Thanks @Bells3032. I actually measured out the 1200ul today and there was 100ul left again. So relieved. They definitely contain extra..must be for spills.

Bells3032 · 16/01/2021 19:13

I don't know about the gonal f but my. Pens for various things contain a bit extra to give you a bit to test with at the start

Gensola · 17/01/2021 09:45

Hi all, please can I join? I’m day 1 of my first FET after OHSS caused my Fresh transfer to be cancelled before Xmas. I have two Frosties and should have one transferred in about two weeks all being well!

AnnaM1987 · 17/01/2021 10:17

Good Morning Ladies..I’m officially out of the game now. BFN 11 days post 5 day fresh embryo transfer. It was my first attempt, I am 33 and had 3 apparently top quality embryos.. 2 still frozen. We have male infertility issue and we did ICSI.

Devastated, really don’t know what went wrong, could I have done anything better.. zero answers as the contact with the clinic is super limited due to covid.. at the moment only email correspondence and vague quick responses.. the clinic has one of the best results so I want to stick with them but the communication is really really poor.

Wish I could understand better what went wrong and how long will I have to wait for frozen transfer..

For all of you who is still on the journey, I wish you best of luck! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Lola98 · 17/01/2021 10:41

@AnnaM1987 I am really sorry to hear this, that happened with me on my last attempt too. I will keep everything crossed that your two frozen embryos are successful 🤞

Gardenlady543 · 17/01/2021 10:49

@Gensola welcome, I’m day 5 of FET at the moment so have a similar timeline to you I should think, my first scan is on Friday so nothing much is happening is yet.

Oh @AnnaM1987 I’m sorry to hear that, my first transfer was a fresh in November and I felt just like you, but so much of this is down to chance, I didn’t have PGT-A testing so they could be anauploid, even if their not it could be another genetic issue. I’m on my second cycle now (FET) and I don’t think they’ll explore other issues like issues with implantation, unless there are multiple unsuccessful transfers, because statistically this is all quite normal at the moment. I had to have my least viable embryo transplanted as I had issues with progesterone, the chance of a live birth was 36%, my best one the chance is 46%, so each time I try it is more likely to not work than work. It’s all a game of numbers sadly. Sad Be kind to yourself Flowers

hopefully21 · 17/01/2021 10:50

@AnnaM1987 really sorry to hear this. Maybe wait 3 days though and test again. There is a slight chance it's a bit early. Know how you feel. I've had 1 failex fresh and 1 failed fet. The last one was in sept. It's so tough. It's only your first attempt. If this is definitely a fail, take some time to cry and get yourself together and go again. My 1st cycle failed but my 2nd worked and I have a 2yr old. I'm on my 4th cycle now trying for a sibling. Take care.

hopefully21 · 17/01/2021 11:42

@Bells3032 thank you!

Gensola · 17/01/2021 11:51

@AnnaM1987 so sorry to hear this, take care of yourself Flowers

@Gardenlady543 glad to have a cycle buddy! I start drugs tomorrow - 1 x injection of Fyremadel and 3 x progynova pills per day.

AnnaM1987 · 17/01/2021 11:53

Thank you all. It’s super cruel process and I can’t wait some positive outcomes here. I’m coming to terms with this failure I’m only scared that the frozen will die or that there is something horribly wrong with me and I can never be successful.. but I guess it’s normal to feel this way.

Gardenlady543 · 17/01/2021 12:08

@AnnaM1987 I felt like that too, I was questioning everything, but while IVF can increase chances over natural conception, the chance is never 100%, as we keep trying with transfers the cumulative chance of success increases. But it’s a process and takes time. Please be kind to yourself, I don’t like the word failure, this isn’t a failure, try saying unsuccessful instead.

Don’t worry about the frozen ones, the chance of them not making it through the thaw is very low and if it does happen then you can deal with it then, but don’t worry yourself about it.

Birdladybird · 17/01/2021 13:12

@AnnaM1987 sorry to hear that Sad it is a very difficult process unless you are super lucky first go.

I'm taking my trigger shots tonight, EC is tuesday morning.

Mancbear88 · 17/01/2021 13:22

@AnnaM1987 sorry to hear, my frozen failed in December and I had the same feelings I actually asked the nurse if there was something wrong with me as a 5AA failed but she just said some do and just to go again.

Not sure on frozen after fresh but frozen after frozen I can just go again on the next bleed so it’s not too long, although as January seems to be lasting four years not 31 days it’s slightly longer than normal 😂

Sunbird24 · 17/01/2021 13:42

@AnnaM1987 so sorry to hear this, you’ll naturally have loads of questions about why but the sad truth is we’ll just never know, even though we did everything right sometimes it just doesn’t work. Give yourself a little time to grieve but don’t get stuck there. X

kikisparks · 17/01/2021 14:23

@AnnaM1987 so sorry Flowers take care of yourself and hope you can speak to your clinic soon.

unknownscot · 17/01/2021 23:49

@AnnaM1987 So sorry to hear this. Take all the time you need and be supportive to each other, if you are on this journey with a partner.

X

AnnaM1987 · 18/01/2021 10:12

Thank you all 😘😘 I think I’m okish now.. the wait was so stressful that despite the unsuccessful attempt I feel some sort of relief of knowing. Really strange but maybe it’s just all down to me being a complete helpless control freak who had ZERO control over the last couple of weeks..

I think that it was not all waste of time as we at least have two Frosties in waiting..

I have emailed the clinic and waiting for response. We were given 56% chances based on our circumstances and statistics and had top quality embryo so Gutted to have found myself in the unlucky 44% group but hey! Some of you brave woman going through few cycles give me strength and hope.. thank you.

PT8998 · 18/01/2021 13:57

Egg retrieval completed this am, I am over the moon with 25 eggs collected!

Now... we wait! ❤️

Bells3032 · 18/01/2021 14:08

@pt8998 25 wow that's amazing. Praying they all develop :)

AnnaM1987 · 18/01/2021 14:15

@PT8998 that’s great! 25 you have a great chance there.. I found it strange how the nurse said once to me that she is waiting to see 3 eggs and if they are right size we shall proceed to egg collection.. she said that there were 12 developing but for whatever reason, they didn’t wait for them.. I ended up with 6 as the other 3 did eventually catch up lol.. ended up with 3 embryos which all made it to day 5.. with 25 eggs you will hopefully have looots of embryos... I have everything crossed for you, good luck!

I just received a call from the clinic and my 2nd attempt with frozen embryo is likely to take place in 3 cycles... so April 🤞🏻

kikisparks · 18/01/2021 15:15

@PT8998 amazing! Rest up well, fingers crossed for lots of embryos!

@AnnaM1987 I’m glad your clinic has called and given you a timeline for the frozen embryo transfer. It’s always good to have the next step in place I find.

Lola98 · 18/01/2021 15:23

@PT8998 that’s really good! I got a call this morning and I have 5 four day embryos left but only one is top grade, 4 aren’t too great. Hoping I have some for tomorrow’s transfer 🤞

Gardenlady543 · 18/01/2021 15:33

@Lola98 that’s great news on the 5 4 days embryos! Sounds like there is a good one for tomorrow!

@PT8998 that’s great news on the eggs, I hope you have a nice relaxing day, I was so glad to get the EC done, bet it’s a relief to get those follicles drained. Hope they get fertilized and grow nicely over the next few days!

Emmalouise11 · 18/01/2021 15:37

Hey guys, hope everyone’s ok. Has anyone heard of the cyclogest pessaries and progynova giving a false positive? I know if you have a fresh transfer then the trigger shot can but wouldn’t of thought they could.

Lola98 · 18/01/2021 15:54

@Gardenlady543 thank you 🤞
