I reached OTD today and got a positive on the digital so I’ve told the clinic. Very happy to get this far but it was at this point last time round that my lines started getting lighter. Crossing everything for a sticky one this time!

@IVFat43 it was Tuesday. My clinic's OTD is 9dp5dt.

These tests are first response rapid result, not the most sensitive actually 🙈

@foodiefil ah yeah I bought those the last time by accident! I bet you’d have much stronger lines on FRERs too then. But you’ve got a positive now of course so don’t need to keep testing, says me who has tested every day since 8dp5dt 🙈

Clear blue digital says not pregnant this morning.

And I think the line is fainter of the first response rapid result.

FMU. And not getting darker.

Oh I’m so very sorry @foodiefil 😔 was really hoping this was it for you. I have been there, hope you can take care of yourself. I took a few days off work both times, there was no way I could concentrate, I just lay on the couch and ate food and binge watched light crappy TV.

@foodiefil don’t lose hope just yet. You’ve probably got low-ish HCG (that’s what I had this cycle) and it can really go either way from there. In my case it went down (chemical) but it could have just as well been a late implanter and gone up!

As for me, I’m badly in need of advice! So I have now had 4 transfers (5 blasts transferred) that all resulted in chemicals or BFN’s. I still have 6 blasts left over from that batch but they are not great quality (all have C’s in them), have not been tested and were made from frozen eggs, meaning they were frozen twice (and I worry that has affected their quality). I am prepared to give this one last go so am thinking of having another egg retrieval and having any resulting blasts PGT tested to check for chromosomal anormalities. Is this crazy? Should I go down this path or should I use my remaining blasts instead? I keep changing my mind and can’t seem to make a decision.

Thanks @Tarsette we're prepared for the worst but I still have a thin strip of hope. On my OTD with FMU it was really faint. Then got darker and seemed to be darker last night then this morning with FMU in a pot it's bloody negative.

I don't know much about your specific situation but could it be worth trying for another round to see if you get different quality embryos? You'll still always have your blasts won't you? It's so hard x

@Tarsette I suppose you couldn’t PGT your current batch of embryos as it would mean another re-freeze and thaw? If you can afford to do another fresh cycle then I probably would because at least you’d be getting embryos at the age you are now, whereas if you exhaust the blasts you have left you could be another year down the line before a further egg retrieval? And those frozen embryos will still be there even if the fresh cycle doesn’t work out.

Clinic have rang back. Repeat test in a week. Ring them if I bleed

@Tarsette in sorry that your transfers haven't worked out so far. You said you started with frozen eggs, is that from an earlier point in your life? Im curious as I was told at my first progress scan on Monday that I might need to consider donor eggs as my response was really poor, I froze some of my own eggs 4 years ago so that would be my first option, just wondering what your success rates in terms of surviving the defrost and fertilising were?

I would say that it might be worth considering another fresh round as quality declines all the time and you'll still have your remaining blasts to fall back on if the fresh round doesn't work out.

@foodiefil oh that’s such a difficult limbo to be in but at least there’s hope! I wish they’d just do a beta for you so you could have the answer sooner (my clinic won’t do it either)

@Tarsette I would be tempted to do another ivf round and throw every vitamin and growth hormone at it and see what you get. Then transfer the earlier ones in batches. What does your partner think - they up for more/is it an option?

Is anyone else who had got a BFP this month become obsessed with doing pregnancy tests?

Just did another one this morning making it my fourth of the week, still BFP. I keep worrying its not real or I'll miscarry. This is my first pregnancy so I've no huge reason to expect that I just feel very anxious.

Its also compounded by the fact I don't feel a great deal different. No big symptoms and still a few weeks away from my scan at the clinic.

I haven’t tested since the day after otd but then I’m feeling really constantly nauseous - I think if I had no symptoms then I would be testing more. It’s only natural I think to worry, especially those of us who have never been pregnant before and don’t know what to expect. I’ve got my scan tomorrow so will find out if everything really is ok and how many there are - eeekk!
