@Sunbird24 gosh well done super number.
@ChicaXS sending hugs sorry have no advice.

@Fightingtobepositive how are you feeling now? Been thinking about you today.
@unknownscot don’t be disheartened 14 is a good number. Remember it only takes one.

So went to early pregnancy clinic today.

Scan went well and saw a beautiful 6week bean in sac with pole...... and a heartbeat.

No sign of second one and they think that is what is causing bleed but if bleeding was to go red again and increase etc I’m to ring and book appointment straight with them.

They suggested cancelling my appointment at clinic for scan next week as it is less distress on foetus.

JandL2020 · 07/10/2020 15:23

@thefishthatcouldwish wonderful news you must be relieved.. do they think the bleeding was because of twins? As you said “no sign of second one”. X

Sunbird24 · 07/10/2020 15:34

@thefishthatcouldwish that’s lovely that they could see the heartbeat!
@unknownscot I know it feels like a big drop, but you’ve still got a lovely number to work with. Expect emotional is normal at this point, as our hormones have been messed about so much!

poupou · 07/10/2020 15:40

@thefishthatcouldwish excellent news!!!! So so happy for you that all is good!! I hope you can relax a bit and enjoy it.
@ChicaXS i understand that you might be upset as you have 3-4 less embryos but please see the massively positive site that you are 100% sure that you have two heathy embryos with very high chances of success. Also you are very lucky that you are getting more nhs funded cycles as this is not the case for the majority of people. The choice of whether you proceed with FET or a fresh cycle is up to you entirely! If you proceed with a fresh cycle you can pay for the PGS testing yourself if you want to get more embryos tested. Regardless believe me 2 very healthy and a mosaic embryo is very very good news. Sorry if i am not of great help.

Fightingtobepositive · 07/10/2020 16:21

That’s great @Sunbird24

Thank you @thefishthatcouldwish I’m not to bad. Very slowly on the mend I think 🤞🤞🤞. I’m just so gutted that the hospital would just discharge me and send me home with that bloody comment and now all I can do is wait.

@thefishthatcouldwish that’s brilliant news. So pleased for you ☺️ Aw have a nice relaxing night now and chill 💜

JenniferRo28 · 07/10/2020 16:31

@thefishthatcouldwish that’s great news, hope you can chill out a bit now x

@unknownscot that’s a great number, I only got 5 eggs and only 3 fertilised and I got my BFP so it really does only take 1. I was really unsettled between EC and ET, my emotions were all over the place it’s totally normal but your in a really good position at this point so try to remain positive ok? xx

UnicornPuff · 07/10/2020 16:49

Sorry I have been gone for ages!

@unknownscot thats amazing fertilisation numbers! I have fingers crossed the next couple of days are filled with good news. Its always disappointing when any drops off though!

@ChicaXS 2 healthy embryos is brilliant. I am not sure what a mosaic embryo is? Would you consider waiting before your FET and having another fresh round? The reason I ask is if you have another IVF available on the NHS if you have a child from these embryos you will lose that NHS go. So if you did decide in the future that you wanted another child you would not only have to pay for testing but the whole collection round too. Also you said your concern was that you are 38. My understanding is that fertility declines with age as egg quality declines so if you do another round now and did a FET in a couple of years your eggs are still frozen from your 38 year old self!

@thefishthatcouldwish that is really amazing news. Do you think you will cancel your scan next week? What stress does a scan put on the baby? (Considering sex is acceptable surely a very gently TV scan couldn't do anything!?)

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 07/10/2020 16:55

@thefishthatcouldwish

Wow!!! Super news!
I have two early scans booked. One at a private clinic so my partner can come. CARE fertility have told me two early scans will not harm anything xxx so that’s reassuring xx

thefishthatcouldwish · 07/10/2020 17:05

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip and @UnicornPuff it is the trusts policy to only offer one scan as both are The clinic and the hospital said that the heat from the probe can affect frowning brains. Only if there is a problem will they offer two.

Fightingtobepositive · 07/10/2020 17:25

Can I asked what the earliest is anyone has been offered/had a scan?

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 07/10/2020 17:26

7 weeks 1 day is my first scan xx

thefishthatcouldwish · 07/10/2020 18:13

Mine today I was six weeks exactly.

Minster2012 · 07/10/2020 18:48

@thefishthatcouldwish that's so brilliant! 🥰❤️the first scan offered at ours would be at over 7 weeks so around the 7-8 week mark depending when the transfer was & availability.

@ChicaXS I totally agree with @UnicornPuff, I'm having private treatment due to a weird situation after our first IVF meant we've now lost our right to half our "only one" Nhs funded round when we were childless as we had to transferred a FET to a surrogate as I was having chemo. It worked, and so now we pay for everything despite only actually getting our embryo creation made on the NHS as a childless couple no transfer or any drugs even despite it being due to chemo. HOWEVER the cost of an FET for us is about £2000 now each time (this is our second this year now) as opposed to the £4000-4500 for the full fresh cycle & my embryos used are from 4 years ago. I'm now older & more hagged.

So if you have the option of a full fresh cycle now on the NHS do it & freeze the embryos, as you shouldn't also pay storage costs for a while (maybe 2 years dependant on your trust) but you also pay for that every year if you have a living child over 6 months.

I don't know about PGS or what mosaic is we've never been offered PGS or paid for it.

JenniferRo28 · 07/10/2020 19:45

@Fightingtobepositive I have my first scan next week I will be 6+2 days, and I have history of ectopic x

LKSF · 07/10/2020 20:02

@thefishthatcouldwish Oh I’m so pleased, great news! X

LKSF · 07/10/2020 20:05

I’m feeling very negative and shitty today. Had really mild achy bloated feeling and some pains that are coming and going so starting to feel like AF is on the way 😭
Hope everyone else is doing ok and keeping sane in the TWW 🤯

UnicornPuff · 08/10/2020 07:00

@LKSF I am sorry to hear you are feeling shitty! I really don't think you can tell anything till you test! I am one of 4 and my mum has said she had different 'symptoms' with each of us. I am now 7 weeks and have been on and off cramping and it really does feel like AF is on its way. I hope its a good sign for you but maybe if you can take a day to yourself. How much longer till your OTD?

LKSF · 08/10/2020 07:14

@UnicornPuff Thank you for the reassurance ❤️ Just hate all these mind games 🙈 I am 6dpt today and my OTD is on the 13th so only 5days to go 😅 x

JenniferRo28 · 08/10/2020 09:00

@LKSF your over the halfway line, I really really struggled the 2nd week, the mind games are awful, I couldn’t even sleep without dreaming of taking bloody tests. I felt like my period was going to arrive at any minute, in fact it still feels a bit like that. You never know what the result is going to be so try to keep yourself busy, I found walking every day helped a bit x

poupou · 08/10/2020 09:30

@LKSF you dont have long to go so hang in there! And no symptoms are better than bad symptoms believe me.You are doing great.
Unfortunately i think however i am
Hoping its not this didnt work for me. I am
10dpt and woke up this morning and had blood when i wiped. Stopped as soon as i injected progesterone but doesnt make it ok. I also had spotting on day 4 that stopped next day. I think this is the end. My clinic advised to continue and test on Monday and said its normal but i think my chances are very low. Anyone else experience any bleeding and was ok?

LKSF · 08/10/2020 09:41

Thank you @JenniferRo28 🤞🏼 Period and Pregancy symptoms are so similar, it’s so hard to tell and I guess I’ve never been pregnant before so I’m always going to relate these feelings to AF! My google history is ‘what’s the difference between period pains and early pregnancy pains’ 🙈😂

@poupou If the clinic advised you it’s normal and to still test on Monday then you’re still in 🤞🏼 And if it’s only a bit of blood and not like a full on period then I think that could be a good sign?esp that you had some on day 4! We’ve got this 💪🏼 Not long till test dates xx

This groups a godsend already I feel more relaxed So thanks girls 😊

poupou · 08/10/2020 12:39

@LKSF thanks i appreciAte it. I am not so optimistic for me due to recent events. I shouldn't have blood for second time. And my progesterone (i tested it) has dropped from 100 to 50. I increased progesterone dose but i am not hopeful.
I think this threat is at max length (1000)? Should we do a new one? @Lemongrass1 as you were the creator of both this and the one before i dont want to take this away from you but at the same time
I am not sure if you are still here?

Lemongrass1 · 08/10/2020 12:58

Sorry I’ve not posted in a while! I’ll do personals in a bit but here’s the new chat as about to run out of room here 😁

@poupou I have no idea what progesterone levels should be and didn’t even know you could test them yourself, it’s good you’ve noticed that though so you can up your dose. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you lovely xx

Yes definitely need a new thread, I’d offer to set one up but no idea how 🙈
