - or at least that's how I felt.

We had our Day 3 update and of our 8 that had fertilised, all are developing as expected, with 1 lagging about a day behind. So ET will be Sunday morning - super excited about that!!
I had a terrible night though - TMI but I was extremely constipated and woke up every few hours in pain and feeling like my pelvis was going to explode. I'm guessing it's a side effect of the progesterone? Not pleasant either way and I hope it eases before ET as it feels like there's absolutely no space for them to get in there atm haha

Small update. So ET is scheduled for tomorrow. One has compacted on timescale (has done everything bang on all way through) calling that one a really good quality as far as they can say.

Second one is lagging slightly behind but they aren't too worried as its developing nicely. They expect it to start compacting later this afternoon/this evening.

So they are hopeful we have one to transfer but will discuss in detail tomorrow when we arrive.

So still in game and will need to wait and see what tomorrow brings us. This week really has been an incredible emotional rollercoaster...

@RedFaerieBoots so glad that everything seems on track for ET tomorrow! It must be so hard and I'm sure you don't want to take it as a done deal, but your good quality one shows lots of promise for tomorrow :) and the other one seems only slightly behind...

@Beachbum85 - thank you. It really has been the most stressful and emotional week ever. Think it would have been less so had I more wiggle room.

Sad to see your side effects from cyclogest being very different. Other than the peeing like a fountain I'm good. DP laughed when they said to have a semi full bladder.

Just about to start my second cycle. EC 23rd April. Currently on down reg. was on the Feb:March thread.

Have a 22 month old and praying for a sibling for him. Nice to see there are others trying for a second. I’m 39.

Had a mmc last summer.

Did my first cycle last month. The cycle was quite successful and for three good quality 5 day blasts. We sent them all off for PGTa testing but none came back normal. We are going to continue in search of the golden egg!!

Looking forward to hearing about more positive tests!!

So my scan wasn't great but more positive than Tuesday. I have 2 good looking follicles now and my lining is thickening well. So more stims for me , then another scan on Monday. Looking at least another week for potential egg collection. Well Easter weekend could be a good time for eggs!! (hopefully). Trying to look at the positives as I went this morning expecting the cycle to be cancelled and nurse said definitely worth giving it longer!

Oh @donimo I definitely would send some your way if I could! It's sounding positive for you though! More stims is a bit annoying but hopefully it'll get you to where you need to be! My egg collection is due around Easter weekend too so we will hopefully be in the TWW together keeping everything crossed

@Donimo yes my follicles had grown quite a bit since my last scan on Wednesday. I'm glad to see you had a more positive scan. Hopefully the extra week gives you more good quality eggs!

So egg collection has been confirmed for Monday so we trigger tonight. I was just told yesterday that in addition to cyclogest I will also be on lubion injections daily. I was really looking forward to no more injections sigh but anything to give me a healthy baby 👶🏽

So a little update: after30+ follicles only 3 responded well so we were in the 0-3 group for EC yesterday. Thanks for all the info on the sedation, it really helped!

Have to say the sedation was the best nap I’ve ever had.

We were so grateful they managed to get the full 3 eggs. Update this morning is that we have 2 fertilised (expected as one of the egg sizes was borderline so we primed ourselves for 0-3). They are going to do a D3 transfer so all booked for Monday as long as they continue to develop as they should!

@Donimo I was on the line for a cancellation for this cycle but the third follicle grew just enough for us to progress. Sending positive vibes your way.

Just got the call that 10 out of 12 eggs were mature and 8 have fertilised! So booked in for a 5 day transfer and fingers crossed we have something to freeze.

@ForeverHopeful17 good luck with EC. When I arrived for EC yesterday they asked if I wanted lubion injections along with the cyclogest as well, apparently it's due to new guidance. I took them as I want as much progesterone as I can get as I think I am low naturally.
@Itstime1 great that they managed to get all 3 and that 2 have fertilised. Good luck for Monday!

@Richmondlady1981, good luck with your cycle. I am also starting an EC cycle. Its 1st of 3 ECs, some serious syringe action starting tomorrow...EC after Easter weekend. I have been trying to prepare mentally over past 3-4 months but now that process has started, don't know what to think. Just gotta do what we gotta do right !!! Like you said @Narwhal88, we are all warriors.
