@Gardenlady543 no they're not giving me anything to stop them growing. It's the Newcastle Fertility Centre at the Centre for Life. I don't know if it's shut on a Sunday actually. They're doing his procedure monday morning. Yes you're right - 5 days would be Sunday ...

hopeful182 · 04/02/2021 15:27

@Tarsette well thats good to know, I know there is different levels of OHSS and it sounds from experience you had it quite bad with sickness, so perhaps if it is OHSS for me it might be more mild. Fingers crossed.

The clinic called today (day 3) and out of 13 fertilised i have 4 good grade ones, and 4 nearly there ones. We have never had more than 1/2 good grade ones and alot of ok ones which by day 5 aren't so ok. So I have booked in for a fresh transfer for 12 sat, I can't not do it with that many good grade ones. Especially when I don't know if the others will catch up or that the 4 would survive a freeze/thaw. (I am in that unlucky 20% that don't survive)
However my DH has said if I deteriorate by sat we aren't doing it, which I have agreed.

Thank you for your advice. X

@foodiefil you might want to check if they do procedures on a Sunday, especially if that’s when you’re ET will end up falling. It’s up to you whether you want to enquire about the timing of the scan and procedures, so you can make sure everything is being scheduled based on clinical need. I hope if things go as planned that the follicles don’t get too big before they are aspirated, the eggs inside can become overmature if that happens.

@hopeful182 that’s great news about the embryos, I hope you can rest over the next few days and that you’re feeling better for the ET Flowers

cher1981 · 04/02/2021 16:34

@foodiefil Oooh good luck! Exciting times ahead, I have my fingers crossed for you :)

@thirteen92 @Gensola. Congrats on being PUPO!

6dp5dt here and very crampy across what I presume is my womb.. lol I'm presuming this is the oestrogen tablets and progesterone pessaries but part of me is thinking 'oooh what if'. I have some cheap tests to do and plan on doing one Saturday morning. Eeeeep.

thirteen92 · 04/02/2021 17:21

Congrats on being pupo! @Gardenlady543 when is your OTD? Mines 16th which is hubby’s birthday.

@cher1981 ohhh fingers crossed the cramps are a good sign! When is your OTD?

Gardenlady543 · 04/02/2021 17:41

We have the same OTD @thirteen92 I’m sure I’ll test before that though 😀

Gensola · 04/02/2021 17:57

@Gardenlady543 @thirteen92 - my OTD is 15th, DH is keen not to test before that. We shall see!! Grin

Gardenlady543 · 04/02/2021 17:59

@Gensola I’m lucky that DH doesn’t have a clue when I’m testing and just leaves me to my own devices.

RichmondLady1981 · 04/02/2021 18:38

Congratulations and good look to all the ladies who are PUPO!!! Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you all!! 💕

thirteen92 · 04/02/2021 18:43

@Gardenlady543 @Gensola

My hubby has refused to let me test early! He said he can’t be doing with me being upset if it’s negative and I’ve tested early because then all I’ll do is fret etc. I know where he’s coming from! I’m going to try and keep busy!!

foodiefil · 04/02/2021 19:06

Waiting for a call back @Gardenlady543 will ask!

@cher1981 🥰🥰

cher1981 · 04/02/2021 19:30

@thirteen92 OTD is Monday the 8th! It's flown by thankfully.

Thanks everyone Smile

Gensola · 04/02/2021 21:34

I’m very busy at work so hoping the time will go quickly Smile
I had some mild cramps today after the transfer, probably from the catheter. Otherwise I feel fine.
I was planning to stop vigorous exercise but continue yoga, do people think that will be ok? I find it really helps with back pain.

Tarsette · 05/02/2021 06:16

@Gensola and @thirteen92 congrats on being PUPO and good luck with the 2WW!

@hopeful182 yes i agrée you should go ahead with the transfer unless you get much worse. If you don’t, it means the OHSS was mild. I already feel a bit better today so I’m not too worried either.

@Gardenlady543 Yes my clinic has devises this whole protocol just for me. I had several months of trial and error (with artificial estrogen and even Viagra!) but nothing worked until we tried the stims!

I’m also wondering about exercise...just now I don’t feel well enough and I want to avoid it just after the transfer but maybe some Pilates in the second week of the 2WW...

hopeful182 · 05/02/2021 07:04

@Tarsette I am pleased you are feeling better. Thank you for your advice, I still feel something but it definetly is much better.
For exercise after my fresh transfer, I'm just doing steps in the house, trying to get between 10k and 20k. I mean some people do that anyway but I don't and usually go to the gym to get my workouts, but with them being closed and soon to be PUPO I think I will do steps. Pilates sound good, I might be wrong here, but I am sure there are some moves that pregnant women shouldn't do, but the majority is fine. It would be worth a Google, or try YouTube for pregnancy safe pilates.

kikisparks · 05/02/2021 07:05

@Gardenlady543 In the fertility yoga I do the teacher says not to do any yoga for 48 hours after transfer but otherwise it’s fine. I think gentle yoga would be good for getting blood flow to the womb.

kikisparks · 05/02/2021 07:05

Sorry wrong tag! Should have been @Gensola.

MF1981 · 05/02/2021 10:22

How is everyone today?

I’m starting to feel like this hasn’t worked for me. Aside from the light cramping yesterday and the day before and little hint of pink discharge yesterday morning, I haven’t felt any different. In fact I swear my boobs have actually got smaller! Surely at 8dp5dt that shouldn’t be happening!

Gensola · 05/02/2021 10:44

@MF1981 when is your OTD? I reckon any symptoms can mean anything - think of all those women who don’t even realise they’re pregnant for months!
I feel fine, I woke up very nauseated with cramps but that has settled down.
I’m trying my best to zen out with mixed results Grin

Whitestripes007 · 05/02/2021 10:46

@MF1981I know it’s easier said than done but try not to stress over symptoms. How long do you have left until you can test? I know the wait is horrible especially when it’s harder to keep busy in lockdown.

I’m booked on for EC on Monday, I still only have 1 follicle and as I’m on the highest dose of stims they think it is my best chance before trying a natural round. @IVFat43 I think we are roughly at the same stage, how are you getting on?

MF1981 · 05/02/2021 10:52

@Gensola and @Whitestripes007 my otd isn’t until Wednesday and I really want to hold off testing until then because a. I’ve got Wed, Thurs and Fri off work and b. I’m scared and kind of don’t want to know the result. We can’t win can we?!

IVFat43 · 05/02/2021 11:34

@Whitestripes007 yes we are by the sounds of it.. just left scan 3, I’m also booked in for Monday 😃..
Lining was 10.2, loads of follicles but 8 dominant big ones over 16mm and 11 medium ones over 14mm.. so looking ok.. I’ll get a call later with the trigger time, my last 3 injections will be tomorrow (whoop whoop 🙌🏼 )

They seem to know what there doing so run with it and take each step at a time, but relax most importantly xx

foodiefil · 05/02/2021 12:15

@Whitestripes007 @IVFat43IVFA

raises hand think I'm about the same as you too. I have a final scan tomorrow. Hcg Sunday night and EC on Tuesday. All being well :)

Tarsette · 05/02/2021 12:29

@MF1981 Def don’t stress about symptoms. I have had a cycle where I got pregnant and several where I did and they all felt exactly the same! Especially will all the extra hormones we get, it’s impossible to tell what is what! My boobs for smaller and bigger every few days during the first few weeks I was pregnant, so it really doesn’t mean much!

jonrik · 05/02/2021 13:08

@MF1981, I'm with you! I'm 4dp5dt today and I have absolutely no symptoms whatsoever, not even cramping. My OTD isn't until Friday next week and I've already done a test the last two days to see that the trigger is out my system, which it is, but I really try not to read anything into the lack of symptoms. Easier said than done though. Sending you lots of patience and positive thoughts!
