Sorry to hear @Gardenlady543 what you’ve gone through, it’s annoying when there’s a lack of support and consideration. You may still be ok, but good that you have plan B and embryos to use for PGT-A.

@foodiefil glad you’ve got some feedback and looking positive 😃 I’ve been on the Progesterone (3 times per day) just to cover in case they’re no good to freeze and I do a fresh.. there awful things, leave an mushy mess 🙈🙄😂

Today’s update;
We still have 15 in the running and should know tomorrow if they reach Blastocyst;

• 1 has already started,
• 8 are where they should be at the Morula stage which is excellent,
• 4 are one stage behind and still very good
• and 2 slow to develop at cell stage..

It’s definitely a numbers game!

But so far so good and 98% chance testing will be done with scratch booked in for next month.. it’s a pain waiting another month for implantation but it’s for the best considering my age and only wanting to try once.. but sounds like we’ll have some to freeze for another try..🤞

Does anyone know the cost to use frozen embryos for a 2nd attempt (paying private)? I’ve emailed the clinic but not yet had a reply.. thanks everyone xx

@jonrik congratulations on being officially pregnant!!
My hcg was 296 on 13 days past 3 day transfer. I haven't had any more blood tests but I just did Clearblue digital this afternoon and it says 3+ weeks!!

Thanks @IVFat43 re price of FET, all clinics will have their own pricing structure, it just went up at my clinic to £2000 per FET not including the medications (which are usually around £200-300). When I was deciding about whether to do PGT-A even if this cycle somehow does miraculously result in a positive, it is cost effective, with the 1k charge plus price per embryo at my clinic, PGT-A works out at £470 per embryo and my clinic will only transfer 1 at a time at my age, so makes sense for me to have the testing done for future FETS anyway.

@IVFat43 I should be having my FET next Friday fingers crossed, will let you know how much it costs! I’m doing a natural cycle d as I no drugs in advance, just expecting more of the dreaded progesterone pessaries afterwards...

so no drugs in advance... 🤦‍♀️

@Gardenlady543 £2k really.. you wouldn’t think that much with all the hard work already done, that’s frustrating 🤔 Prices have gone up at ours too, luckily they’ve honoured last years quote for this cycle, fingers crossed it works then 😩

Thanks all! Yeah, you're right, it's more about the progression than the actual number.
My next appointment isn't for another 3 1/2 weeks, which I think is very long to wait. No further blood tests, just the scan at 7.5 weeks. Just need to relax I suppose and trust all is well...

Sorry to butt in, bit of a lurker when doing our own ivf, but thought I might be able to add something for @IVFat43 our FET without drugs costs £1635 each time (that's including embryo glue at £155) that includes the HEFA fee. It will depend on location. Our drugs up to transfer cost around £300 then afterwards would have been around £400

@IVFat43 those are great numbers! They give me hope in case I decide to go for one last attempt with another EC, since I’m 41 and was worrying I might not get many good quality blasts (I always have plenty of follicles but no ideas about current quality!)

I am now 4dp5dt and not feeling any symptoms at all... I’ve decided to wait until 9dp5dt to test, which is also my OTD as I only want one painful day not a series of painful days with some hidden hope in them (that’s what I’ve learnt after having 3 unsuccessful transfers previously haha)...

I’m a mix with emotions!

Not sure whether I’d tell people to get daily checks now having built my hopes up so much! ..the past 5 days have been super positive, receiving comments that our results were excellent and I’d had such a good response to IVF so far; 21 eggs got to 15 fertilised embryos, 13 of which predominantly grade1, and the rest grade 2.. we were pretty much where we needed to be yesterday and expected 9 to be at blastocyst today.. I’ve been walking in a bubble the past week thinking this may just work, but 24hrs later they struggled with blastocyst and today I only got 2.. luckily 2 good enough to test, however it was make or break at 9.30am thinking transfer would be today.. I wasn’t prepared at all and I was in a state of panic..

I’m gutted!

There is still hope tomorrow more will make blastocyst and I get opportunity to test and freeze.. but unfortunately they are not open to transfer on a Sunday, so should the 2 fail PGT-A testing I may also lose those tomorrow if there no good to freeze..

All I can do now is to reduce my hopes, keep my fingers crossed, stay patient and hope for PGT-A to return back normal. (FYI my chances are 25% so unlikely) 😔😟😔

@IVFat43 is today day 5? There are people in this thread who were in a similar situation and by day 6 things had turned around for them, so it’s not over yet, it sounds like the embryologist want to give the embryos more time.

People have mentioned that a good egg quality gets the embryos to day 3 and then after that it’s more to do with the sperm so if things are dropping off later on, then the chances are it’s not the egg quality that’s the issue. How quickly do the PGT-A results come back, can they check that quickly and still do a fresh transfer? At my clinic it takes about 2 weeks because they send it off.

@Gardenlady543 yes day 5 today. They’re trying now to not build my hopes up and focusing on just the 2 from today than discuss hopes of tomorrow.

They freeze them as soon as they take a cell biopsy. It takes officially 7 days but I’m told it could take up to 3 wks for the results.

@IVFat43 I think you’ve done really well and for there to be so many doing well up until now, that must be a good thing. I really hope these other ones catch up tomorrow. And you never know when it comes to PGT-A testing, people that have done it multiple times and have had different proportions of euploid embryos each time, these 2 from today could be perfect

Something I’ve learned in this process is what will be will be, you’ve done all you can, try and relax and hopefully they’ll be good news tomorrow and over the next few weeks for you!

I generally am a positive person and think it helps to a healthy mind, I do feel dramatic saying it but today it was like falling off a cliff.. I’ve put it to the back of my mind now and just waiting for tomorrow’s call 🤞

So I woke up this morning and had some pinkish discharge when I wiped. I have been having very light cramping feelings the last couple of days. The pink seems to have gone now and is more of a barely noticeable brown but the light cramps/pulling sensations are still there. Not sure what level of this is normal and when I should be concerned really. I’m 17dp5dt now.
