Hi

I’m due to start IVF mid February depending on when my period in January starts.
Had a fresh cycle end of august which sadly ended in a missed miscarriage in October.
I only had that one embryo so will be starting a new fresh cycle.

Would love to chat to any ladies starting then as I found the chats really helpful during my first round.

@elsiegoggings I am starting ivf, scans booked in for Feb 11,19 & 22 with potential ER between 24-26 Feb all going well. I've spoken to my doctor about getting a cert. My treatment is right in the middle of an extremely busy period in work where all leave has been cancelled so I have no choice but to go on sick leave. A few days off will do no harm at that stage anyway

@GingerBrummie Hi, I hadn't noticed before you mentioned it but there was a little bit of buserelin left in the syringe. It didn't come out even after I took the needle out?

Hi @Kitttycatt Ive most certainly put 0.5ml in the syringe & injected the full amount however even again this morning there was a small amount left over, Im thinking thats the left over bit in the “neck” of the syringe which isnt part of my 0.5 dosage. Sorry that doesnt seem to make sense! But Im confident I got the 0.5ml dosage even with the leftover amount!

Hi all 👋 room for one more? I’m starting my first round of IVF on Thursday 4th Feb. I’m on the long protocol (‘cause I’m old-er and I seem to have low follicle count). Hoping for Egg collection on 3rd March. I’ve tried clomid/letrozole but have had no luck, I’ve got hypothalamic amenorrhea so no ovulation. Just waiting for the drugs to arrive... 😬

@GingerBrummie I didn’t do Buserelin, but I do remember when I did my stims I had this worry and I think it’s just a minute residual amount left over and normal. My husband showed me even with brute force (once we had removed the needle from me I might add!) the plunger wouldn’t go down anymore, so we just made our peace that it must be normal and everything did work out fine with my egg collection

Hope you're all having good weekends! The waiting for my period and first round to start is taking FOREVER in lockdown, so we're going to paint the living room today! Due to start around Thur/Fri hope the time passes quickly 🤞

I’m glad I’m not the only one that has decided to redecorate my house from the boredom of waiting Grin the countdown to 11 Feb is really dragging for me. My medication is scheduled for delivery on Thursday and I can’t believe how excited I am for it, it’s actually quite sad when I think about it Hmm

Hi all, I know what you mean re waiting. I actually put IVF off for so long (thinking I didn't need it)! yet now its here, Im counting down the days to the next stage. So far so good. I think the down regging is the long ‘boring’ stage where nothing is happening, once thats over I imagine it goes quite quickly. This is my 6th day down regging & AF is due today but Ive heard buserelin can delay it, not sure if others found that too?

Anyone with NHS and had their cycle postponed in January?

Mine was due to start in the January but due to COVID they asked me to call back in February mid so I can start in March anyone in this situation?

Hi @Freya2015 sorry to hear that, very frustrating. Mine is still going ahead as planned (St Barts in London). What hospital is it?

Also due to start injecting Menopur and Gonal F on Wednesday! Have just come off Norethisterone and waiting for my bleed either tomorrow or Tuesday, so we’ll be on the same timeline!

Hi, hope everyone is doing well. I started Norethisterone yesterday, will start taking Buserelin tomorrow and fingers crossed, will start taking stims on Feb 17th. I took them for 13 days last time as I did respond but some follicles lagged and they wanted to get as many as possible, so my EC probably won't be until early March.

Anyone else on a similar timeline?

@lucymills1234 I am due to start provera Friday and if all goes to plan and my period comes 3 days after I stop taking them I’m due to start stims on the 17th too with egg collection estimated on March 1st. I also had to stop for longer last time but I’m on a higher dose so hopefully will all fit into the dates they have given me

@GingerBrummie - mine was nearly a week or more late on buserelin!

nothing to update at my end, still waiting for my period, due on the 12th Feb so will start stimms on 14th (Happy Valentines to me!)

@CLP20 Hi! I really hope I'll be joining you. My down regulation didn't work in Dec due to cysts developing on my ovary so I'm really hoping I get the all clear tomorrow at my scan. 🤞

Hi Ladies

I started a long protocol on 4th January, started buserelin on day 21, im not on day 29 hoping to start menopur and ovaleap if all has down regulated on the 9th Feb, egg retrieval on 22nd if all goes well.

@Blessing12 sounds like very similar timeframe to me. My down reg scan is booked for the 9th and I think all being well I should start Ovaleap then. I don't have Menopur though?

This is my first IVF cycle, NHS funded so it's all new to me.

@GingerBrummie I started buserelin 10days ago AF started on day 2 it was awful, the pain iv never felt anything like it in my life, I called the clinic in tears to be told iv had the rough end of the stick with all the side effects possible and at its worse, thankfully now its finally at bay and I can actually get out of bed. One more week and then fingers crossed will be starting meds to stimulate x
How long have you been down regulating for?

Yes same day as my scan, then ovaleap hopefully on the 10th all going well. Do you know the dosage you are on?
I'm on 375 Ovaleap and 75 menopur.

This is my 2nd cycle but completely different to my first and completely different meds this time, id never heard of Ovaleap untill they told me at my appointment.
Are you short or long protocol?
