@JenniferRo28 welcome to the emotional rollercoaster of the TWW xx

Fightingtobepositive · 21/09/2020 14:52

Thank you so much ladies 😘 🤞🤞🤞 although I’m already feeling to ‘normal’ at 1 day past!

Good luck to everyone in tww and at all other stages in fact. Let’s hope hope hope ladies.

Can I ask something? Who are having regular blood tests? I’ve had none at all since starting the whole process 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m worried now.

JandL2020 · 21/09/2020 15:15

@Fightingtobepositive no blood tests and I’m at a private clinic.think it really varies! Xx

AutumnHoping · 21/09/2020 15:18

@Fightingtobepositive I haven’t had any blood tests - currently waiting on ET in a few days - don’t think they’ll take any then either - they didn’t with my fresh cycle

ivfjourney5 · 21/09/2020 15:43

@ChicaXS I had a bleed (like period) 3 days after egg collection! I had a major panic and phoned the clinic because they originally told me it would be 7-14 days post EC! Great news with the 5, hopefully the others catch up as well 🤞🏼

poupou · 21/09/2020 17:12

Hello to all! Congrats to all that are in the tww wait!
I had my lining check today and its 9.8 mm so ET is scheduled for next Monday. I am starting progesterone injections and pessaries on Wednesday. And if anyone is worried about lining it does increase while
On both oestrogen and progesterone but not as much as before!
I have a quick question for the ones that also started anticoagulation injections! Probably clexane? Did you start on the same day as progesterone or 2 days before embryo transfer?

thefishthatcouldwish · 21/09/2020 17:24

@Fightingtobepositive yes I had regular ones with nhs. The only time I have struggled getting blood out was during treatment!!

@JenniferRo28 glad ET went well. Just relax tonight.

Rumtopf · 21/09/2020 17:36

@ChicaXS so glad to read of your 5 and another possible 4 is fantastic! How long does the testing take? On our first cycle which turned into a freeze all, because I stopped all the meds at the trigger my period turned up 6 days or so later. Hope it's not too painful and over quickly.

@jenniferRo28 congratulations on being PUPO! Hope the 2ww doesn't drag for you.

@Fightingtobepositive I've not had blood tests since the beginning either and we're at a private clinic. I'm feeling quite normal too although my heart rate on my Fitbit hasn't come down since ET and is sitting at 80 which is far faster than normal.

@poupou great news about your lining and the scheduled transfer! I started Clexane on the evening of EC and then progesterone pessaries and Lubion injections the following morning.

ChicaXS · 21/09/2020 17:57

Thanks all!
@ivfjourney5 what did your clinic say when you called them about the bleed 3 days later? Mine completely shrugged me off haha, I’m panicking for nothing.

@Rumtopf thank you dear! It’s day 1 and very painful. I’m used to painful periods but I can tell this one is going to be a cow!

I am doing genetic screening once the other 4 results have been confirmed tomorrow and it takes 2-3 weeks! It’s a rather long wait I’m afraid and I’m worried about my results. I’d be happy if 2 out of the confirmed 5 come back fine!

Don’t want to sound ungrateful but I do have a chance to do another cycle in October. I wanted to get one extra cycle in as we planned for it and I never expected such a high return. It also gives us a bit more a stress free environment as we are PGS testing which means some embryos won’t be normal. I wanted to do them back to back and then focus on the FETs with the successive pool I have. Do you think it’s a good idea?

ivfjourney5 · 21/09/2020 18:45

@ChicaXS the clinic said it was earlier than normal but nothing to worry about. I had a scan a few days later that was already scheduled to check my ovaries were calming down, and they confirmed that I had shed my lining. I think you should go ahead for another cycle if you had already planned it anyway, but they might not let you do it straight away, they generally like you to have two bleeds (but you've already had your first one now!) so you should be able to start again with the next bleed x

ivfjourney5 · 21/09/2020 18:47

@ChicaXS I've just realised the date, yes you would be able to start in Oct!

JandL2020 · 21/09/2020 19:03

Think I’m developing mild OHSS. Anyone else had this? My abdo is distended and feels really uncomfortable. Called the out of hours nurse she said to keep drinking water. Anyone else had this? x

ChicaXS · 21/09/2020 19:21

Thanks @ivfjourney5

I’m still confused though as can I start on the October bleed (start stimming) which means 2 bleeds (one induced with nothesterone) or start the nothesterone post 21 days of the October bleed (so stimming starts in November bleed) ?

ivfjourney5 · 21/09/2020 19:47

@JandL2020 water, water and more water!! Do call the nurses back if you start to feel worse. Weigh yourself at the same time each day as well, I can remember the exact amounts but if your gaining weight it unfortunately isn't a good sign, the kg will be on google.

@ChicaXS you should be able to start stimming after your Oct bleed, so make a note of today for your day 1 and you should be able start norethistertone in a couple of weeks 🤞🏼

JandL2020 · 21/09/2020 19:54

@ivfjourney5 thank you. It hurts as I turn onto my side. I would weigh myself although I am scared of what I would see! 😭 xx

AutumnHoping · 21/09/2020 20:15

@poupou great news! Not long to wait now!

ChicaXS · 21/09/2020 20:40

@JandL2020 you poor thing! Water is key! Did you trigger with HCG?

ChicaXS · 21/09/2020 20:42

@ivfjourney5 that’s amazing news to start so soon! So quick to start! My doctor initially told me 2 natural bleeds but she didn’t seem too concerned but I’m using another clinic and I just wanted to check. X

JandL2020 · 21/09/2020 20:45

@ChicaXS yes I did. I’ve crawled into bed with a pillow on my stomach for some comfort. I’m worried it will get worst. No pain killers in the house either. Felt like a beach whale just walking around, and my other half went over speed bumps earlier and it really hurt ☹️ Hopefully a sleep will help - it’s hard to know what is the progesterone or ohss! Xx

Rumtopf · 21/09/2020 21:26

@JandL2020 any chance your OH or a friend could pop round with some ibuprofen or paracetamol? Drink plenty and I hope a sleep really helps.

poupou · 21/09/2020 21:27

@Rumtopf thanks! I will check with the clinic when to start clexane again! @AutumnHoping thanks! How are you getting with the progesterone?

AutumnHoping · 21/09/2020 21:32

@poupou getting on ok. Small bits ‘leaking’ out which make me feel damp quite often. Almost like invisible discharge (sorry tmi) so that’s annoying lol I’ve some cramps this evening - but with pain too so prob unrelated!

ivfjourney5 · 21/09/2020 21:38

Quick update from me, AFs been a bitch and hasn't arrived, I start norethistertone tomorrow to force her 😂 yet more delays but hey I'm used to it now 😒 I moved myself to the Oct thread but it's still very quiet so I'll stay lurking on here as well

It's great news to see how many of you are PUPO 😊

@poupou im glad your lining got there!

poupou · 21/09/2020 21:45

@ivfjourney5 thank you!!!! And i hope AF arrives soon for you! i hope this round will go smoothly for you! Maybe ask to start on oestrogen patches alone with progynova for lining? Keep in touch!
@AutumnHoping i am sorry for the difficulties. They told me to do cyclogest rectally as there is minimum leakage? I am freaking out slightly with everything that i have to take/inject myself with but i am taking it a day at the time!

OfTwelve · 21/09/2020 22:02

So my ET went well enough today. My nurse didn't have the best bedside manner, so it wasn't that fun during, since I didn't really know what was going on. She was kind of knocking into my legs in the serious as well instead of actually walking all the way around me and kept just dropping the ultrasound scanner on my stomach abruptly. We measured a borderline 7mm at my final scan which was in the 14th, so it's just fingers crossed really that it's remained/got thick enough since then. The embryo seemed good, started as a 4aa, and matured a bit after the thaw to a 5aa, here's hoping it's good enough to hang in there!
