@MF1981 exciting - all the best for tomorrow x

cher1981 · 25/02/2021 13:08

@foodiefil I’m sorry to hear things are less certain. Please talk to us this next week if you need support ❤️

@Folklore9074 I have weaned myself off the preg tests. I was doing them daily up to 6 weeks but following a reassurance scan I’ve stopped. I understand the pull to do it so if it gives you comfort keep doing it!

@MF1981 Good luck tomorrow 🤞🏻

I keep having small amounts of brown discharge but trying to bear in mind what my nurses said about there being no cause for concern unless heavier and with cramping. It’s hard to think about anything else 🙈

kikisparks · 25/02/2021 13:42

@MF1981 good luck for tomorrow!

@Folklore9074 I’ve tested every day so far (8dp5dt to 13dp5dt) and I’m thinking I’ll try and move to every second day if I can, the need for reassurance is strong. I don’t really have symptoms either.

kikisparks · 25/02/2021 13:44

@cher1981 sorry you’re still having discharge, I’ve seen so many stories now of women who have on off bleeding throughout pregnancy and the baby is fine, but it still must be upsetting to see it.

Folklore9074 · 25/02/2021 13:52

@Cher1981 and @kikisparks Glad its not just me then! They are great for that bit of reassurance and there's no harm in it is there, so maybe I'll just keep going with them until I scan or get some more symptoms.

MF1981 · 25/02/2021 13:56

Interesting @cher1981 that you’re still having the discharge. I’ve got a little bit of cramping and some pink discharge today. Hope it’s all ok in there.

cher1981 · 25/02/2021 14:11

@MF1981 it’s strange how common bleeding in pregnancy is yet it’s something I’d never heard of before! I’m sure your little one is snuggling in tight but take it easy if you can until your scan.

Folklore9074 · 25/02/2021 14:51

@cher1981 and @MF1981 I've been getting a little spotting and pink/brown discharge as well and I read that its much more common in IVF pregnancies. Just remembering this off the top of my head but I read it was something like 40% of all IVF pregnancies experience this. I think (hope) my spotting was down to implantation and the discharge due to the suppositories.

Thanks for the great advice! Yes I feel like I will go for another retrieval. At least I will feel like I have done everything I could... My husband is up for it but says it is my body ultimately so I should be the one to choose if I feel I can put up with another full cycle.

@Motherofkittens28 You should definitely go for your own frozen eggs first. Mine were frozen when I was 34. I have polycystic ovaries so got 46, out of which 38 survived the thaw. I ended up with a 13 embryos. But that ratio shouldn’t be applied to a lower number of eggs as when you get as many, several are bad quality usually. I got pregnant with my daughter from the very first transfer from that batch (before the more recent 4 failed transfers).

Motherofkittens28 · 25/02/2021 20:38

Thank you @Tarsette thats really encouraging although I only have 6 mature eggs frozen, but hopefully they are of decent quality as I had just turned 35 at the time. Let's see how this cycle ends up and then I'll explore using the frosties

Nichola2310 · 26/02/2021 07:45

Sensitive post

I've been following all the testing here over the last few days and finally broke and decided to test at 11dp5dt with a FRER. My clinic test date is 15dp5dt with results the day after.

I'm honestly shaking right now, I was convinced it would be negative. Think I'll have to test a couple more times in the next few days anyway but delighted this morning!

I need a handhold... just had my early scan (6weeks+6 days). I have retroverted uterus and doc said due to extremely restriceted view she can't confirm heart beat. Gestacional sac, yolk sac and fetal pole all seen and mesure in line with the dates more or less. Doc was extremely poor communicator and I really don't know what to think now. After ectopic and mmc I don't dare to think we might be lucky.
I am due another scan on Tue. Maybe 4 days will make a difference. But is there such a thing that HB can't be detected due to retroverted uterus? Confused

foodiefil · 26/02/2021 16:40

@Doremifasol I don't really know how that would impact hearing the heartbeat but I hope you get some answers soon, you'll be really worried I'm sure.
Holding your hand and sending love and strength ❤️

kikisparks · 26/02/2021 17:04

@Doremifasol I’ve no experience of this but a quick look online seems to suggest that a retroverted uterus can affect whether a heartbeat can be detected. I think it’s a really good sign that the sac, yolk and pole measure in line with the dates but I can totally understand your worry. Seeing the heartbeat is one of those milestones we want to reach for reassurance. I hope you get answers on Tuesday.

cher1981 · 26/02/2021 20:33

@Doremifasol Aww I understand how frustrating that must have felt. I have limited knowledge of retroverted uterus but agree that all the other signs are good so try not to lose hope. Take it easy this weekend and we are all rooting for you.

MF1981 · 27/02/2021 08:05

Guys I had my viability scan yesterday and it’s twins! I can’t believe they both stuck!

Doremifasol · 27/02/2021 08:16
