@JenniferRo28 that could be a good sign the pain, could be implantation pain, last time I felt a sharp pain & it had worked but my friend felt nothing so it's such a head fuck lottery 😂our clinic say 14 days too but I don't think I will wait it out tbh not this time. 😬

@Eggling fingers crossed your bloods is merely just confirming your news!

@Learningtofeminist il sorry you have got a bfn it's so hard sending big hugs ❤️

@unknownscot that's sounds great numbers for you 🤞🏻

Minster2012 · 28/09/2020 08:38

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip congratulations awesome news!

Good luck @Eggling and @Minster2012

thefishthatcouldwish · 28/09/2020 10:51

@unknownscot wow that’s a lot!

@Minster2012 good luck

JenniferRo28 · 28/09/2020 11:14

@Eggling the wait is just awful, and I’m sure your right in hindsight it won’t have been that bad but I feel like time is at a standstill at the moment it’s horrid.

@Minster2012 I’m praying the pains were a good sign but I have a history of ectopic and it was stabbing pains in my side I felt when that happened so it’s made me a bit worried. It’s calmed down now though so I’m slightly more relaxed about it, I have had the tiniest little bit of bloody like discharge as well.

Eggling · 28/09/2020 12:24

So my clinic just called and my blood sample was insufficient so I have to go back tomorrow morning to do another. Really panicking now. About to go into a meeting but I think I'll go and get another test this afternoon. How long should I hold before POAS?

poupou · 28/09/2020 13:53

@AutumnHoping! Thank you so much and thanks for remembering! Progesterone levels were good!
My bladder was not collaborating and despite 2.5 L of water i had to wait for 1 h to be full! Transfer went smoothly and all
Is good! Embryo thawed good and its good quality! Its just due to the excessive amount of water i am feeling very dizzy and nauseous! I am still in the clinic as they dont release me yet of fear i will end up in hospital! So i assume i am PUPO now! The whole procedure is somewhat deflating as i dont feel different (obviously) snd they told me to test in 14 days! So now i am scared of what to do and that i need to take it easy! I am thinking of walking around an hour to go home but not sure it will be ok! How are you??? Any advice for these tww?

AutumnHoping · 28/09/2020 14:09

Oh that certainly sounds promising @poupou apart obviously from not feeling great :( oh flip you must have been so uncomfortable - I only drank maybe 700ml on my way there and I really had to go! I hope you feel better soon. Welcome to the waiting club haha. No advice as so far for me it has been completely fine. My OTD is next Tuesday which doesn’t seem too far away seeing as transfer was only on Thursday. I suppose just see how you feel when you are allowed to leave or if you start to feel better. I was back out within 5 mins so obv I had no issues and felt ok. The walk might seem a bit tough when you’ve had a hard time of it. But hopefully a wee rest and you feel back to yourself. Have your clinic advised yet any do’s or dont’s? It’s just hard to say but only do what you feel comfortable with at the time. Obviously you’re used to lots of steps but this walk might seem tougher after gulping all the water and just not being yourself

Minster2012 · 28/09/2020 14:17

Well the Covid test is awful 🤮😫even the nurses said they had to leave the room as it makes them gag 🤮

@Eggling that's rubbish but it's not a reflection on you being pregnant or not lovely. If you want to POAS it would 4 hours usually I think

@JenniferRo28 ahh I see and that makes sense. But I think it's good signs especially with a bit of discharge xx

poupou · 28/09/2020 14:21

@AutumnHoping thank you! OTD is not that far for you!!!! And feeling fine is good in my book!
They didnt really advice much! Act like your pregnant and no exercise at all! Light walking is fine! But again light walking depends on each person! Nothing moreee! I would have liked more instructions to be honest!
They said dont overdo it today so i will try to get some fresh air with some very light walk and then get a taxi to go home! I am Scared that if i walked too much even-though my embryo will be affected (very non rational thinking)! i am sure i will be good soon! I am just having a sandwich and juice now to replenish! I really get now the notion of keep yourself busy! Hahah!

thefishthatcouldwish · 28/09/2020 14:23

@Minster2012 glad Covid test over. No it isn’t fun is it.

@poupou well done on transfer. Try and fill your day up so as to occupy your mind! My nurse said to me that aside from the obvious things to avoid go on as normal. She said nothing will change the outcome and that it is down to the roll of the dice now.

Am currently waiting until 7 week scan which I’m finding harder than TWW. Every twinge Im assessing and re assessing. Am increasingly more tired. Scan is 2 weeks away agh!

AutumnHoping · 28/09/2020 14:26

I can check my handout from my clinic and their exact advice if that helps - just to see what lots of others are being told. I can’t remember exact wording but I think it only ruled out really strenuous stuff. If nothing just for peace of mind that your walks shouldn’t be any issue. It’s all such a minefield isn’t it?! But you’re over the hard part. Well kinda haha hopefully the 2 weeks don’t drag for you. As maybe @Minster2012 said before it’s crazy how the clinics differ with no. Of days to testing.

Ah @Minster 2012 sounds awful. I can imagine - I’ve had a feeding tube before and was gagging like mad from it was about 2cm up my nose. Horrific. But at least it’s out of the way x

poupou · 28/09/2020 14:33

@Minster2012 well done in getting the covid test done! I hope your results and the progesterone one will be ready soon (covid takes a day)!
@thefishthatcouldwish Thank you so much for the advice! I will keep myself busy with work hopefully and be hopeful for outcomes!

I know saying dont stress wont make it go away or you wont stress! This whole process is full of stress and anxiety and everyone says be relaxed! Haha! Take big breaths and keep going! Two more weeks and think That you already have been through so much! You are pregnant and there isnt any indication otherwise! I hope these two weeks until Your scan pass fast so you can get the reassurance that you need!

poupou · 28/09/2020 14:34

@AutumnHoping thanksss! That would
Really help if you gave more clear instructions of dos and donts! I would
Massively appreciate it!

AutumnHoping · 28/09/2020 14:40

@poupou - have a meeting now but will do so in an hour or so. Yea just good to get an idea and then you may be better informed to think what you will / won’t do x

poupou · 28/09/2020 14:47

@AutumnHoping you are amazing! Have a great meeting! And again thanks!

ivfjourney5 · 28/09/2020 14:51

Lots of congratulations for BFPs and PUPO! 🎉🎉
What advice have your clinics said about sex during the tww, hubby is due home after 6 months when I'll be in the tww 😂 (assuming I get to transfer this time) Obviously it'll also depend how I feel at the time, but has anybody been told not to?

poupou · 28/09/2020 15:13

@AutumnHoping the nurse send some info over (finally)! It says " avoid strenuous activity and heavy lifting until pregnancy test". The doctor today said no exercise at all apart from walking!i feel considering my activity level before and the 30000 steps at normal rate i am usually doing i feel that i might resume the walking at slow rate in a few days! As others confirmed walking is fine and i am not actually exerting myself but keeping it slow!
@ivfjourney5 Sooo glad that you are in treatment again and its great that your husband would be back after 6 months! I can only imagine how excited you must be! My clinic just send the info: avoid sexual intercourse until pregnancy test. However this advice might be different from other clinics as i also heard to avoid it up To 48
Hours afterwards

Lemongrass1 · 28/09/2020 15:14

Hope this helps!

It’s funny how all the clinics differ with advice but I guess that just reinforces the fact that after transfer it’s either going to stick or it won’t and other factors don’t really play much of a part so it’s a best guess what is safe or isn’t. My clinic seem pretty ‘relaxed’ on their advice only abstaining from intercourse and strenuous exercise on the day of transfer lol

Good to hear from you @ivfjourney5! Glad you’re back at it!

Minster2012 · 28/09/2020 16:07

@Lemongrass1 & @AutumnHoping that's really interesting!!

@poupou congratulations on being PUPO! Yes I'm now into the next waiting game for results tomorrow!

I'm pretty sure we had sex during TWW @ivfjourney5 and it's in the information

poupou · 28/09/2020 16:10

@AutumnHoping thankssss! Indeed i am so amassed of how different advice is! Its already hard enough for all of us and the differing advice does not help! But i agree with you completely!
In my opinion and from what i gathered from all your advice guys and clinic information from everyone, google, and based on publications you should not overdo it and give it the best possible
Chance! I think light exercising (except if its running and heavy lifting) is good and its advisable for circulation and in my case is essentially reducing my exercising! Regarding intercourse j think the advice of restraining was based on potential infections but it appears it might be ok! Thank you againnn guys both of you! I am
A lot calmer and relaxed!
