IVF Dec 2020-Jan 2021-anyone joining me?

Hi,
After 2 years TTC #1 we are now eventually on the IVF bus! Should have started in June but Covid put a stop to that and after lots of back/forth with our NHS clinic we've got our treatment planning appointment on Friday and will be on the long protocol so probably starting mid- end of December!
Would love to have some ladies join me!
I've been creeping on other IVF threads but haven't been able to fully take part.

@MF1981 I had a fresh transfer so my pain is still from EC, a week and half later and I still get a sharp pain when I cough, sit down too fast or lift my left leg up. It's lessening every day but surprised to still have it this long after.
Yours was a FET wasn't it? I would expect there to be any pain after transfer, perhaps a small amount of cramping/twinges when the embryo is attaching and implanting but certainly not painful? Perhaps call the clinic on Monday if it's still bad?

@onlyhereforthefood good luck!

@starkid great news about your frostie ☺️

Thanks @Kiza sorry to hear you’re still suffering. Yes mine was a frozen transfer. It’s not pain or anything like that, more just a pressure/dull ache.

starkid · 30/01/2021 13:36

@Kiza- I'm sorry to hear you're still in pain from the egg collection. Mine was like yours for around 6 days but is fine now.

TMI but has anyone else got thrush during all this? Blush I've had it since Wednesday and that's been worse than the rest of it! Especially with having to do vaginal gel twice daily too along with the thrush cream Shock not great!! Think from all the crazy hormones plus the various things being done down there physically... Sad

Kiza · 31/01/2021 19:34

@starkid luckily the pain is easing each day. Could you try rectally even just once a day overnight to give your vagina a bit of break? Or could you try an oral thrush tablet rather than vaginal treatment?

OP posts:
starkid · 31/01/2021 20:10

@Kiza - unfortunately oral tablets aren't suitable for pregnant women/trying for a baby, and long story short I don't have a rectum! Shock Grin hopefully sorts itself out soon.
1 week til the blood test, and I vow not to test beforehand! How long for you?

Kiza · 02/02/2021 08:35

@MF1981 how's your pain, has it subsided?

@starkid how are you getting on? OTD is nearing closer 🤞🏼

Our OTD is Friday but I'm working a 12 hour shift in the clinic (leaving the house @ 6am) so we agreed to do it tomorrow instead 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@JVB1 how are you getting on? Have your worries subsided a little?

@elsaesmeralda hope the scan goes well today.

@onlyhereforthefood how are you finding the meds, any side effects or all ok? I was surprised by how little the side effects were (except for the occasional hot flush and occasional banging headache)

@Kiza thanks for asking ! Feel abit deflated if I'm honest, lining is bang on 8mm. So it's there but taking a while, I have another scan the end of the week and hopefully will be transferring next Thursday. This part seems to be taking forever !!

Wishing you so much luck for tomorrow 🤞🏻🤞🏻

MF1981 · 02/02/2021 10:54

@Kiza good luck for tomorrow! I didn’t really have any pain - it was just a bit crampy and a dull ache/pressure. It’s all gone pretty much now and I don’t really have any symptoms at all to be honest. It’s kind of worrying as it’s making me fear that nothing is happening.

Kiza · 02/02/2021 11:31

@MF1981 oh that's good to hear, I'm the same as you but in my previous 3 pregnancies I only had early symptoms once, so I hang on to that for hope

@elsaesmeralda I think lining can take a while to build, what have they said they'd like it to be?

OP posts:
elsaesmeralda · 02/02/2021 13:16

@Kiza my clinic like it to be above 8. So got to carry on as I am and they hope by next week it'll be 9mm. They said it had a triple layer and showed me on the screen, not that I knew what I was looking at lol

Mesov · 02/02/2021 13:25

Hello all, am new here. Wishing us all goodluck on this adventure. I am 9days post ET. Started seeing light blood on tissue after peeing. Is there hope for me please. Am begining to worry. Did anyone experience this?

starkid · 02/02/2021 13:50

Does anyone know if we should count when we are due our period after egg transfer to be like before e.g. my luteal phase is usually 11 days, but is that all out the window after IVF? As if it's the same as previously, I'm due tomorrow... trying not to get my hopes up too much if I'm 'late'!

Kiza · 02/02/2021 14:03

@elsaesmeralda the triple layer is great news, sounds like you're on track and your lining should be nice and thick next week as plenty of time for it to thicken up some more.

@starkid the progesterone can delay or even stop periods so some ladies won't get a bleed until they stop taking it.

@Mesov I've read lots about light bleeding/spotting and it being fine, especially in the first trimester

OP posts:
MF1981 · 02/02/2021 15:27

That’s good @elsaesmeralda - mine grew almost 2mm in 2 days so sounds like you’ll be fine. Triple lining is good too - makes me laugh when they show you on screen and I’m like I have no idea what you’re seeing here!

onlyhereforthefood · 02/02/2021 19:07

@Kiza thanks for asking, I'm doing ok, but will be glad to do my last injection tomorrow! The Progynova is making me a bit nauseous but other than that no side effects so far!

Mesov · 02/02/2021 20:23

@Kiza thanks for your response. The bleeding increased today. Really feeling down right now though am still continuing wt d drugs. Testing day is Sundays.

starkid · 02/02/2021 20:26

@Kiza - ah ok thanks for the heads up!
@Mesov - fingers crossed for you xx

Kiza · 03/02/2021 08:40

We caved and tested 2 days earlier than OTD!
Still in shock that just 1 egg was collected but it turned into a great embryo! Praying for a sticky few months 🙏🏼🤞🏼

@Kiza oh my god that's amazing, and from your one lucky egg!! Good luck over the next few weeks 🤩🤩

starkid · 03/02/2021 09:12

@Kiza I've forgotten if you've said which progesterone support you are on?

MF1981 · 03/02/2021 09:38

Oh @Kiza that is brilliant news! Chuffed for you!

elsaesmeralda · 03/02/2021 09:49

@kiza omg that is just brilliant news to see this morning. Congratulations. That one egg was a fighter afterall ❤️ did you have any symptoms ?

Mesov · 03/02/2021 17:45

@starkid thanks darling.
@Kiza waooo! Such a great news. So happy for you. I pray i hv a testimony too. One embryo was also transfered for me. I pray it becomes my miracle too.

Kiza · 03/02/2021 18:11

Thanks ladies ☺️

@starkid I'm on cyclogest

@elsaesmeralda funnily enough today I've started to feel crampy/twinges/pulling.
If I hadn't taken the test I would've swore AF was coming with these feelings. Other than that no symptoms but then I've never had symptoms before until around week 6
