Hi all

I recently had a mmc from my first IVF cycle and am waiting for AF to appear (probably 3-4 weeks away) so we can do FET. I think we'll probably go for a natural cycle but am waiting for some information from my clinic to make a final decision. Had follow up consultation yesterday and will be having nurse consultation in the next couple of weeks hopefully. If anyone is happy to share their FET experiences I'd love to hear them. A little worried that a natural cycle might be the wrong choice. Anyway, if anyone fancies joining me for some support then join the thread.

Thank you @russkispy how's things with you? @lillyleaf how many weeks does that make you now? xx

Russkispy · 05/12/2019 16:30

@Roobles79 thank you for asking. Still waiting for AF. I'm fee,omg very emotional and crying at absolutely everything and that never happened before! Must be something to do with AF. Hopefully it turns up soon. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

sometimesalways · 05/12/2019 16:38

@Russkispy Did the doctors indicate how long it might take for af to appear? How long are your cycles usually? Mine hasn't either (although less surprising perhaps since hCG is still up), and was wondering how long Id have to wait after this clears to get back into my (very regular, usually) cycles... it sounds like it might be a while. Sorry you've been feeling up and down, I bet it's those damn hormones!

Russkispy · 05/12/2019 16:54

@sometimesalways I can only blame those hormones as never had PMS! First AF after August's miscarriage turned up around 7/09. Then I had a CP started around 2/11 and bleeding stopped around 11/11. So I'm hoping AF turns up soon!
Hope your AF turns up soon too. Hate this waiting! 🤬🤬🤬

LillyLeaf · 05/12/2019 17:12

@Roobles79 good luck for Sunday. Those could be symptoms, you won't get much else this early. I've Everything crossed for you.

I'm only 6+4, feels like it's been 3 months already. But I guess with IVF we start our cycle weeks and weeks before we get a result that no wonder it feels like this. I just need time to move a bit quicker now.

@justtheonethen that's fantastic! Were you nervous. You could almost see my heart pounding out of my chest. All the memories of the bad scans came back. How many weeks/days are you?

@Russkispy @sometimesalways waiting for af is the worst! Looks like you have some good signs though.

Hope everyone else is getting on ok.

justtheonethen · 05/12/2019 17:35

@LillyLeaf I'm 7+5, yep I was petrified!

@Russkispy Thanks

Gursharankaur28 · 05/12/2019 20:02

Roobles79 · 07/12/2019 12:49

Did a test this morning on a frer, it's a positive!! I was convinced it would be negative, as been having heavy period cramps past few days. Wow. Can't believe it. Will do another test tomorrow, and Monday which will be OTD. XXX

justtheonethen · 07/12/2019 12:56

Betsyboo87 · 07/12/2019 13:16

@Roobles79 congratulations! I agree that the trigger shot will definitely be gone after 20 days. I hope you can relax and enjoy the weekend

ginandtonicformeplease · 08/12/2019 20:15

@Roobles79 Congratulations! Fantastic news

@Marmite83 Iceland is really good thanks! Strangely the NHS does not appear to offer advice on quite a bit of Icelandic food Grin We saw the northern lights last night! Back home tomorrow evening, and then scan on Tuesday morning. I'm dreading it.

How are you getting on?

Marmite83 · 08/12/2019 20:28

Sorry ladies, just realised my thread hadn't updated and I missed a whole load of posts!

Congratulations @Roobles79, fantastic news! Trigger will be well gone by now.

Glad AF has finally arrived @Russkispy, hope the hysteroscopy goes ok.

How are you doing @sometimesalways?

All ok here I think. Had an awful stomach this evening but I've been eating things this weekend that I've been cutting out recently which I think has irritated it. Still feeling very nauseous and exhausted. Scan booked for a week from tomorrow.

Roobles79 · 09/12/2019 08:44

@marmite83 thank you! I rang the clinic this morn to tell them and they are ringing me back later to sort out a scan and more progesterone. How many weeks are you now?

How do they calculate how many weeks pregnant you are is it from embryo transfer, collection, or first day of your last period? 🤔xx

Marmite83 · 09/12/2019 09:30

@Roobles79 I used this to calculate my due date www.yourivfjourney.com/baby-calculators-for-pregnancy/ivf-and-fet-due-date-calculator/. I'm 8 weeks today and the nausea is kicking my butt however I'm kinda glad it is. Madness!
