Morning ladies!

We hit our 1000 limit on the original thread! That’s 1000 messages of support and advice, celebrating every happy milestone, and being there for uncertainty and bad news too. Thanks @Mseddy for setting up our little cohort :)

Will try to tag the regulars, apologies if I miss anyone. @Custardandcream @nextweek @kikisparks @StayingPositive8 @Bruce2 @CardboardCat @MrsT36 @loulamay @MsNoons17 Argh, my phone is refusing to autocomplete properly - I hope that works.

Wishing everyone heath and happiness - whatever stage of the journey you're on xx

Hello everyone :)

@loulamay Oh, I know that "what if" feeling - I had almost convinced myself that I'd got lucky last week... but of course it was negative too. But still we hope!

@Bruce2 good luck with your 12 week scan on Friday x. Are you feeling any better now?

@MsNoons17 How is your FET going?

@nextweek Sorry to hear what you've been going through, thinking about you and your scan today x

@StayingPositive8 Hope you are keeping well lovely :) x

@Custardandcream have you had any luck getting answers to your questions re the next round? I found being back in the 'questions/waiting' zone really tough to handle - especially as, at least when I was downregging/stimming I at least feel like I was doing something!

I start my FET drugs a week today. It's a long protocol, northisterone, buserelin bleed, more stuff etc. I have been feeling pretty positive about it, although am currently struck down with a hideous cold. And am now worrying it might be the dreaded C and I won't be able to go sign my consent forms! Is it weird to be kind of looking forward to stabbing myself with needles again??

Thank you all for your messages. Our scan today confirmed what we thought, that it was a miscarriage. They said it looks like it's run it's course and there are no other issues or concerns. They'll give that feedback to our clinic and then I'll just need to wait for our clinic to contact us with an appointment for a review of our cycle, which I think will take about 4 weeks.

@Custardandcream Hope it all goes well at your follow-up this week
@Bruce2 Only a few more days until your scan, hope you're feeling ok about it
@loulamay Totally know what you mean about holding out hope that it'll happen 'naturally' I'm exactly the same and already hoping for a miracle when we get the chance to try before our next round of IVF. Hope you manage to get the information you need about those costs.

Bruce2 · 14/10/2020 10:15

@Lepatz I'm glad you've got a plan in place :) and no absolutely not strange to be looking forward to get going again...Neddles and all!

You sound positive and ready - I'll have all my fingers crossed this round is the one xx

I've stopped googling stuff and just trying to get through next 48 hours without panicking too much!

nextweek · 14/10/2020 13:27

@Bruce2 I know it's so hard to deal with the anxiety in the lead up to the scan and google really is the worst at times like this! You've done amazing to get this far, not long to go now and hopefully it'll put your mind at rest.

Custardandcream · 15/10/2020 22:05

@loulamay hope you get some answers soon, that sounds very frustrating. Think I’ll be hoping for a miracle baby next month!

@Lepatz hope you’re feeling a bit better and that it’s just a cold! I’m also looking forward to the injections in an odd way! The dr I spoke to yesterday so I have a few answers.

@nextweek I’m sorry, hope you manage to speak to someone at your clinic soon

@Bruce2 Good luck for tomorrow, I really hope it’s good news

I had my follow up yesterday and can start with my next period, it would be long protocol so injections starting 3 weeks after my period, bleed, then stims. I may leave it another month depending on when I get my period as it could end up with the 2ww over Christmas which I’m not sure I could cope with! I mentioned that I was told my amh levels were low 4 years ago and the dr just asked if testing my levels would make any difference to my decision to have treatment and if not it would be an unnecessary expense.

I currently feel like I’m at the bottom of a mountain with no idea if I’ll make it to the top! I’m happy that there won’t be any great delay starting but I’m worried about how well I’ll respond.

loulamay · 16/10/2020 07:04

Thinking of you today @Bruce2 !!! ThanksThanks

Mseddy · 16/10/2020 10:43

@nextweek sorry its been confirmed. I know you already kinda knew, but that appointment must have been tough.

@Bruce2 thinking of you today

Sorry I've not been on here much! I've been stressing about my clinic shutting down again due to covid, but finally got the go ahead for my FET yesterday. @Custardandcream my tww is going to fall over Christmas. If all the dates stay as planned I'd be 8dp5dt on Christmas day, so knowing I got my positive at 6dp this time I technically could even test on Christmas morning. We wernt going to celebrate Christmas this year, and I'm still not sure we will. But Im going to be off work for 3 weeks over Christmas now which as a nurse is completely new to me! Not sure I'll know what to do with myself!

@Lepatz maybe If you are on long and I'm on short protocol my dates might not fall to differently to yours again. I'm going to keep an eye on the November thread too I think

Oh wow!!!! Congratulations!! What fabulous news xxxx
StayingPositive8 · 17/10/2020 12:06

@MsNoons17 What lovely news, congratulations! Hopefully the next few weeks go quickly!

@Bruce2 So so glad that your scan went well, such a relief to know things are progressing as they should. I hope you're feeling good and sending lots of happy baby vibes

@Mseddy Really glad you have got the go ahead for your FET, will be thinking of you

@Lepatz I'm so glad you get to start again next week and hope the cold has buggered off!

All going well this end, 13w + 1d and really hoping the sickness is on it's way out soon. Decided to do the private NIPT test because of my age as the risks are always higher, and thankfully those came back with a low risk so I feel like it is another little hurdle completed!

Sending lots of love to everyone else and hope you are getting the answers you need and can start getting plans in place for your next rounds. The strength of this group still slightly overwhelms me x

MsNoons17 · 17/10/2020 14:08

Thanks @Bruce2 & @StayingPositive8.

Custardandcream · 17/10/2020 22:00

@MsNoons17 congratulations!

Bruce2 · 18/10/2020 05:04

@StayingPositive8
Thank you for well wishes.

So glad to hear you & baby are doing well.
You'll be so much more relaxed having the results in. Hope you're enjoying the ride so far

Im not keen to join any other threads really, I love this one, such an amazing group of girls. Fingers crossed for everyone x

loulamay · 18/10/2020 10:20

@Mseddy @Custardandcream @Lepatz - so exciting that you can get going again! I hope old Boris's tier system isn't buggering up any of the clinics' ability to function. Got my fingers crossed for you all that next time is the one!

@MsNoons17 - eeeek so exciting! I know about the nerves though. Does your clinic do beta bloods or do you just have to wait for a scan?

@StayingPositive8 - 13 weeks! Hope you're feeling better. Fab news about your risk tests coming back clear. Will there ever be a time when there isn't something to worry about?!

I'm on cycle day 35 and no sign of my period yet! I do always have long cycles but wondering if maybe I didn't escape the hormone effects of the miscarriage after all - we shall see.

I heard back from my clinic finally with the costs for PGS testing and although it's quite a lot we have decided to go ahead. We are going all in! I have 14 eggs on ice that we are going to ICSI then hopefully get some 5 day embies and test them alongside the 4 frosties we have and then we'll see where we are. Aiming for early next month for that and I guess the process will take a few weeks. Then I need to get my endometrial scratch done the cycle before our next transfer. And then I need to start exercising again and stop drinking wine and start my supplements... haha.

Mseddy · 18/10/2020 16:35

@MsNoons17 congratulations! How many dpt are you? On a digital too! Must be a lovely strong line.

@loulamay covid is starting to affect staffing at the clinic and they are stopping nurse consults again. Luckily we managed to get in before the stop so we will be one of the last ones for a little while. So glad!!
Good luck with your pgs testing! We only have 4 so I would hate to do and it loose all of them! Not that the heartbreak of recurrent miscarriage wouldn't be equally as shit! It's so hard!

loulamay · 18/10/2020 16:57

Yay @Mseddy - excellent work! Haha. When do you think you'll start on your cycle?

I know what you mean. It wasn't an easy decision and I think if we didn't have some more possible embryos we might not be doing it. I read a lot about some clinics not testing unless you have a batch of at least five embryos. I'm not sure if that's related to cost or something else. Even now I'm sure that both ways have their merits so I don't think there's a right or wrong answer. Feel a little sick at the thought of none of them coming back normal but then I suppose at least we would know where we stand!

MsNoons17 · 18/10/2020 20:04

Hope you’re feeling better @StayingPositive8

Thanks @Custardandcream

Thanks @Mseddy I’m 19dpt Glad you got in before any delays in your clinic!

Thanks @loulamay I have an appointment at the end of the month which I assume is for blood tests. I Think my treatment cycle includes a bloods as needed. Sounds like you’ve got a lot coming up! Good luck with it all.

Hope everyone else has had a good weekend & not too affected by all the changes going on. Xx
