I’m due to start IVF mid February depending on when my period in January starts.
Had a fresh cycle end of august which sadly ended in a missed miscarriage in October.
I only had that one embryo so will be starting a new fresh cycle.

Would love to chat to any ladies starting then as I found the chats really helpful during my first round.

@willithappen From what they said I think the numbers are on size/development, she said that the 5's were just starting to hatch, the 4 hasn't hatched yet but it could be hours or even minutes behind. They said there is very minimal differences between each of the grades and letters and they won't transfer anything that isn't viable.

Guess they just need some criteria to work from in a lab otherwise it would just be pot luck. Suppose when conceiving naturally there isn't someone in there grading embryos, they just get on and do what they do so every transfer has baby potential ☺️

Evening everyone, some great news to catch up on today again. Fantastic! Xx (btw.. what is PUPO plz!?) A huge thank you to the person that suggested using ice before injections. Omg I don't feel a thing now!! Two weeks into buserelin so another week to go before my first scan.. Feels like years in these first 3 weeks.

I’ve just seen PUPO and learnt what it meant and I love it!
I had my egg retrieval yday and those sedation drugs are the best thing ever aren’t they? Haha. Does anyone know if/when the bloating goes down? I’ve looked more pregnant this week than my friend who is 19 weeks.

sorry to jump on guys as I'm still at investigation stage but struggling to find answers. So I'm taking norethisterone as due period today and having hsg and lap friday, been taking them since last Friday at instructions of clinic but the side effects have just not gone yet, still got 4 more days, digestive upset between slow and a bit too fast, bloating, nausea, sore boobs not going away its like bad PMS. Had this once before without tablets but BFN. how did everyone fare with the norethisterone?

Hi everyone, ok so my journey has been up an down and all over the place. I am quite impressed with how you guys are hands on with every step, I can’t even tell one injection from the other, I am 36 and didn’t want wait to long, I had an open myomectomy last year (2020) and decided to have IVF/ ICSI with donor sperm, so I’ve been on this journey on my own, and it’s not a walk in the park, I’ve never tried to get pregnant not even when I was married so I dont know how my reproductive system will handle a pregnancy or an attempt to get pregnancy, i had my first scan and blood test and my doctor said everything looks ok, and I will start taking shots after a while, I can’t say the name of the shots but I took them for 12 days (I think) I hate needles so I was assisted, my doctor is basically an Angel cos I didn’t know how to go about this myself but he’s been of great help. On egg collection I got 24 eggs, 11 reached blastocyst and 4 finally got 4 embryos which he would freeze After that I had a scan done and my doctor gave me an injection to shut down my ovaries, took me off all medications and asked I come back in 2 weeks for another scan to check the lining of my uterus. This last shot is the worst so far, headaches, some days I have a terrible lack of appetite, and some days I eat like a pig, I’m supposed to be ovulating today but I’ve had terrible headaches and fever like symptoms. My next appointment is in a few days, pls is anyone familiar with this process? Will be happy to get an opinion. Thanks ladies.
