@Fightingtobepositive sorry you probably won’t be able to have a fresh transfer but definitely sounds best to let your body fully recover so it’s the perfect environment ☺️ I would say to ask for a scan if the cramping and bleeding continues - I had the same after EC so they scanned me after a week just to check all was ok.

@Learningtofeminist good luck for today!!

Just home from the blood test and actually feel a lot better about it all! The ivf nurse took my blood (my clinic is attached to a hospital so usually you have to go the phlebotomy clinic for bloods) which meant she was able to mark it as urgent for ivf so I’ll definitely get the results this afternoon. She was also able to check what my progesterone level was on the day of transfer and as soon as she saw the results on her screen, her face relaxed! She said my levels weren’t low! My clinic like progesterone to be at 100 on day of transfer but she said every clinic she’s worked at before like it to be at 80, which mine was. Obviously they want it to be higher for a reason but she assured me my levels were definitely enough for the embryo to implant properly! Felt like a weight off my shoulders, so now I continue to pray for a positive test next week!xx

HavingFaith · 18/09/2020 11:14

@79andnotout sorry, I didn’t see your post before I commented.
I’m sorry you didn’t get another positive test. This whole process can be so brutal. I’m glad you and your partner have each other to lean on - sounds like you have a great outlook. Take care of yourself xxx

OfTwelve · 18/09/2020 12:54

Congratulations @UnicornPuff, that's the news we like to hear in amongst all of our hardships! It helps to see hope that this can work.

OfTwelve · 18/09/2020 13:21

There's a definite knack to reading forum style posts isn't there!
@Learningtofeminist - yeah crazy amount of eggs. I think I tipped over into so not well that it didn't bother me too much, I was basically just in bed for a couple weeks, my husband got all my meals etc., felt like I was just a human incubator, but I don't remember getting bored (which is always the clear sign with me that I'm not well).

Having read everyone's posts about different FET drugs, I'm now thinking that if my ET on Monday is no good then I'll have to make sure I'm pushing the clinic (ABC) next FET cycle to re-assess and throw all the drugs at it. I think my body tolerates them pretty well, so I'll just have to suck it up if it means patches, and tablets, and pessaries or whatever else. I only had 7mm at my last scan on 14th, though triple layer, clear and even. There was a 5aa embryo in the mix, so assuming it survives the thaw I guess I should just hope it's able to hang on in there?

My husband has been annoying me by subconsciously noticing me take a tablet, then a couple minutes later 'remind' me to take it. We've watched a show on sky called '2 weeks to live', in it a mother who lives in off grid in the woods gives her daughter 'pollution tablets' which are mints. I've said to my husband that I'd make him some so he could realise how difficult it is to remember all the tablets at different times (though it's simple on paper). Gots to keep it fun I guess.

Hi all, hope you’re all well! I will come back to do personals but just wanted to let you know am PUPO! 2 embies on board, forgot to ask grades as was desperately trying not to wet myself! Both thawed with 95% cells and re- expanded. One fully, the other not quite fully but still good. So 🤞🤞🤞 and onto the 2ww! X

Trying to catch up with everyone but been so busy with work!

@OfTwelve goodluck for Monday - hopefully all goes well and your doseage is just fine.

@HavingFaith that’s great - I’m sure it’s such a relief to hear your clinic just want to be extra prepared but your results are all good - and no weekend wait!!next week - getting close!!

@79andnotout oh I really hope it’s just the test and tomo tells a different story - sending lots of positive thoughts but good to hear you’re in a good headspace.

@KassT hoping that isn’t the case and your body catches up and you can progress this cycle - when will you have an update?

@Learningtofeminist - I hope today went well. I’m forever thinking I have a temperature when I go anywhere and almost feel all shifty like I’ve done something wrong. Odd.

@Fightingtobepositive - so sorry to hear that. I know how it feels to have a cancelled cycle. I was so angry and wanted to just try anyway but calmed down after a few days and realised it was obviously in my best interests to cancel that time. Hopefully you’ve the hard part over you though and can get going again soon.

@UnicornPuff that’s fantastic news! Just great - congrats.

@Minster2012 I’m so so sorry to hear this. Really hoping that you’re the 1% and it’s just some unexplained bleeding following the scan. Hope you’re ok x

@Rumtopf - good luck for tomo.

@poupou how you getting on with the increased meds?

My scan went well today. The extra meds did their job - was completely shocked. Transfer next Thursday all being well

poupou · 18/09/2020 15:41

@79andnotout! I am so sorry for the negative test and the bleeding. Be strong and its sounds that you have a plan to discuss things with the consultant! Take some to grief as its a loss! Sending my love
@HavingFaith ! Wonderful news about your levels and i am sure no you will be able to breath and not stress about this!
@Lemongrass1 ! That is great!!!!! Well done!
@AutumnHoping i am so happy for you as its a very positive outcome! You made me hoping that i still might have a chance!
I am good on the new meds I am very worried that nothing is working as i dont feel particularly unwell or have effects. I feel very lightheaded with headaches after i take progynova and slightly nauseous but nothing major! The patches are ok! I am just overly anxious and not managed to sleep much last night!
Did you feel any differently on the higher dose? And can i ask what was the increase in the lining ? Did you do anything different? Bring on next THursday!

Learningtofeminist · 18/09/2020 15:52

Thanks everyone, my 3-day embryo survived to blastocyst stage and the embryologist was very optimistic after the transfer (due to childhood medical abuse I get knocked out for transfers). After the last 5 months it’s definitely the hope I can’t stand and for the last month or so have been resolutely refusing to get hopeful about this but almost starting to feel glimmers of positivity despite myself...

One surprise was they told me I can’t swim! Never heard that before (have been in the North Sea with extremely enthusiastic 3-yr-old DS every day this holiday - now his father will have to swim with him Grin)

@Lemongrass1 fantastic news! Ignore everything I said about hopefulness - you’re definitely PUPO Smile

AutumnHoping · 18/09/2020 15:54

Thanks @poupou. So relieved - now on to the next worry haha. I didn’t have any side effects from the progynova and the increase didn’t change that - thankfully. So i know know that my lining was 6 on Monday and was 10mm today. So you sound like you should definitely get there. I was day 13 on Monday at 6!
No I didn’t do anything diff - I had good intentions of trying different things. I just continued trying to drink more water (which I’m not great at so people prob ordinarily drink more than I do when I really try). I think the increased dose of progynova just did the trick to be honest. And maybe more time - I don’t know if Day 23 is late for the transfer?!

poupou · 18/09/2020 16:08

@Learningtofeminist! Well done to be PUPO! Best of luck!
@AutumnHoping its great! Seriously! Such as big increase as well! And 10 mm is great! Well done!
The 6.8 mm mine on day 9 so Monday will be day 13 so lets see!
I dont think day 23 is too late for a transfer or your clinic would have go ahead with it!
You are almost there! Enjoy the very great news and relax until next Thursday!

KassT · 18/09/2020 17:01

@79andnotout so sorry for your negative test, I hope your consultant will offer you some answers. Glad to hear your relationship with your partner is stronger after this. I wish you all the best with whatever you decided to do next. Sending you hugs.

@HavingFaith happy to know the level is good, finger crossed for your sticky embryo.

@Lemongrass1 well done!! Hope your 2 embies stick, have a happy 2ww!

@Fightingtobepositive glad to know your transfer went well, well done to your embryo!

@AutumnHoping thats great about your lining, as @poupou said the clinic probably won't do the transfer if they think it's too late. Very pleased for you!
I'm hoping my body catches up too, I've another scan on Sun.🤞🏻 they won't cancel me!

@poupou fingers crossed for you lining, when do you have your next scan?

Hope everyone is having a great day x

poupou · 18/09/2020 18:03

@KassT ! I really hope the scan on Sunday will Go well! Did they increase medication? And how long are you on it? They usually giving it a bit of time around 16 days with FET i think! My next scan is monday.

Fightingtobepositive · 18/09/2020 18:28

Thank you for the support ladies 💜 but we have hope 🤞🤞🤞 I have an ectropion on my cervix which may have been causing the spotting so, so far we are still on for transfer If all is ok on the day🤞🤞🤞

@79andnotout I’m sorry about the test. Maybe things will change tomoz. But if not you sound like you are in a good headspace. Sending you lots of love 💐

thefishthatcouldwish · 18/09/2020 19:35

@UnicornPuff congratulations wooooo

UnicornPuff · 18/09/2020 20:35

@Fightingtobepositive I have never heard of a ectropion thats really good news! Do you think you normally spot because of it and just didn't realise/pay attention before? Or is it new and will turn back?

@Learningtofeminist woohoo! Congratulations on being PUPO!
I think I have probably had a temperature once in the last 10 years but my god walking to the clinic i am just like you and convinced I might be feeling hot!

@79andnotout I am really sorry to hear this. I think get all the answers you can from the consultant and then make the right decision for you both. It is so good that this process has shown how you and your partner are together.

@HavingFaith did you get your result back? It still amazes me how differently clinics work. Mine seem very hands off!

@OfTwelve I do like the tablet idea! Potentially dont give him tic tacs he might enjoy it to much!

@Lemongrass1 congratulations on being PUPO! Are you hoping for twins having a double transfer?

@AutumnHoping thats really good news. Its amazing how quickly things change!

Thank you so much for the congratulations. I still don't really believe it! Xx

HavingFaith · 18/09/2020 21:44

@UnicornPuff yes got results and the doctor was happy with them now so I’m sticking with the same dose! I’ve googled this to death now and it’s crazy to me that not every clinic checks progesterone levels on the day of transfer.
At least now, regardless of the outcome, I won’t feel annoyed about my progesterone levels. That in itself is a big relief, because if this doesn’t work I don’t want to have anything to beat myself up about (if that makes sense).

HavingFaith · 19/09/2020 08:38

Morning everyone ☺️ Good luck to everyone with scans/appts/update calls/EC/ET today!

@JandL2020 I think you’re one day ahead of me (I’m 8dp5dt), how are you feeling?

@Evey43 how are you? Has the chest discomfort subsided / do you have a new appt for another ecg yet?

@Rumtopf good luck with the transfer!! Which / how many embryos did you decide to transfer? Hope it all goes smoothly xx

@zebra80 how are you doing? Did you get an appt to speak to your consultant?

@Minster2012 how are you? Hope you’re ok and the bleeding has stopped

I’m currently lazing in bed waiting for the cyclogest pessary to do it’s thing. I felt pretty nauseous this morning but I’m almost certain that was to do with the McDonald’s chips I had at midnight and/or the dream I had that me and my husband were being killed 🙃😅

Lemongrass1 · 19/09/2020 09:11

@Minster2012 I’m so sorry. I hope the clinic can set up an appt with consultant ASAP to discuss what they can change for next time if you decide to go again. Hope you are able to take some time for yourself

@HavingFaith great news on progesterone levels, how are you doing on 2WW? How many dpt are you now?

@Learningtofeminist I’m sorry your cycle was cancelled in April, we were cancelled mid way in March. congrats on your transfer though! We were transfer buddies 😁 When is your OTD? Mine is 29/9

@OfTwelve good luck for lining scan on Mon. 7mm isn’t bad at all, in fact some clinics have 7mm as a cut off so 🤞 you will be fine on Mon x

@Eggling congrats on being PUPO, your OTD is the day before mine 😁

@SpyroC Welcome! Glad you are on your way again after before. Our clinic advise to follow guidelines and wfh where possible. X

@granddesigns welcome, hope this is the round for you!

@JenniferRo28 good luck for update today, fingers crossed for you

@Poupou your lining is not far off at all, I hope they extra meds do the trick! I’m not sure I’ve come across that many people with a lining >10 before. I thought it was >8mm that was fine

@Rumtopf good luck for ET today xxx

@ChicaXS great news on the embryos, hope it’s good news on Mon. Did they say how long for the PGS results and when you could potentially do a FET?

@Zebra80 I’m sorry about the update. I hope the update today brings better news than expected.

@Unicornpuff this is fantastic news, congratulations! We are hoping for one baby. As I’m older and the embryos aren’t top grade it’s unlikely one let alone both would transfer.

@79andnotout I’m sorry about the BFN, it’s all such a cruel process. Wish you all the best with whatever you decide next

@Autumnhoping that’s brilliant news that your lining caught up, great that you are ready for transfer next week. So pleased for you

@Fightingtobepositive Great news that transfer still on! Did they think the pessaries might be aggravating the ectropion?

Sorry for everyone I’ve missed, this is such a fast moving group! X

@Lemongrass1

Wow!!! You have just summarised everything really well! I just want to say hello to everyone and remember if you are feeling sad/stressed or worried then these feelings won’t last forever. Well done ladies - We CAN do this!!!!! Xx

AutumnHoping · 19/09/2020 09:31

Thank you @Lemongrass1 I hope you’re doing well! Good summary - I had to actually take notes yesterday to summarise 🤣

Oh @HavingFaith McDonald’s fries at midnight sounds delightful! It’s only 9:30 but I could do with that now!

Started the crinone gel this morning - I can’t even remember how I found it last time - hopefully that’s a good sign it wasn’t too bad haha though I know every time is different!

Rumtopf · 19/09/2020 09:46

@Lemongrass1 that was impressive! Grin

Good luck to everyone else today.

Just had a call from the clinic. Embryo 3 "isn't too happy" so I think that one is out of the running. Embryo 2 is a little slow but showing good division and progress. Embryo 1 is at blast stage and looking great in her words. We've decided to put no 1 back in, push no 2 for another day and freeze on Sunday and no 3 we'll discuss when we go in. I'm excited!

JandL2020 · 19/09/2020 09:47

@HavingFaith I had my transfer on Monday so I think I’m 5 days post transfer? 6 days to go until test day. Can’t say I feel any different to be honest and no spotting xx

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 19/09/2020 09:50

@JandL2020
Same here no symptoms, no spotting. Nothing but remember this is normal.
My test day is a week Monday.

Evey43 · 19/09/2020 09:59

@HavingFaith you are so good, I find it so hard to keep up with everyone. I’m so glad your progesterone levels are all good.

Yes I had another ECG Wednesday, the nurse said she’ll get the GP to check it before I go if anything is unusual. She did the ECG, then said ‘I’ll just show it to the GP’ 😕. GP said to go and they’ll ring me either that night or in a few days 😕😕. Anyway GP rang last night, second ECG looks fine. I feel they handling of it has made me way more anxious than needed. Still have the discomfort but they are thinking it may be post-viral, another GP apt next week 🙄.

Xx

HavingFaith · 19/09/2020 10:08

@Lemongrass1 love your summaries! I find it so hard to keep up with us all

@JandL2020 ahh sorry, I don’t know why I keep thinking your transfer was last Thursday!
@UncleBrynsfishingtrip yep, I think no symptoms is definitely normal. I still have a mild kind of heavy feeling but it’s always just been on my right side...my boobs are a little sore but that’s only since they stepped up my progesterone so I know it’s 100% to do with the meds. Are you both holding out to your OTD. I am - my husband couldn’t even fathom not following the doctors instructions to the T 😅 so no testing till Friday for us

@Rumtopf great news about your blast!!! Fingers crossed the second one is good to freeze tomorrow! Very excited for you x
