Hi

I’m due to start IVF mid February depending on when my period in January starts.
Had a fresh cycle end of august which sadly ended in a missed miscarriage in October.
I only had that one embryo so will be starting a new fresh cycle.

Would love to chat to any ladies starting then as I found the chats really helpful during my first round.

Hi all, a real range of things on here today - this journey is such a roller coaster.

Sorry to hear people are having trouble.

I'm sorry, I've read so many posts this morning and on mobile so I can't remember who asked what but your follicles are definitely able to grow between trigger and egg collection as they would naturally, I got an extra two that way on my last fresh cycle.

RE: lining, I've had a similar problem, every FET I've had I've struggled with my lining, no matter how much oestrogen we threw at it. One of my cycles got cancelled because we just couldn't get it thick enough and it's so frustrating. Happily I seem to have no problems at all this month with the fresh cycle, I'm already at 9.8mm and I didn't even reach 7 last time. I wonder if some peoples bodys just don't react well to oestrogen?

As for me, scan this morning went well and hopefully on track for egg collection on Wednesday. I have 6 "over the line" (I think 18mm?) and another 5 not far behind that may mature in time. Just waiting for a call from the clinic to confirm.

Just got a call from the clinic my estrogen levels are high so it's a freeze all for me with transfer looking like it's gonna be in April

GingerBrummie · 22/02/2021 15:47

Thanks @RichmondLady1981 means that all being well the ET would be on Sunday, I hope they are open at weekends!

RichmondLady1981 · 22/02/2021 15:57

@MrTumbleTumble fantastic numbers! Great news on your lining too! 🎊 x

Nix49816 · 22/02/2021 16:14

@GingerBrummie yes my collection was today and they said transfer will be Thursday (3) or Saturday (5) so that would put you a day later on Sunday for a day 5 transfer. Good luck for tomorrow!!

Mancbear88 · 22/02/2021 16:44

@MrTumbleTumble it’s really frustrating throwing so much oestrogen at it but it’s not budging! But fingers crossed. 9.8mm is fantastic. I think you’re right my body doesn’t like oestrogen I had 42 follicles with my fresh but my lining only got to 6.9mm.

Its such a rollercoaster

Mrbay · 22/02/2021 20:11

@RichmondLady1981 - I forget about taxis and Ubers! There was a new menu released on the 10th and I intend to get fatter!

Yay! @Blessing12 - enjoy your drug free day tomorrow!!

@Motherofkittens28 - what have the clinic said? Is this your first cycle? Are you NHS or self funded?

@Mancbear88 - apparently vitamin E can help build the lining and pomegranate juice. Everything crossed for you.

Blessing12 · 22/02/2021 20:12

On my first stims scan my linning was 7.2 then 2 days later it was 7.6 then today which is 3 days later its gone to 9.8, I truly believe if your body wants to get going it will as i wasnt expecting it to have thickened that much.

Mrbay · 22/02/2021 20:15

@MrTumbleTumble - it is just you and I for collection tomorrow? 11 would be amazing!!! Fingers crossed

Blessing12 · 22/02/2021 20:19

Thank you @Mrbay its going to feel weird no more injections after 10:15 this evening.

Blessing12 · 22/02/2021 20:21

Good luck @Mrbay & @MrTumbleTumble on EC tomorrow, what a coincidence you both have MR in your user names.

MrTumbleTumble · 22/02/2021 20:30

Sorry @mrbay, I'm on Wednesday. Trigger shot tonight for me. Good luck for your EC tomorrow, hope you get a good number!

Mrbay · 22/02/2021 20:38

Totally thought today was tuesday!! Omg 🙈🙈

Rachae · 22/02/2021 20:53

Fingers crossed for egg collections this week! Smile Hope you're all doing well xx

Rachae · 22/02/2021 21:00

Btw anyone had more than one cycle and tried a different time of day injecting? I did early mornings before and doing night time this cycle. Whilst it's better as I'm not tired across the work day as much... Im finding the actual needle hurts wayy more as my tummy is more hardened/bloated on a night. Hardly hurt at all last time. Anyone else found this?

willithappen · 22/02/2021 21:14

@Rachae do you ice at all beforehand?

I do/did mine at night, around 7pm and feel it's a lot better for me as morning wise I wouldn't know my schedule much and I'm the furthest from a morning person there can be haha.

I started to put ice on the area for ten mins prior to stims about three days into it and haven't felt a thing since doing it!

willithappen · 22/02/2021 21:35

Sorry for the double post but that's my trigger injections officially done and fingers crossed I don't need another injection again! Tomorrow is gonna feel weird with no injections!

GingerBrummie · 22/02/2021 21:36

@Mrbay me too for tomorrow... eek!

Motherofkittens28 · 22/02/2021 21:52

@Mrbay this is my first cycle, self funded as NHS cut off is 35 where I am. The clinic said I should consider donor eggs, talk about a punch in the gut. They have told me to up my protein, stop drinking protein shakes and make sure im getting multiple different sources of protein a day and that we will see what the next scan on Wednesday shows. Eggs have a long way to go from 8, 10 and 11 though so it might be a cancelled cycle.

Mancbear88 · 22/02/2021 21:54

@Mrbay thank you I drink pomegranate juice and take vitamin E plus castor oil packs, l’argine, red leaf tea, 30 minutes daily with my legs up and a hot water bottle, daily 5k walk, extra protein, and I’m also on 4 times the oestrogen of most people.
No idea why it doesn’t work though. Hopefully it’s close enough.

Blessing12 · 22/02/2021 22:26

Trigger is finally done, i was so scared I was going to nod of and miss it, just paranoid.
I'm in at 8:15am on Wednesday nice and early.

willithappen · 22/02/2021 22:31

Are any of you having buserelin as the 'trigger' injection?

Blessing12 · 22/02/2021 22:35

@willithappen iv been taken buserelin for 4 weeks, i dont think thats a trigger injection unless I'm wrong! My last buserelin was this morning and then "trigger" which was Ovidrel I think its called.

Hopeforsuccess · 22/02/2021 22:45

@Mancbear88 maybe try googling femora vein massage as well! It appears that it increases blood float to the uterus!

I am having my transfer wendesday but i am worried that maybe the progesterone i am taking is not enough? I was so bloated on progynova but not so much with progesterone and i am taking alot. Last time i was really bloated and my breasts hurt a lot. Now it seems like just the weight is going up. Anyone else on progesterone ?
