Hi

I’m due to start IVF mid February depending on when my period in January starts.
Had a fresh cycle end of august which sadly ended in a missed miscarriage in October.
I only had that one embryo so will be starting a new fresh cycle.

Would love to chat to any ladies starting then as I found the chats really helpful during my first round.

Hi girls

Anyone else feel really sick after trigger, I did mine last night at 8pm. Today I feel so awful

Mrbay · 21/02/2021 15:53

@GingerBrummie - I've left the alarm setting to DH! But that reminds me, I just need to double check my dose.
We both sit and watch the clock with dose ready to go as soon as the correct time in struck, we go into go go go mode! Like a few additional seconds past trigger time will mess it all up!
I would keep hold of the unused drugs, but do return the sharps box.

@pansy222 - I really cannot remember as it's been nearly a year since my last trigger but it so many hormones thrown at your body at once so it does do weird and wonderful things. Keep your fluids up and just double check symptoms against OHSS just in case

Kitttycatt · 21/02/2021 16:11

Thanks! @Mrbay @RichmondLady1981 @GingerBrummie @CLP20

@CLP20 I still feel bloated and tender. However, I'm not wincing every time I sit down/get up and can walk faster than a snail's pace. By yesterday I did feel a lot better. Have your clinic been in touch to check up on you and not just your embryos? If not, maybe speak to a nurse. As I said mine were not concerned with mild symptoms. Best of luck tomorrow, my transfer felt like a breeze compared to EC.

Kitttycatt · 21/02/2021 16:12

@Pansy222 I felt a tiny bit nauseous after I took it but I think it was more nerves for me. Give your clinic a call if you are concerned x

ThePurpleFairy · 21/02/2021 16:59

@Nix49816 I know what you mean, though my journey is a bit strange in that I’ve never TTC naturally before because I’ve always known we would need to do this to prevent passing on the genetic condition. I feel like a bit of an imposter in some ways as I’ve never had that hurt but PGD does take a long time (we started the process in August 2018) so I do feel like I’ve been robbed of TTC naturally in some way or other. It takes a lot of restraint some months when the waiting gets to me not to just try rolling the dice and hope for the best, but we’ve come this far now, unless it goes really wrong I’ll be seeing it through.

Wishing those who had their EC a speedy recovery and sending good luck vibes for all those triggering in the next few days.

Let’s hope for some hopeful news on the lockdown review tomorrow

IVFat43 · 21/02/2021 17:05

Has anyone had PGT-A testing, if so how long did it take for the results? I’m getting really restless waiting..

CLP20 · 21/02/2021 17:53

@Kitttycatt Thanks, that’s reassuring to know.
My clinic called and checked on me the next day but I was still quite ill from the sedation and they didn’t seem concerned about the bloating then. Saturday’s update was just a message. They have obviously said contact them if symptoms get worse. I might call them tomorrow morning before I go in. It’s just hard when you don’t know if this is something to be concerned about or if it’s fairly normal and you are just overreacting! 😆

Good luck to those who have Scans tomorrow and EC, i just did my last lot of stims, scan tomorrow and fingers crossed trigger will be in the evening and EC on Wednesday.
Iv been drinking protein shakes all weekend im going to turn into a shake I think.

It feels weird that its finally coming to an end with the injections, 2 weeks ago I was wishing the weeks away now we are finally here.

Fingers crossed and prays for everyone 🙏

RichmondLady1981 · 21/02/2021 20:27

@Blessing12 and @MrTumbleTumble I think we are the same... scans tomorrow and Possibly EC Wednesday. I know... we are finally here!

Praying for you ladies- lots of good sleep tonight everyone! 💤

Melissa1983 · 21/02/2021 20:52

@Hopeforsuccess thanks for explaining, I like to know what's happening going forward and my clinic explain only when you get to that stage. Not looking forward to tablets and pessaries for 12 weeks.

I have really strong lower back pain tonight and I'm sure it's the meds, has anyone else had this?

@ThePurpleFairy this will be my first transfer too which is a FET. I had an operation a year ago on my ovaries so Egg collection was over a year ago and it's took a while to get here. I've tried doing two natural cycles but there was always something holding me back.

Good luck to everyone having egg collections this week. There will be a good few of us having transfers around the same time xx

Blessing12 · 21/02/2021 21:30

@Melissa1983 I have had lower back pain, more of a really bad ache feeling but its only been tonight on my last night of meds, im hoping its a sign that follicles have grown and ready, or its just the meds.

willithappen · 22/02/2021 07:40

@RichmondLady1981 @Blessing12 @MrTumbleTumble I'm with you three also with scan today and EC Wednesday!

RichmondLady1981 · 22/02/2021 07:58

Ahhh perfect @willithappen! We are in this together. 🤗 Good luck today- keep us posted x x
@Blessing12 @MrTumbleTumble 💕

MrTumbleTumble · 22/02/2021 08:05

Good luck for today for everyone - those going through EC and going for scans.

I'm so happy there are so many of us on the same timescale - @RichmondLady1981 @Blessing12 @willithappen hope the scans all go well and EC goes ahead on Wednesday as planned.

Hop27 · 22/02/2021 08:24

@Hop27 well done that's amazing

Motherofkittens28 · 22/02/2021 09:50

Congratulations @Hop27 thats wonderful!

GingerBrummie · 22/02/2021 10:06

@Hop27 brilliant & thanks for letting us know. You must have had very early app time! Mine is at 8.15am tomorrow & my husband will need to collect me but no idea what time to tell him to come? They said op last 45mins & 2hrs for “waking up” post general anaesthesia. I guess around 11.15. Good luck to everyone for this week X

RichmondLady1981 · 22/02/2021 10:07

Amazing news @Hop27- so excited for you.

I’m all scanned and done too. I still have 5 eggs for collection. 4 of them range from 19-23mm. One of them has slowed down and stayed at 13.5/14 but might catch up. The issue with this smaller follicle is its hiding a bit and they had to press down on my pelvis to scan it. They said that they will have to do the same (put pressure on my pelvis) during egg collection as it’s squished between my uterus and Vaginal canal, but if it’s tricky they won’t try to perform any over courageous acts as could it cause a bleed.

So 4... possibly 5 for me. Still happy with that.

Trigger shots tonight at 9pm. Lots of alarms set

X x

hopefulhel · 22/02/2021 10:08

Morning ladies so just had my scan. Follicles are measuring good, the nurse said I responded very well considering it's my first cycle. She mentioned it's looking like egg collection on Wednesday but the clinic will confirm later. Not sure if it will be a fresh or frozen transfer yet. Will all depend on my blood results.

RichmondLady1981 · 22/02/2021 10:10

Annoyingly, I have to go to the clinic tomorrow alone as my husband has to drop our toddler off at nursery at 8am (earliest it opens). It’s the only childcare we have. I have to be at the clinic at 830am for a 9am EC. He will follow behind me but I won’t see him until after the procedure. 😬
