I've currently been told just to take them until I take a pregnancy test.

@foodiefil I think it’s because your body doesn’t produce it itself in an IVF pregnancy until then - I’ve been told to stop if I get BFN but if it’s BFP 12 weeks

Update: I did another cheap test today (8dp5dt) and there was another faint line but I’m convinced it’s an evaporation line or a false positive 🙈 going to invest in a ‘proper’ test to do tomorrow morning. The joy!

@cher1981 which ones are you meant to use? Just any?

@foodiefil after my fresh transfer I was told only to take them until OTD whether it’s a BFP or not, I miscarried shortly after stopping them though so much as I hate them I’m actually glad it’s longer this time. I have to take them until OTD then I can stop if it’s a BFN or have to keep going until 12 weeks pregnant if it’s a BFP.

There are worse things in life but I find the pills, nasal spray and even injections (and I hate needles) to be better than these.

The scheduling of pessaries is irritating as they need to be taken 12 hours apart and once you pick your times they need to be taken at the same time every day and you need to lie down for half an hour after each time. For me they’re uncomfortable to put in (I have endometriosis though so get regular pain down there), they physically irritate me, then I spend ages stressing if they’re in far enough to absorb ok. They’re also so messy, once I get up they start leaking out and ruin my pants. I’ve resigned myself to panty liners for as long as I’m on them.

@cher1981 use an FRER! I’ve found them the most sensitive and they give good lines early on.

@foodiefil good luck for your scan, with the pessaries at my clinic in a fresh transfer you stop at OTD as your body is meant to produce enough progesterone from then on (but I have lots of signs of low progesterone and wonder if my body didn’t produce enough), if it’s a frozen transfer your body won’t produce progesterone on its own so you need to take it until 12 weeks.

@kikisparks they’re awful aren’t they?! I had a leak through pants onto jeans the other day. So gross.

@foodiefil I’m never sure! I’m guessing ones that work out at less than a pound each doesn’t equate to reliable results though 😂

@cher1981 I’ve never seen anything but pure white on those cheap tests, so any form of line is likely to be good! Hope your OH comEs back with a more sensitive test soon to ease your worries!

On the subject of progesterone, I’m unfortunately reacting again, exactly 3 full days after the dose was increased (this is when I got the reaction in my fresh cycle). Trying to relax as much as possible. I’m now 3dp5dt and feeling very stressed, not sure how I’ll react if it’s another unsuccessful cycle

I was so tempted to test this morning at 9dp5dt. Considering it tomorrow. My clinic seems to have a much later otd than many others on here.

@MF1981 well done for holding out so long so far! I made it to 6dp5dt last time (and got a barely there squinter) think I’ll wait until 8 or 9dp5dt this time as that will mean testing at the weekend which I’d prefer rather than before work. The downside of course is that it might be too early and show negative and cause unnecessary heartache and then go on to be positive on OTD.

That’s so exciting @cher1981 you must be so chuffed, I’ve never ever had a BFP so I think I’d be in complete shock if I saw that!!

Thanks for the kind words @MF1981 and @kikisparks In my first cycle I was on utrogestan, then changed to lubion. This time I’m on lubion and cyclogest and the cyclogest dose went up 3 days ago. It seems to be that my body reacts when the level in my body increases rapidly. When I started progesterone this time I followed a desensitization regime, it helped my body get used to the dose, but then when I had to suddenly increase the dose, my body was kind of shocked (This is my theory anyway). It is just a rash (Although an unpleasant burning and itchy rash) and I have an epipen in case the worst happens. I was referred urgently to immunology back in December and they’re going to do a telephone appointment at the end of Feb, so for now I’ll just keep preserving and hope for the best.

MF1981 I would have given in and tested already! I think my biggest worry is presuming it’s positive and then being heartbroken, so I think I’d rather think it’s negative early and then be pleasantly surprised. But I do get that you want to time things around work etc, so I think do what you think is right!

Hey ladys how's everyone doing! This tww is agony! I've been getting positives on first response then they started fading so I thought chemical but then I changed and done a clear blue which is less sensitive and came up witha faint line and again today but the line looks a little darker what the hell am i or arnt I its so frustrating! Anyone eles had that ? Xx

I’m 3dp5dt today... I’ve had a few odd shooting pains today. They come and go and then I feel nothing!!! I keep going round in circles convincing myself it hasn’t worked and then feeling optimistic that is has.

My clinic has a late OTD! I’ll be 13dp5dt when it’s my test day! I keep thinking about testing early... I just know I’ll be heart broken.

Does everyone think this is okay ? I've tested early on so been going mad over tests! Top one was yesterday morning and there is a line there but so faint its hard to see in the camera! Im 11 days past transfer x

@Gardenlady543 I’ve also never ever seen a positive pregnancy test. Although to be fair I’ve only ever taken one! It’s quite nice being in blissful ignorance really.

@Prinnyshelly I can see a line in both of them, but it doesn’t look like it photographs that well, so may be easier for you to compare them in real life, when is your OTD? If you get a faint line then, they they could do a blood test, and maybe more than one to look at the trend.

@Gardenlady543 yeah its frustrating because in real life its more noticable and even in a video but I don't think I can upload videos on here lol my Dr said test 12/14 days day 12 being tomorrow so of a digital comes up no then il do it on Tuesday which will be 14 days past! @kikisparks ermm im just testing first thing hun its always first morning wee but times are different
