@poupou exactly!

LKSF · 22/09/2020 12:50

@AutumnHoping My husband had to be there when I had transfer beginning of August, we both had to verify our names with the lab before transfer...I guess every clinics different though so best to just send them a message through your portal X

Alexm06 · 22/09/2020 12:53

@AutumnHoping my partner was allowed in with me although he decided against it. Now that Ive had it done I probably would have preferred him there. I don’t think it matters about driving either way. By the sounds of it some clinics are allowing them in some not.

AutumnHoping · 22/09/2020 13:02

Thanks @Alexm06 yea it’s like everything they are all different. Suspect will be good to drive as there’s no drugs involved - at worst it could be a little uncomfortable but as is plenty of things.

Thanks @LKSF - never even thought of further consenting. Will be interesting to see what their stance is. Given they were happy with online consents I would think they wouldn’t need him there but you just never know. X

JandL2020 · 22/09/2020 13:02

@AutumnHoping mine was allowed in but he didn’t want to. So I just made him and held his hand as our embryo went in 😂 Can’t say it was an overwhelming experience, I found it more emotional when got home and watched the video of the cells growing (OH was still not interested in this 🤣)

Got some chicken to eat for lunch but feeling really sick. Probably cos I’ve only had a banana for breakfast. X

AutumnHoping · 22/09/2020 13:05

Haha men are just aren’t cut out for this! We got pictures the last time because the consultant needed to do an ultrasound to get it in place. Don’t get me wrong, it was nice having him there but if I have to go it alone I don’t mind. Have had to do worse alone during lockdown unfortunately.

Glad you’re feeling a bit better and good you feel hungry too!

poupou · 22/09/2020 13:38

I have a quick question as information is conflicting. Are you exercising during the tww? And i mean walking and maybe low impact exercises? Or nothing at all! As i read that moving is recommended for blood flow but on the other hand not too much? Someone on this threat said that they were trying to exercise a bit every day (sorry can not remember who)! I am just trying to see the best way to pass these weeks when j finally get there! I am walking a lot currently around 2 h per day very slowly however as i am trying to avoid public transport!

AutumnHoping · 22/09/2020 14:21

@poupou I did the last time and will this time. I didn’t do all I did before. I didn’t do any core or much weight work (no reason just made me feel better not doing that) but walked, spin, some pilates.

JandL2020 · 22/09/2020 14:33

@poupou I would have continued walking but can’t do that now due to likely OHSS. If you feel your normal self then light exercise is fine. Pilates is particularly helpful for me xx

poupou · 22/09/2020 16:40

Thank you both @JandL2020 and*@AutumnHoping*! I was told to cut back everything but i am getting so anxious and walking might help me calm down as i used to exercise with weights and running! I am missing running so much! I will keep on walking and doing low impact exercises!
@AutumnHoping i just got a call back from my clinic and partners are not allowed anymore from monday (that is my transfer day) due to the increased infection rate! Maybe he will be allowed in your case as its a few days ealrier?

Evey43 · 22/09/2020 16:49

@HavingFaith oh I am so sorry to hear that, everyone is lovely but you especially so, keeping up with everyone. You seem to have a really good attitude and I wish you every bit of luck next time round. Do let us know how you get on xx

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 22/09/2020 16:55

@poupou
You will be ok and I would prefer my partner to be there but he wasn’t allowed. I had a wonderful chat with a very kind nurse afterwards and my partner picked me up afterwards. I’m just hoping that if things are successful birth partners are allowed but that’s a loooooong way off!

I’ve had no more symptoms since the spotting and I keep forgetting I’ve had the transfer!!! So busy at work which is good. Xx

AutumnHoping · 22/09/2020 16:59

@poupou maybe your clinic just want to be on the safe side and afraid of you over doing it. Last time mine just said no swimming (I think) I was going away for the weekend during the two week wait and worried about flying too but mine said that most women wouldn’t even think they’re pregnant at this stage and do all sorts. I do not suggest doing ‘all sorts’ however lol

AutumnHoping · 22/09/2020 17:00

Also no way re. The deadline for letting partners in!

JandL2020 · 22/09/2020 17:01

@poupou that sucks :( xx

Rumtopf · 22/09/2020 17:08

@poupou I walk about 14-15k steps a day with my dogs just not very fast. No energy for yoga or cycling at the moment, but I'd normally do a gentle 30min stretching session or a steady 10k on my stationary bike. I'm missing throwing my kettlebell around though. Wow, that's rubbish timing for not letting partners in! How do you feel about that?

@unclebrynsfishingtrip good that you've had no more spotting and are keeping busy. When is your test day?

It's frustrating that it's impossible to tell whether I'm knackered and having niggly pains down to the meds or if it's worked!

poupou · 22/09/2020 17:10

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip thanksss! I would have prefer him to be with me but well it is what it is! Its so good that you are busy at work and keep yourself occupied! I was thinking of taking a few days off but maybe just the first two and then go back to work as i would have a routine and wont go grazy! @AutumnHoping and @JandL2020 its just my luck!!!! The nurse was so apologetic! I think i will be fine but its sad as the partner is mainly excluded from all this process by default and this would be a good moment for him to be there! Well as @UncleBrynsfishingtrip said maybe during birth! Haha!
@AutumnHoping i will definitely keep up the walking as its the only think that makes feel remotely ok especially with all the oestrogen (iam crying with nothing now) and i am very constipated and bloated! Joys of drugs! Can not wait for progesterone side effects!

poupou · 22/09/2020 17:14

@Rumtopf thanks that is greatly encouraging regarding walking! I feel a lot more calm that others are also walking/exercising and my routine is not excessive!
As i said i would like for him to be with me also for him to experience this and be a bit involved and for reassurance for me! As i would feel better if he is there! But i will deal with it i guess! Very very bad timing and luck for me!

poupou · 22/09/2020 17:15

@Rumtopf i am so sorry that is so frustrating and i am sure i will be worse! How long until your test date?

Rumtopf · 22/09/2020 18:20

@poupou The 30th! So a week tomorrow Grin

Fightingtobepositive · 22/09/2020 19:02

Not long to go @Rumtopf 🍀

Regarding exercise, I was told nothing strenuous, walks are fine. I’ve only today gone on my first walk. Didn’t go far but will go further tomoz.

I’m so used to 2 hour walks with the dogs too so I’ve been missing my therapy.

So far I have nothing.. except unbelievable bloat, my stomach is honestly the biggest I’ve ever seen it. Is it the progesterone that causes this? I ask because I’m also panicking that every time I put that in it seems to deep out for hours after 🙈

AutumnHoping · 22/09/2020 19:30

@poupou and @Fightingtobepositive I have noticed I’m so bloated since I started the progesterone. I never had this before. And was constipated last night and oh my word the pain. Had me up a few hours in the night - no way I lay would ease it. Who knew constipation could be so bad?!

Fightingtobepositive · 22/09/2020 19:42

@AutumnHoping I’ve been lucky with that so far but can feel it’s coming. The bloat is crazy though isn’t it. My bladder is awful though I need to wee every time I have a drink, I also have endometriosis on my bladder so that prob doesn’t help with the weeing kind 🙈
Is it the progesterone that causes the bloat?

OfTwelve · 22/09/2020 19:44

@AutumnHoping I had constipation after my EC. I got a bottle of lactulose. Which worked very well. They recommend it in pregnancy too so it's quite mild

AutumnHoping · 22/09/2020 19:50

@Fightingtobepositive I’m assuming it must be as I didn’t have it with the oestrogen and I’m only on the progesterone from Sat! Hoping it’s not constant anyway!

Thanks @OfTwelve I will def look for that if it returns!
