@HavingFaith I do mine every morning at different times usually between 7 and 9 but that’s only because I start work at different times but yeah lay down for like half an hour after it just to be on the safe side. Maybe do it at like half 7 I don’t think timing is a biggish deal with cyclogest.

Minster2012 · 17/09/2020 22:50

Evening, sorry I've only ready things briefly today, I'm going to take a step back from the thread as it's 99% sure after today my cycle will be cancelled now. After my brown CM the other day there was nothing yesterday during my lining scan but obviously a very underwhelming lining at 5-6mm at day 13 (so day 12 on estrogen) & today I started bleeding brown blood then full on red all day & small clots. So actually a period on day 14.

I've got to phone again tomorrow to give an update & no consultant was available today but they said if it didn't tail off then it's unlikely to just be from the scan & it will be cancelled. It's not, it's like an actual period. I have cramping. So looks like my body is completely screwed. I'm in bits.

HavingFaith · 17/09/2020 22:50

Thanks @zebra80 @JandL2020 @Alexm06 - I have to leave home at 7:10 so I reckon I’ll pop it in at 6:30 and then I can lay down for 40mins! Just means an extra early start so I’m showered at ready by 6:30 but it saves me panicking all day! Xx

HavingFaith · 17/09/2020 22:57

@Minster2012 oh gosh, I’m so sorry. I really hope your DH is looking after you right now. If there is a glimmer of hope, I’m clinging to it for you. Sending you lots of love xxx

Hello everyone, sorry haven’t rtft yet but finally have FET tomorrow... Was supposed to do IVF in April, obviously that didn’t happen, that clinic was in NO hurry to open back up again so joined ABC (/Create), did IVF in June but embryo transfer cancelled due to ovaries getting overexcited, only one 3-day embryo from that so opted for another IVF round, embryo transfer from that one also cancelled - 22 eggs in me that time despite reduced meds so yeah right decision 😲 but we did get some 5-day embryos from that. (At ABC they freeze the likeliest looking one at 3 days just in case none of them last to day 5)

... I have actually been trying for this baby since May 2019 when I first approached our original clinic to arrange FET to attempt 2nd child (I know we are so lucky to have 1st child). Couldn’t get appointment till July, first FET didn’t work, did another FET in September. During the September FET the first 2 of our embryos didn’t survive thaw and the 3rd one only just survived but unsurprisingly didn’t result in a pregnancy - there’s a

P.S. I’m really sorry, reading that back it all just reads like a massively incoherent ramble... Will try to read everybody else’s posts now.

KassT · 17/09/2020 23:32

@poupou thank you, I do hope the 3 I have now will be good enough. Hope you get on well with the oestrogen and progynova.

@zebra80 sorry to hear the result is not a successful one. Best of luck to whatever you decide to do next.

@HavingFaith sounded like you have your morning planned out nicely, good luck with your blood test tomorrow.

@Minster2012 so sorry for what you are going through, I hope your consultant will give you some answers tomorrow, sending you hugs.

@Learningtofeminist good luck tomorrow, I hope et goes smoothly.

Learningtofeminist · 17/09/2020 23:34

Okay sorry me again, have actually read through now and @OfTwelve fuck me, clearly I have NOTHING to complain about 😲 U actually felt quite 🤢 (not envy!) just reading your post, it must have been horrendous. How amazing ti have 12 though 👍

@Minster2012 I’m so sorry about your cancelled cycle. Completely normal to be devastated when you’ve worked yourself up to it and suddenly have the rug pulled from under your feet Flowers

UnicornPuff · 18/09/2020 06:23

So this morning I have a BFP!! After only ever seeing photos I have actually seen one qnd it is mine!!! I feel a little shell shocked we have been trying since Sept 2014 and it has been a really long time. I was pretty much resigned this cycle wouldn't work as we have not got anywhere so far. I took 2 this morning as I didn't think the one the clinic gave me had a very dark line. Is this too light for 11dp5dt?

Congrat@UnicornPuff ! Such a great start to the day

UnicornPuff · 18/09/2020 08:57

Sorry I didn't catch up earlier!
@HavingFaith what did you decide? I have been doing rectal for work which means it is mess free and dont need to worry about coming out!

@Minster2012 I am really sorry that your lining hasn't played ball this time. I hope you get a plan and a quick turn around.

@zebra80 I am sorry that it hasn't worked out this time. I dont know what you are on already. We got 'it starts with an egg after a very disappointing first cycle (poor quality morula on day 5 and too early to grade blast double transfer all others arrested) the plan for this cycle was a double transfer as they thought it would be the same. This cycle after many months due to covid so plenty of supplement time on day 5 we transfered a 3aa and have a frozen 4bb. The embryologist said they struggled to use the sperm slow due to the concentration and she didn't think it had worked which makes me think the supplements have made a huge difference. This is such a hard process so you have to take the time to make the right choice for you.

@Learningtofeminist welcome. And good luck today!

I have called the clinic and have my viability scan booked for the 13th October. So on to the next wait!

@Evey43 when is your scan and how have you been doing?

@79andnotout have you tested again or are you waiting till OTD? And is that Sunday?

Fightingtobepositive · 18/09/2020 08:58

Morning all. So I’ve been in a bit of a funk for a few days. I’ve had some spotting throughout this cycle and it’s continued 3 days after egg collection so my doctor is thinking to cancel transfer and freeze any embryos (If we have any🤞🤞🤞) she said there’s not much point in a scan because even if the womb lining is fine, bleeding isn’t an optimal environment for and embryo. it’s just so disheartening after all this time.

I’ve also had some really severe cramping since collection and seems to be getting worse not better? I was almost sick having a wee last night? Now I’m to terrified to mention it in case that goes against me too 😑

@Learningtofeminist wow you have been through the mill. Sending you so much luck for this round 💜

@poupou I hope you are ok with the med. jeez us women go through it!

@minister sorry you’ve had rubbish news. We are in a similar boat at the moment. It’s so disappointing after getting this far isn’t it 💜

Oh wow congratulations @UnicornPuff that’s amazing news to wake up to 💜

Learningtofeminist · 18/09/2020 09:57

@Fightingtobepositive sorry to hear your news, believe me I know how gutting it is to be told you can’t do a transfer this cycle - but no point wasting one of your precious embryos if conditions aren’t ideal.

@UnicornPuff woohoo! Trying to figure out if a pregnancy test was positive was the reason I joined mumsnet 4 years ago (obviously I’d been testing since way before the OTD so had got several negatives by that point 😏). So happy for you.

Sitting on a train coming home from our seaside holiday for the day for my FET, freaking out that I might have a temperature and not be allowed in (there is no real reason to think I have a temperature). Dies anybody else do this every time they go to the clinic?

Eggling · 18/09/2020 10:10

Congratulations @UnicornPuff!!

Eggling · 18/09/2020 10:10

@Fightingtobepositive I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you can take some time for yourself today x

KassT · 18/09/2020 10:11

@UnicornPuff oh my god, so happy for you!! Congratulations!!

@Fightingtobepositive sorry that you are spotting, it's probably best not to waste the chance until your body is ready to accept the embryo. Hope you have some strong embryos for freezing. I was also told that I might they may cancel my cycle due to slow development, so I know how your feel. 😔 hugs x

79andnotout · 18/09/2020 10:49

@Unicornpuff congratulations that is definitely a positive!! I'm so happy for you after all this time.

Unfortunately things have taken a turn for the worst for me, I tested again yesterday and the faint line was gone, and I've been spotting since. I'm guessing it was either a very weak implantation that arrested, or some trace hcg from the trigger. I felt a bit miserable yesterday but I'm ok today. I'm going to test again tomorrow as it's OTD but I'm just going through the motions now.

I'll speak to the consultant and see if there's anything we can conclude from this cycle - I want to ask them if they think my sealed cervix is a barrier to conception since it seems our fertilisation was ok. Given my poor response to the drugs but otherwise healthy disposition we might just try naturally for a year and then call it a day. Will take a month off to digest our feelings and make some decisions. The reality is I'm 41 next month and my line in the sand was 40 so it's probably time to call it a day. Our relationship is stronger after all this and our lives are full so we will be ok.

Sorry to those with cancelled cycles. I didn't realise FETs were so fraught with issues. That is another reason why I think I can't face going on with treatment! Good luck to all, you're so strong! It's amazing what you can do if you have to.
