Hi

I’m due to start IVF mid February depending on when my period in January starts.
Had a fresh cycle end of august which sadly ended in a missed miscarriage in October.
I only had that one embryo so will be starting a new fresh cycle.

Would love to chat to any ladies starting then as I found the chats really helpful during my first round.

@Hop27 bless you. This is my first ever cycle so I can only imagine how painful it must have been. All I can say is that your specialist will have learnt so much from your first cycle. As hard as it is, try and have faith in the changes that have been made and that they will deliver for you. Everything crossed- good luck x

GingerBrummie · 19/02/2021 22:13

@Hop27 no nail varnish for EC, they should have given you some guidance? Mine said no varnish, perfume, deodorant etc... embryos dont like it! Im going au natural!

Hopeforsuccess · 19/02/2021 23:13

@Melissa1983 hi your lining is great! You need to take progesterone for at least 5 full days before transfer so depends when they are starting tne progesterone. Also transfer can be up to a week after ovulation roughly between day 10 to 22 of your cycle! You will Have to take progynova and cyclogest for up to 8 to 12 weeks pregnancy (depends on the clinic and what they say) if the transfer is successful.
@RichmondLady1981 thank you so much! Yes i will try to do it at home on the day and pay a bit extra or next day. I want to be as calm as possible!
Started progesterone today lubion and cyclogest snd that definitely makes you tired.

Mrbay · 19/02/2021 23:40

@Rachae - buserelin is the devil!!!

@nix49816 - that'll be because the lead ones are the most mature and they don't want to lose the ones your body is selecting as the best.

@hopeforsuccess - I normally have a little sleep and then take the dog out for a walk.

@RichmondLady1981 - all that gin but no tonic!!
I know I so fed up with changing, thankfully wfh so not so much of an issue!
The things we do to make sure our ovaries cannot hide!
We watched an instagram video from our clinic and the consultant said to make sure that they are not over storing as you want fresh. But he'll leave it alone for 2 days so one it doesn't fall of and 2 his men can get their shit together and check for directions 🤣🤣

@melissa1983 - it's been so long since I've done a FT, I couldn't tell you, sorry! But the 2nd will come around soon enough ❤

Mrbay · 19/02/2021 23:47

@richmondlady1981 - proper laughing at your friend's fella - smurf vag - brilliant!!
Yeah, thankfully I am very regular but normally full of shit!
I was on long but I cannot recall the stimms I use, they were in a pre filled pen but they were at the max dose due to low AMH. For our final NHS cycle, the consultant said they is no point stressing my body as we no we get low eggs, so let's go low stimms as less drugs are better. The real proof will be on Tuesday and then Wednesday.

Yes sooooo tired!!! Its normally within a few days after your last shot, so by the middle of next week you'll start to feel some what normal, plus you'll be getting a progesterone rise from the trigger. I ask LOTS of questions!!

GingerBrummie · 20/02/2021 10:40

Morning all,
So my husband “offloaded” very early this morning & our EC is at 8.15am on Tues. this is 3 days break & clinic said 2-5 days so I think we should be good. The clinic also said no sex but we did this morning (whoops) but I cannot imagine it would be a problem? They are probably worried I could ovulate early & somehow get pregnant & have 18 babies? Even though Im technically infertile?! Either way, Im not going to stress but no more sex for me! I did ask what are the chances I could ovulate before EC & she said almost impossible as Im taking buserelin.

Anjenla · 20/02/2021 11:45

@Mrbay I told the Husbo about making me laugh during ET- he’s trying to work out how to suddenly become funny!

@RichmondLady1981- thanks. So pleased with the numbers. The embryologist called today and 12 out of 12 have fertilised! Yaaaaaaaay!

ThePurpleFairy · 20/02/2021 14:51

Eep AF is on her way for me. I think tomorrow will probably be CD1 or Monday latest. It’s happening 😬

thetallgirl · 20/02/2021 18:03

@Anjenla wow that's great news! Congrats Hoping they all develop well over the next 5 days.

FirstTimeIVFers · 20/02/2021 18:52

Currently waiting for my first lot of stim injections to get to room temp to jab them into my leg.
Is it weird to be excited to have a injection? Haha. I feel like it’s all real now. Fingers crossed for a successful cycle.

Nix49816 · 20/02/2021 19:08

Good luck @FirstTimeIVFers yes it is exciting having the meds ready, suddenly all the planning feels real!

I've got egg collection on Monday and feeling really nervous for the first time in case the next week does go well 😔 Been trying not to think about the outcome, just getting through the process but it's getting hard not to be hopeful now.

ThePurpleFairy · 20/02/2021 19:22

@Nix49816 good luck for Monday, one step at a time, don’t focus too far ahead or you’ll overwhelm yourself. You’re doing great so far

I’m quite behind on everybody’s individual journeys but it looks like we’re having a lot of egg collections this week. Fingers crossed everyone gets the results they’re hoping for and a good haul of eggies

My shopping just came and POM juice firmly in the fridge. I guess I start drinking that next week sometime

hopefulhel · 20/02/2021 20:24

Evening ladies, glad to see that scans went well for people this week. Thankfully I'm not as bloated today. Day eight of stims done. Trying to keep hydrated and hoping all goes well on Monday at my scan.

Nix49816 · 20/02/2021 20:37

Thanks @ThePurpleFairy, I know trying to take it day by day. Trigger shot just done so clock watching now until Monday!

Is this your first cycle?

Pansy222 · 21/02/2021 06:35

Hey ladies it seems a lot of us are EC tomorrow, me included. Hope your all well xx

MrTumbleTumble · 21/02/2021 08:46

Good luck to everyone that is having EC tomorrow!

There's quite a few of us doing EC next week. I've got a scan in the morning which will hopefully tell us which day I'm going for EC - Should be Wednesday or Friday.

ThePurpleFairy · 21/02/2021 09:39

@Nix49816 aww I remember the nerves well, honestly it was fine and I am the most nervous patient ever. This is my first cycle but first FET if that makes sense? I had EC in October but because I’m testing for a genetic condition all my embryos have to be biopsied and frozen, so FET for me is first transfer

Nix49816 · 21/02/2021 09:51

@ThePurpleFairy that must have been such a long wait for you!! Do you have an idea when you'll be ready for transfer? I was gutted not to start in January coz my fiance's Dr messed up his test 4 times and pushed us back another month! I think the waiting is the hardest part in all of this TTC naturally and then once you get on the IVF train you think you're there but it's still more waiting!

Good look to everyone for tomorrow and later in the week, hope we all get some good ones to bring us one step closer!

GingerBrummie · 21/02/2021 11:12

Echo that, best of luck to everyone in the coming week Smile

Motherofkittens28 · 21/02/2021 11:13

Good luck to everyone with EC tomorrow, fingers crossed everyone gets a good haul of top quality eggs! Mine is currently scheduled for Friday if all goes well with the scan tomorrow and Wednesday.

Kitttycatt · 21/02/2021 12:54

Hi everyone

Busy week next week, good luck to everyone with any scans, transfers and egg collections.

I had my transfer yesterday. They put back a hatching blastocyst and we had a call this morning to say 3 more had caught up and have been frozen. So really happy 😊 now the waiting game begins!!

@Anjenla great fertilisation rate!!

@CLP20 how are you feeling now?

RichmondLady1981 · 21/02/2021 13:02

Huge amounts of luck and baby dust to everyone going to have EC or transfers this coming week!

Great news @Kitttycatt and congratulations on being PUPO!!

I have one more scan tomorrow morning to confirm when EC will be. Hopefully I’ll trigger tomorrow eve and EC on Wednesday.

Anyone else having dual tigger shots? (A combo of two different drugs?) any idea why this is? I’ve written that down for a question to ask tomorrow morning along with WHERE I need to do the shot- leg or tummy. 🖊
Suprecur 1ml and ovitrelle 6500iu 🤷‍♀️

Mrbay · 21/02/2021 13:46

@FirstTimeIVFers - no, it's not weird, its an exciting time as you are able to make positive steps to becoming a mum! PS I found the leg hurts more than stomach, so if it is a bit stingy/itchy might be worth asking your clinic if you can try your stomach - good luck!

@GingerBrummie - I hope my fella did the same! Go you!! I can't remember the last time we did have sex, but that week was like pre married, pretty much each day! God knows what came over me, hopefully that'll keep him going as he has told me he is not having sex again until he knows it is positive or neg! Suppose it gives me some extra time on the housework - lol!

@Anjenla - just get him to fall over, that always raises a laugh for me!!

@Nix49816 - you have got a few leaders which is good as they should have mature eggs in them and there can be multiple eggs in there. Chin up, not long until you can have a guilt free drink!

@Pansy222 - very best of luck, enjoy the little snooze whilst the consultant does his thing.

@Kitttycatt - that is fabulous news, a hatching blasto is the ultimate transfer!! Hope you have a stress free 2WW.

@RichmondLady1981 - good luck for your scan. Sorry can't answer your question as I have a single trigger. I have a feeling that a dual one is a little gentler and stops the eggs from being sticky but I am probably wrong.

Trigger for me tonight! I am very excited to be able to close my little druggy box and stop the kitchen looking like a crack den, well a conscientious and clean one!
Plus it also means that today is the last day I'll be taking my extra vits/mins so they have done all that they can do now - everything is crossed for some good eggs!

CLP20 · 21/02/2021 13:47

@Kitttycatt Amazing news!!! So pleased for you!
I’m still very bloated and uncomfortable although it seems to be very slowly improving. Still finding it difficult to lay down flat. How did you feel by yesterday morning? I’m worried I won’t be able to have my transfer tomorrow.

@RichmondLady1981 I was given both Suprecur and Ovitrelle but in the end told only to use the Ovitrelle. For me it was something to do with the risk of OHSS with the HCG shot (the Ovitrelle) but I think there are other reasons to use the Suprecur too.

Good luck to everyone having ECs over the next few days!

GingerBrummie · 21/02/2021 14:48

@Kitttycatt great news & take it easy over the next 2 weeks, put your feet up :)
@Mrbay I also trigger tonight, I have so many alarms set! But Im also so glad of no more injections & drugs in the fridge. Im returning my unused drugs & sharps box, I know its a bit premature as I might need it all again next month but I hate looking at it all!
