@MF1981 oh my goodness!! That’s amazing 🙌 how are you feeling?!

MF1981 · 27/02/2021 08:25

Thanks @Sunbird24 @Doremifasol and @cher1981 I feel a little overwhelmed if I’m honest. How am I going to carry two babies?! We were told there was only a 20-30% chance of multiples but that putting 2 in increased our odds of one sticking by 10% so I just assumed we’d only have one!

cher1981 · 27/02/2021 08:29

@MF1981 It’s really understandable to feel that way. I had two embryos transferred for the same reason and am struggling to comprehend that one stuck! It’s going to take a while to get your head around for sure but your body is capable of it and you just need to look after yourself as much as possible: how’s your other half doing? 😂

Sunbird24 · 27/02/2021 08:29

@MF1981 I had 2 put in as well, for the same reason, but it was a big decision to make as I’m on my own. You will be fine once you figure out your routine, you’ll get extra looking after during your pregnancy and there’s support groups on FB etc for ‘multiples’.

@foodiefil I've just been reading your posts and I find myself in the same situation! I had been testing positive from d8p5dt following FET. OTD today..... clear blue digital said pregnant yesterday and not pregnant today. The other clear blue ones I feel are getting lighter aswell..... and all have been FMUSad The test provided to me by the clinic showed a very very faint line this morning......I've been feeling period cramps for a few days now and I feel it's just ready to explode..... waiting for clinic to contact me.... but I'm assuming they will tell me the same as to wait it out. P.S How do people feel about endometrial scratch?

kikisparks · 27/02/2021 09:10

Wow @MF1981 that’s so exciting!!! How are you feeling?

I’m 4 weeks 6 days today and still testing every day 🙈 I always say tomorrow will be the day I will stop. I have wobbles when I don’t see quite what darkness of line that I expect but when I looked today at my tests for the past week there’s very clear progression. I’m really going to try to hold off for a few days then maybe do another digital. I hope once/ if I get some symptoms I can stop testing altogether.

I’ve got the date now for my viability scan, 2 weeks 3 days away, I bet that’s going to feel like the longest fortnight ever!

MF1981 · 27/02/2021 09:11

Thanks @Sunbird24 and @cher1981. My partner is really excited now but think he was a bit shell shocked at the time - the nurse doing the scan asked him if he was ok!

kikisparks · 27/02/2021 09:14

@MF1981 sorry missed your update on how you are feeling- I think overwhelmed is a normal reaction but I’m sure you’ll be feeling ready by the time they arrive!

kikisparks · 27/02/2021 09:17

@chocolate336 sorry you are going through that, how stressful, I hope you get answers soon. I’m intrigued by the idea of an endometrial scratch, but don’t know much about it.

chocolate336 · 27/02/2021 09:21

@kikisparks

I know someone who didn't get it first time and failed her fresh cycle.... then she was recommended it for her FET and was successful... that was about two years ago. I have been told by two doctors at my clinic that they don't recommend it now, but they still offer it Confused

somethingfunny · 27/02/2021 09:35

@chocolate336 I had the endo scratch in 2017 with a fresh cycle as part of a clinical trial to see if it offered any advantage. It didn't work, and my two FET since (both without the scratch) have both worked - my DD was born in 2018 and I'm now 6+2 with my second. The trial showed no benefit to having the scratch, but my clinic do still offer it (but advise they don't think it's necessary)

thirteen92 · 27/02/2021 09:39

@MF1981 oh wow, congratulations!!! How amazing!

I have zero symptoms! I was hoping something may start once I hit 6 weeks but nope, nothing! The only thing I’d say is that I’m hungry, tired and bloated but that’ll be progesterone.

I’m having a private scan on Tuesday so praying al is ok! Haven’t done anymore tests since I was around 5+4.

chocolate336 · 27/02/2021 09:45

@somethingfunny that's so good to hear! I had it in my head that if it worked for her it has to work for me so I have to get it...... crazy IVF brain Confused

I'm sorry love, it's really crap because the positives raise your hopes and you start to believe then just as quickly they're dashed.

I've started to bleed now I'm afraid.

I'll have this bleed then a normal period then start again. Hope my normal period doesn't take too long to come I've heard it can take longer than usual.

Hope you're ok x

foodiefil · 27/02/2021 10:16

@MF1981

Guys I had my viability scan yesterday and it’s twins! I can’t believe they both stuck!
That's amazing!! How exciting. My friend had twins through IVF. A boy and a girl, they're both beautiful funny intelligent little 5 year olds now.

What did the clinic say?

chocolate336 · 27/02/2021 10:37

@foodiefil

Thanks for replying. I'm not ok at the mo but I will be! I had to wait a long five months for my FET following my fresh...... that's what is also getting to me! I really hope the waiting list has gone down now..... I'm in N.I

foodiefil · 27/02/2021 10:44

@chocolate336 aww I'm sorry that's so stressful and annoying.
I didn't get any Frosties so will be starting again - we're private though so don't have the stress of NHS waiting lists 😢 must be really frustrating

chocolate336 · 27/02/2021 10:49

@foodiefil

We are private.... that's the extremely annoying thing Sad We have 4 Frosties waiting so very lucky

kikisparks · 27/02/2021 11:04

@foodiefil sorry to hear that Sad after my most recent chemical my period came on CD32 which was about 6 days later than normal, but my period after my chemical in 2017 came right on time. Hope it doesn’t take too long to come for you and that you can get started as soon as you feel ready.

foodiefil · 27/02/2021 11:11

@chocolate336 ahh bugger. Things have moved quite quickly for us at our clinic so I hope a waiting list doesn't pop up now.

@kikisparks thanks kiki. It's rubbish this has happened to you twice. How you doing now? Xxx

Currently self medicating with codeine and ibuprofen

chocolate336 · 27/02/2021 11:23

Hopefully it does! Wishing you all the luck in the world for your next round Smile

chocolate336 · 27/02/2021 11:24

@foodiefil see below lol..... still getting the hang of this forum business Smile

foodiefil · 27/02/2021 11:31

Thanks @chocolate336 ❤️❤️
Hope everything works out for you too xxx

chocolate336 · 27/02/2021 11:32

@foodiefil Smile

kikisparks · 27/02/2021 11:55

@foodiefil I’m ok, still very nervous, I’m 15dp5dt which is the day I started bleeding with my last chemical, but I’m feeling a bit more confident this time as the tests seem to be darker. I hope the next round will be the one you get a BFP with nice dark lines.
