Hi all

I recently had a mmc from my first IVF cycle and am waiting for AF to appear (probably 3-4 weeks away) so we can do FET. I think we'll probably go for a natural cycle but am waiting for some information from my clinic to make a final decision. Had follow up consultation yesterday and will be having nurse consultation in the next couple of weeks hopefully. If anyone is happy to share their FET experiences I'd love to hear them. A little worried that a natural cycle might be the wrong choice. Anyway, if anyone fancies joining me for some support then join the thread.

Hi everyone, sorry I'm a bit late to the thread, hope you don't mind me joining. I was just wondering if anyone on here had had a frozen embryo transfer, and if so on what day of their cycle they ended up having it. Thanks so much and good luck everyone xxx

justtheonethen · 28/11/2019 21:35

@cake1987 I had a 5 day frozen embryo on day 14 of my cycle.

justtheonethen · 28/11/2019 21:36

@LillyLeaf I'm feeling very relieved still Smile
I have everything crossed for you lovely, I think a fair amount of aching is normal as everything stretches and moves around.

ginandtonicformeplease · 28/11/2019 21:44

@cake1987 My clinic aims for between day 17-21, but they adjust as necessary. This time I was day 19, but last time they waited until day 23 as my lining wasn't thick enough until then.

cake1987 · 28/11/2019 22:53

Thanks @justtheonethen and @ginandtonicformeplease that’s good to know. In other news I just took cyclogest instead of progynova. I’m such a idiot, so angry with myself and had a panic attack when I realised what I’d done. Xxx

justtheonethen · 28/11/2019 22:55

@cake1987 I've got an image of you swallowing cyclogest now, please tell me you didn't do that Grin. On a more serious note it won't matter if it's once I'm sure.

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 28/11/2019 23:01

@cake1987
I do non medicated transfers so it follows my natural ovulation- this time I got a positive ovulation test on cycle day 13 and transferred 5 days later on cycle day 19 (cycle day 14 was classed as ovulation day and day zero)

cake1987 · 29/11/2019 14:28

@justtheonethen 😂😂😂 Even though I have got very skilled at swallowing a gazillion supplements and meds at once. I don't think even I could swallow a cyclogest!
Yeah I'm hoping that it will be ok, but keep thinking, ffs what if after all this I've completely mucked up this round by making a stuuuupid mistake. The doctor said it should be ok, but we'll have to wait and see at the scan next fri. 🤞 Only got three hours sleep last night because I was worrying so much.

cake1987 · 29/11/2019 14:31

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted ah I see, how are you finding doing it non medicated? Maybe that's what I should be doing, seeing as how terrible I am at taking the meds 😂

Roobles79 · 29/11/2019 15:18

Hope your scan went OK today @marmite83 x

Marmite83 · 29/11/2019 15:59

Sorry ladies, my notifications stopped coming through and I've been so exhausted I've been a bit pants at keeping in touch.

Fantastic news @justtheonethen

@sometimesalways, I'm so sorry you're still in limbo, I hope your hcg drops soon so you can move forward

@LillyLeaf, yes nausea definitely still here, I feel pretty hideous but taking it as a good sign.

Thanks @Roobles79 we saw a little heartbeat which was a relief but she said the sac is an unusual shape which she was a little concerned about. I'm waiting for an update from my consultant to confirm if he is also concerned.

@marmite83 great news there is a heartbeat. Fingers crossed the consultant says nothing to worry about re. shape of sac and it corrects itself. Big hugs xx

Christabelle89 · 29/11/2019 18:09

@marmite83 Wow I bet it was amazing discovering the little heartbeat 😊 I have my fingers crossed that you get the all clear from your consultant

Ladies I was naughty I'm 8dp5dt and I caved this morning and took my first test which was a BFP 😁 trying not to get too excited yet but hoping the line only gets darker when I do another in the morning 🤞

justtheonethen · 29/11/2019 18:38

@Christabelle89 woohoo! Congratulations

@Marmite83 how lovely seeing the heartbeat- everything crossed its entirely unconcerning.

@cake1987 Grin I'm so glad you didn't! I'm sure it will be fine- fingers crossed for you.

LillyLeaf · 29/11/2019 21:27

I've been bleeding mostly brown. I'm devastated. In a&e now, they can't scan me until tomorrow. I've never bled in my previous MCs so was not expecting this. I can't believe this is happening again.

justtheonethen · 29/11/2019 21:32

@LillyLeaf you honestly don't know until you're scanned. I had masses of bleeding this week and all is well. I am keeping everything crossed that all is ok with you too.

sometimesalways · 29/11/2019 22:14

Oh no @LillyLeaf that's stressful, so sorry... but as @justtheonethen says it doesn't necessarily mean it's over, hang in there

Christabelle89 · 29/11/2019 22:19

@LillyLeaf Hang in there girl. I know it must be really tough but I have everything crossed for you and hope your scan goes well tomorrow. Sometimes people bleed the whole way through their pregnancy and still end up with a healthy baby at the end ❤️ sending you a big hug and wishing you the best of luck 🍀

ginandtonicformeplease · 29/11/2019 22:35

@LillyLeaf Fingers crossed and thinking of you Thanks

Roobles79 · 30/11/2019 10:18

@lillyleaf fingers crossed all goes well today. Stay positive. Sending you lots of strength. xx

LillyLeaf · 30/11/2019 11:11

Thanks everyone for your replies, it's lovely to know there's a bunch of women ready to offer encouragement. Today went well, no more bleeding. Scan showed a pregnancy in the correct place and correct size for my dates and flickering heartbeat. It's still incredibly early (5+6) and one today at a time. They did see tiny bit were the bleed might have come from which would have been from implantation, there was a tiny bit left so I might see some more. Because of my history they offered to see me in 2 weeks. Hope everyone is getting on ok today. What a hell of a journey.

justtheonethen · 30/11/2019 11:33

@LillyLeaf I'm delighted for you and totally cheering that little bean on! I'm glad they are seeing you again.

Betsyboo87 · 30/11/2019 11:42

@LillyLeaf fab news! I hope you have a nice relaxing day planned now. You’re right just to take it one day at a time. It’s such a rollercoaster of emotions. I had spotting (sometimes more) everyday from just after my bfp until 8 weeks. 3 scans showed the baby was absolutely fine and the drs never seemed bothered by it. It became the norm for me and I panicked when it stopped!

Roobles79 · 01/12/2019 11:39

Great news @lillyleaf wow that's made my day! Look after yourself xx

ginandtonicformeplease · 01/12/2019 12:34

I just can't stop thinking about the scan - it's still over a week away. To try and take my mind off it I'm doing more DIY today - IVF is certainly making my house look good! I woke up feeling queasy again, which can only be a good sign. Who on earth hopes for morning sickness?!!
