@OfTwelve i am so sorry for the terrible experience that you had with the nurse! But congrats for the transfer! Lining would still have increased by a few mm even with progesterone as you were also taking oestrogen!I asked the exact same thing today and also confirmed it through pubmed! And excellent quality of embryo! T

@Rumtopf he’s going out first thing to get some for me. I couldn’t get any earlier as it had caffeine in it. I’ve also heard lucozade might help. It’s going to be a long night :( xx

Not having a great night. Pain is more severe now. Hopefully this lemsip will kick in if can keep it down. OHSS really sucks ☹️

@JandL2020 I hope you managed to get a bit of sleep! Don't hesitate to phone the clinic back this morning, OHSS is serious so you won't be wasting their time. Maybe ask if they can do a blood test to check your e2 levels? X

@ivfjourney5 naff all sleep and pain was very severe a few hours ago that I was crawling on the floor. Settled slightly now but it’s because I’m not moving. I think the consultant is meant to call but if it’s not relieved by paracetamol this morning I’ll chase it up and ask them. I would hope for a private clinic a blood test would be standard procedure (if I can manage the car journey with the sickness!)

@JandL2020 sounds like you had a rough night. If you were in so much pain you were crawling around I think your clinic should see you today to check for OHSS. Good luck and hope consultant calls back soon. X

@JandL2020 sounds so painful 😭 are you able to rest and catch up on sleep today? I hope the paracetamol relieves the pain and if you don’t get a call back this morning defo call them up to chase x

@LKSF luckily yes I’ve text my boss say I’m not logging on today! OH has just gone out to get me some paracetamol. Feels like just abdominal cramp/constant ache now. Worse if I change position.

@Lemongrass1 fingers crossed I just don’t want to be in that situation again where the pain isn’t controlled - and my pain threshold is usually pretty good 😢

@JandL2020 try to be purposeful today, monitor how much you're drinking, and check that you seem to be weeing enough. If you didn't want to get on the scales you could measure around your stomach, so that you can compare later. If you have a smart watch with a heart rate tracker, put that on and check that it's normal. Keep an eye out for your breathing getting worse. My clinic we're really worried about OHSS because of all the eggs, so they scanned me 3 days after my EC to check for any free floating fluid in my stomach. They advised that I not lie completely flat when I sleep etc, this is so that if any fluid is going into the cavity outside the ovaries it's staying in the stomach, and not floating up to the lungs where it is more dangerous.

@JandL2020 I would highly advise going to your clinic and insisting on a check up - it is their duty to care and verify you are not suffering from OHSS (however mild). Your symptoms sadly do not sound normal. Please take care x

Bad news for me I’m afraid - I’ve had a overwhelming feeling since Sunday that the fet hasn’t worked so put myself out of my misery and tested early - and it was a BFN. Will call my clinic on Friday (otd) and let them know but I reckon it’ll be a while before we can do another fet as they are still working through their original Covid backlog.
It’s hit DH harder than I thought it would, but we’ve both had a good cry and are getting a Chinese take away tonight ha.

I’m going to check in every so often because I still want to hear all of your good news (positive thoughts only!) - so you’ll see me pop up from time to time! Good luck to you all and thanks for being my sounding board xxx

@HavingFaith I'm so sorry to read of your bfn, that's so disappointing for you both. Be kind to yourself today.

We've just had an update from the clinic that the 2nd embryo we had been told was doing well just a little slow didn't make the grade to be frozen, so the little bean I had transferred back on Saturday is our only one from this cycle. I'm feeling frustrated but hopeful as although it might be the drugs I'm feeling a bit different this time. Here's hoping as I'm reluctant to throw even more money at it when the odds are so slim.

@HavingFaith I’m so so sorry 😩try and keep positives and think of the embryos you have left in the freezer and the next time could be the best happiest outcome ❤️ It’s not over yet lovely!
It could of been too early to test though if OTD isn’t for another 3days? Praying for you 🙏🏼 x

@JandL2020 I was told lots of protein and plenty of fluids. But you should definitely ring. Hope you feel better soon.

How is everyone feeling? I feel completely normal apart from the booting, so already having negative thoughts 🙈 surely the first few days would be the days you’d feel something 🤷🏻‍♀️

Another question though, so usually I have around a 10 day luteal phase, will I still have the same time or is it prolonged because of the progesterone?

@HavingFaith I’m sorry about your BFN, for almost a year now I have been reading these posts and wondering when it would eventually be my turn and now I’m here in the TWW and I am bloody terrified that it could be me in your position soon, I suppose what I’m trying to say is although I have always been genuinely sorry when people get these results I think it’s just hit me this morning how close to home this is for me now and my heart goes out to you. Keep your chin up, and enjoy your Chinese tonight xx

Thanks for all your replies - pain is a bit more bearable now with pain relief but I haven’t got up yet. I definitely need shower (would love a bath)! I’m still going to ring my clinic to update them on last night and see what they say. I think every clinics approach to this must differ. I must admit I did shrug it off last night but that’s before it got really bad and I didn’t want to call the on call nurse again in pain tears cos what could she have done (other than think this bloody woman has woken me up!)

I’m sorry to read your BFN @HavingFaith. I was hoping to have a testing buddy on Friday 😞 it’s still early for a FET isn’t it? I suppose if you know in your gut. I would like to know either way now as well but my OH is insistent we wait - not feeling hopeful. X

@JandL2020 hope your feeling better! Definitely call them if your still in a lot of pain but I get you every clinic obviously have different ways of dealing with things. I plan on testing Friday even though OTD is Saturday (will still test then aswell). Mainly because I’m working Saturday and off Friday but reckon Friday will be pretty reliable and if it is bad news I won’t be worrying about going to work and have a day to sort myself out. I’m not really hopeful either just because I don’t feel any different.

Thanks @poupou. Tbf it isn’t even too bad - but the tiny amount is enough to annoy me and feel uncomfortable- not sore uncomfortable just annoying uncomfortable. You’re busy with the diff meds still - hopefully you soon get into the swing of things with them and it feels ok and you don’t have any/many side effects!

Congrats on the transfer @OfTwelve but a pity about the experience. Fab news on the embryo quality - didn’t even know that was possible.

Mine is 1st October apparently. That's interesting with the different dates isn't it! I actually have the dentist the following day for a broken tooth, having the test the day before works out well because I can see if I can take diazepam (as I usually do) for a severe phobia. I'm trying not to think about how I'll get through it if it comes back positive and I feel less comfortable taking the diazepam. Hopefully I'll be so excited that it will make it bearable without any. The medical advise is really flakey around whether you can take diazepam while pregnant, it technically says take it if the costs outweigh the risks. No advice on safe doses or how prolonged use can be.

@HavingFaith! I am so so sorry for the results. I was really routing for you. I hope you are dealing with this and both of you take some time to process it. Maybe you should have another test on Thursday or Friday as it could be late implantation? You know what its best for you and please remember that is not the end. As you said you have a plan for the next fet so this is good. How many frozen embryos do you have? Thanks for the kind words. I only have 2 frozen embryos and i am really stressed but i am taking it a day at the time!
@Rumtopf! I am sorry for the second embryo not progressing. Focus on the now and fingers crossed it will be the one!
@AutumnHoping thank you! Tmr staring progesterone so i am sure i will get used to all the meds on top of the thyroid testing/ meds!
About the transfer day i was told that partners are not allowed due to covid but i want to check again as instructions say that they both need to be there???

@poupou it hasn’t been mentioned although everything is done through a portal so I haven’t spoken to anyone this cycle - well with that exception of the scans. I don’t expect they will be allowed - but obviously will check when they call on Wed. If my husband can’t come in I’m thinking of just going myself as it’s an hour there and back plus the time I’m in - so time he could spend better working and not sitting in the car.

Will see what they say Wed.

@AutumnHoping i am also thinking of going alone as if they are not allowed in (as i think its the case) he will just take the day off sitting and waiting outside!
