@Minster2012 thank you! And best of luck for the results! Dont stress over this as even in the odd chance that progesterone might be low there is plenty of time to increase it! I researched this extensively! Hahaha

ivfjourney5 · 28/09/2020 16:58

Thanks @poupou @Lemongrass1 @AutumnHoping @Minster2012 ! I'll take the majority that it's okay as he'll only be back towards the end of tww. Look how optimistic I'm being that they won't keep me on oestrogen for longer 🤣 I'm on the last few days of norethistertone now so I start be able to start oestrogen around this time next week 🎉

Fightingtobepositive · 28/09/2020 17:07

I’m sure it doesn’t reflect the pregnancy @eggling. But good luck 💜

I didn’t have to have a covid test which is odd, but was told to stay off work 2 weeks prior to collection.

I was also told no sex or hot baths during tww and to just eat as if already pregnant. I’ll be lucky to fit anything in, with how crazy big the bloat is!

Stay strong everyone in tww I’m half way through and it seems like 100 days (but also off work driving myself crazy with google) so obviously will go slow lol

Talking about bloat... does anyone know if any sort of laxatives are safe to take?

JandL2020 · 28/09/2020 17:21

@AutumnHoping that’s so interesting my clinic said no swimming baths or sex in TWW. I don’t know if I can swim or take baths now either - with the pessaries makes things a bit messy and uncomfortable xx

Eggling · 28/09/2020 17:53

Sorry everyone freak out over I've done another test and chilled the F out (for now anyway 😂). I keep reading into things as 'signs', bloody magpies are just taunting me now!

@poupou congratulations on being pupo! Sounds like transfer went really well. Hope you're feeling better now.

@Minster2012 I didn't have to have a COVID test but the ones I've seen look horrendous, well done for braving that!

@thefishthatcouldwish both looking forward to and dreading joining you in the wait for the scan. I'm hoping I'll calm down once it's confirmed by the blood test but realistically it's unlikely. Hope the next two weeks zoom by for you!

My clinic said avoid strenuous exercise, avoid direct heat on the abdomen (including pets, cue all sorts of contorted positions when the cat wants a cuddle!) and no sex. It does seem a bit random. I've not seen the pet thing anywhere else - googled as o thought it sounded mad - so I'm only half-heartedly following that one. Definitely walking etc should be fine though!

AutumnHoping · 28/09/2020 17:54

@JandL2020 it’s so annoying isn’t it? But must just show that they really don’t know if there’s any I’ll effects from any of it. Thankfully I’m not am much of a bath fan - unless I like to steep in it to remove tan lol so I won’t be having one anyway. The no baths is maybe on the presumption that people like them super hot - which isn’t advised in pregnancy but a warm one is fine so they maybe find it easier saying no baths at all.

thefishthatcouldwish · 28/09/2020 18:09

I think the sex thing is because your womb contracts are the erm key moment which can cause bleeding and in a few cases miscarriage.

I am feeling awfully guilty I had to lift a screaming tantrum img child today out of the doorway and only a student with me so I lifted them into a safer place.

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 28/09/2020 18:27

@thefishthatcouldwish
I’ve been at Forest School all day and had to make the area safe moving tyres, benches etc... none super heavy but I do keep forgetting to take it easy. I did gentle yoga last week too as I’m missing my usual exercise.
I’m eating and drinking as normal other than no alcohol and the must not eat from the nhs website. Xx

Minster2012 · 28/09/2020 21:53

@Eggling no pets on stomach??? Eh??? And pleased you are chilled out now!

@thefishthatcouldwish the waiting for the scan is the worst i think, why are you feeling guilty on lifting a screaming child? I will have to lift a screaming tantruming toddler A LOT in my TWW, he will he screaming at me 😂🤣I will try not to, but won't be able to not lift him & he will likely kick me at some point.

My clinic says they just advise no baths as if you could increase your core body temperature it's not advised and some people sit in a really hot bath for ages which can also make people light headed, but they also say it's really difficult to actually raise your core temperature so if you want a not massively hot bath it's fine.

AutumnHoping · 29/09/2020 09:11

Haha @Eggling I’m always looking at the magpies and fuming when I only see one - which I usually do Angry
Glad you’re feeling better now though x

Rumtopf · 29/09/2020 11:16

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip congratulations that's brilliant!

The weather is horrible today and I'm feeling rather bleak. I don't think it's worked again, I have no symptoms and my boobs have gone back to normal. OTD is tomorrow but it barely feels necessary. I could quite happily hibernate til next Spring.

JenniferRo28 · 29/09/2020 11:52

@Rumtopf your not alone, I feel exactly the same today, my OTD is not until Monday but i feel like any symptom i had has totally gone, my boobs we agony but not anymore. AF is due on Thurs and im so worried its going to make an appearance before i even get a chance to test on Monday.

thefishthatcouldwish · 29/09/2020 12:12

@Rumtopf sorry you’re feeling down. 💐
@JenniferRo28 💐

I have a cold sore now on face and look at NHS website which has me worried. I dunno whether to ring my dr or clinic for advice.

AutumnHoping · 29/09/2020 12:22

@Rumtopf and @JenniferRo28 try not to worry. Many pregnancies have zero symptoms. I had none whatsoever - felt no different at all so it doesn’t mean anything. Fingers crossed for positive tomorrow and next Monday x

JenniferRo28 · 29/09/2020 12:43

@AutumnHoping thank you :)

@Rumtopf good luck for tomorrow, keeping my fingers crossed for you :) How many days pt will you be tomorrow?

LJM83 · 29/09/2020 13:43

Hi all

I've had a FET today, it was a day 6 blastocyst. My fresh cycle in July was unsuccessful.

Whilst having the identity check bit I spotted a 'C' on the paperwork - I'm now really worried that means it is a poor quality embryo :-( I was feeling so optimistic this morning and now a bit deflated.

Does anyone know much about the grading? Am I overthinking this?

Argh - this is SO bloody hard, I promised myself I wouldn't think too much during the 2ww and less than an hour in I'm stressing!

Eggling · 29/09/2020 13:54

@Rumtopf and @JenniferRo28 sorry you're both feeling down. I know everyone says this (and I was the same desperately wanting symptoms) but it really does seem to vary so much. My boobs have barely even grown, only hurt when I keep squeezing them to check if they hurt yet, and I had basically no other symptoms except a bit of cramping which felt like AF. Keeping everything crossed for positive results for you both!

@AutumnHoping I'd happily never see a magpie again, they add such unnecessary stress! Logically I know it means nothing but i can't help myself.

@Minster2012 I'm pretty sure the no pets on abdomen thing is bollocks, so I gave up on it pretty quickly!

Blood test went smoother today and my hcg is 777.5 so now in the next wait for my scan on 20th October. I'm sure there will be plenty for me to stress about in the next three weeks 🙄 very grateful to have made it to this point though, can't believe it tbh.

Eggling · 29/09/2020 13:56

@LJM83 congratulations on being PUPO! I don't know much about grading to be honest, I did read something that suggested the letters (so grading for the cells that will become baby and placenta) was less important but I can't remember exactly what it said. People do have success with all sorts of embryos though so try not to worry too much - I know it's hard! I hope you can have some time to chill out this afternoon x

AutumnHoping · 29/09/2020 14:02

That’s great @Eggling! Hopefully the next 3 weeks go a bit quicker for you. X

@LJM83 I wouldn’t worry too much. As many will Say, they’ve seen grade C’s that ended in positives and grade A’s that ended in negatives. If the clinic weren’t happy with the embryos potential they’d not have transferred it. I don’t even know what I had transferred as I couldn’t remember what I had frozen - couldn’t remember if I had one or two As left. Or if it then went from As to Cs.

Goodluck anyway and hope your wait goes fast

UnicornPuff · 29/09/2020 14:11

Congratulations @Lemongrass1 qnd @UncleBrynsfishingtrip thats amazing news!

@LJM83 the letters are an indication of fragmentation. You hear about people with As getting BFN and lower letters getting BFP. The fact it was a good enough quality to freeze means that it has potential. Plus it survived the thaw so its a strong little one. Good luck qnd try not to go crazy in the TWW!

My viability scan is on the 14th so 2 weeks away and I am so impatient! This is literally one waiting list to the next! I am hoping after this wait that I will calm down and let myself enjoy being pregnant! But I am still googling what I should be feeling and worrying when I am not!

Minster2012 · 29/09/2020 14:42

@Rumtopf @JenniferRo28 another one in the no symptoms club when j got my BFP before so please don't think it means nothing 🤞🏻❤️

@LJM83 congrats on the transfer & as the others hand said often it's nothing to do with the grading of the embryo that makes any difference whatsoever sending sticky thoughts your way

@Eggling well I think you've proved the no pets on stomach is bollocks as you've got a lovely little bean in there 🥰

I'm STILL waiting on my progesterone & Covid results from yesterday's tests I've phoned twice & they said "you are on the call back List already". I can only assume it's fine then I guess 🤷‍♀️

thefishthatcouldwish · 29/09/2020 15:29

@UnicornPuff my viability scan is the 14th too 🤞 for us both

UnicornPuff · 29/09/2020 15:32

@thefishthatcouldwish how are you managing with the wait!? How many weeks will you be? On the 14th I will be 7 weeks and 7 days!

thefishthatcouldwish · 29/09/2020 15:44

@UnicornPuff I will be 6 weeks 6 days I think.

It is a very very long wait. Every twinge and pain or anything I’m in panic mode. I hope the scan will help me relax a bit and find out if it’s one or two on board and if it is indeed viable.

I am in work which is good but am struggling to sleep again due to progesterone I believe.

thefishthatcouldwish · 29/09/2020 15:45

@UnicornPuff you?
