Morning ladies!

We hit our 1000 limit on the original thread! That’s 1000 messages of support and advice, celebrating every happy milestone, and being there for uncertainty and bad news too. Thanks @Mseddy for setting up our little cohort :)

Will try to tag the regulars, apologies if I miss anyone. @Custardandcream @nextweek @kikisparks @StayingPositive8 @Bruce2 @CardboardCat @MrsT36 @loulamay @MsNoons17 Argh, my phone is refusing to autocomplete properly - I hope that works.

Wishing everyone heath and happiness - whatever stage of the journey you're on xx

Hi again - it's been quite a journey. We had two failed FETs with the last frosties in Cape Town. So disappointing. Then we started up again, but in the Czech Republic, this time, it was much cheaper than in the UK. From the start my age was totally against us - we did three egg collections and had 10 blasts in total across all three but had them PGT tested and every single one came back abnormal. I got OHSS after the last collection which led to an ovarian torsion and had to have surgery to remove my left ovary and tube. After much discussion, we have moved on to donor eggs and are with the London egg bank. We got 6 great graded blasts - the first fresh one didn't stick sadly (my lining was a bit shit) but I've just started meds for the next transfer which will probably be towards the end of the month.

It's been an exhausting time. But not willing to give up quite yet - she just turned 3 so I don't feel the age gap is too much even with all of these delays.

Oh gosh that sounds so hard. I hope the next one will stick for you.

We’re lucky that we’re happily one and done, but equally I still don’t want to let go of our frosties, seems so final. Will wait for now, in the remote chance we have a change of heart.

Had my FET yesterday. Send me all your good baby vibes please!!!

Mseddy · 23/10/2024 19:14

Sending all the baby dust!! Totally here for your TWW if you need us.

I've got my baseline scan tomorrow. I'm absolutely petrified to even walk into the clinic! I think I've got some PTSD

loulamay · 24/10/2024 15:26

exciting! so you're going ahead now?

Mseddy · 24/10/2024 16:49

We decided to go ahead with the baseline scan and initial bloods and see our old consultant and then make a plan from there. But yeah I think we are probably just going to go ahead as if we wait a year and then it doesn't work I'll always wonder if that was the reason why I think!

loulamay · 29/10/2024 16:23

@Mseddy how did you get on?

Mseddy · 30/10/2024 08:18

Scan went ok I think, she wouldn't really tell me! Got my consultant appointment on 6th so hopefully know mode from there.

How are you feeling? When is OTD?

loulamay · 30/10/2024 10:03

I'm feeling great - OTD not until the 2nd but have been testing early (can't help myself!) and got my BFP on 6dp5dt... EEEEEEK!!!

Mseddy · 30/10/2024 16:58

Ahhhh so happy for you!!!! Sending so much love that your little bean sticks 💕

Mseddy · 11/01/2025 11:55

@loulamay how are you getting on? ive just started meds for my FET eek! scary but exciting

loulamay · 13/01/2025 09:12

Ooh great news! Remind me how many frosties you have?

Been a bit of a rollercoaster here - on the 12 week scan (was almost 13 weeks) the NT measurement was 3.6mm which spun us into a panic. Luckily combined test came back as low risk but we went ahead with a CVS anyway just for certainty and that also came back as negative for T21, 13 and 18. Waiting on the rest of the array which will take another week and a bit and also have a fetal echo at 16 weeks just to rule out any heart issues. Totally took the wind out of our sails because we were hoping to tell people after the scan but we're keeping it quiet until we know all is well (our immediate families know). Phew! Waiting on test results is the WORST. But so glad we have ruled out the main trisomies. We also found out we're having another little girl 😍

Mseddy · 13/01/2025 11:41

Aww congratulations on another girl 💕 sorry you've had a hard time with testing, glad there are none of the trisomies. Got everything crossed for your fetal echo and the rest of your array.

We have 3 all 5/6 BB I think!

loulamay · 13/01/2025 14:11

That's fab! All being well, when do are you aiming for transfer?

Mseddy · 13/01/2025 15:35

It's planned for 30th. It feels like it's all come around so quickly!!
Apart from the stress with testing how have you been feeling?

loulamay · 16/01/2025 09:34

Actually not too bad - the anxiety has far overweighed any physical symptoms and I was lucky that my morning sickness went away about week 9/10 (although weirdly came back in week 13 for a few days!). Now it's just sore boobs, pretty tired but at least my appetite is back! Am officially in the second trimester which is kind of crazy!

What's your protocol this time?

Mseddy · 16/01/2025 16:44

Second trimester already! Yay. Same as it was last time, medicated FET. So estrogen, ganirelix (was fymerdel last time), then adding in cyclogest and lubion injections. My clinic test progesterone this time around though where they didn't last time
