Oct/Nov IVF, ICSI & FET - Let's do this!

Hi all

I recently had a mmc from my first IVF cycle and am waiting for AF to appear (probably 3-4 weeks away) so we can do FET. I think we'll probably go for a natural cycle but am waiting for some information from my clinic to make a final decision. Had follow up consultation yesterday and will be having nurse consultation in the next couple of weeks hopefully. If anyone is happy to share their FET experiences I'd love to hear them. A little worried that a natural cycle might be the wrong choice. Anyway, if anyone fancies joining me for some support then join the thread.

I did a digital today. The first was a dud and didn't work at all, completely blank screen and not even the little timer appeared, but the second one showed 3+ and I'm happy with that for now.

@justtheonethen oh no, I hope it all turns out ok. You do often hear stories of bleeding in first trimester which turns out ok and while I don't have experience myself, gotta stay positive till you know something definitive. How are you today?

@Russkispy still waiting here argh 😤 in the end I had to go to EPU as my hCG is still not dropping and my clinic said they cannot treat me in case of ectopic so referred me to nhs. So they are monitoring it - blood test again tomorrow- till it drops to zero or whatever it is. They also had a good scan and still nobody can see a thing. Also progesterone is v low (6 I think?) so everybody so far seems to think I will miscarry / have miscarried wherever this pregnancy is/was. So just a waiting game... I honestly hope this clears in a week or two, I don't want it hanging over my head over the holidays!
But we are hopefully still on track to be cycle buddies in Jan 🤞

I'd say the more the merrier but it doesn't seem quite right in the ivf context does it... but you know what I mean! Supporting each other is v important in this process and it's so helpful to me to have all you ladies to exchange thoughts and whinge

@sometimesalways sorry you're still going through this. It's just rubbish! But hopefully soon it clears up and you're back on track for January.

I honestly can't believe this. Scan today after massive bleeding, cramping and clots. Baby is fine . I can't tell you how much blood there was. I almost stopped taking my meds as I was convinced it was all over!
Measuring a tiny bit behind so they have booked me another scan next week- baby had grown normally since Monday though so that's good.
Couldn't see any reason for the bleeding and said it might happen again which is terrifying.

I'm being a bit thick here, when would my period be due when undergoing ivf, in two weeks or would it be according to my flo app which says in 4 days? I thought it would be in two weeks but no idea. I'm getting some light cramping and have had a few twinges on my left side low down but this could well be the progesterone and bloating/wind. I've just ordered a frer but shan't test til sun 8th. OTD (what does this stand for?) is 9th Dec but this day is tricky as its husband's scan results for bowel cancer so thinking I will test on the Sunday morning which will be 13dp5dt. What do people think? Anyone else in 2ww with me? XX

@Roobles79 I think the progesterone we all take for the 2ww tends to delay af. I have never had my period while on an ivf cycle - whether pregnant or not. although I heard some people do. Perhaps it depends on the dosage. If you haven't had heavy flow (spotting is a different story) by OTD (official test day) you have every chance to be pregnant. Something you are pregnant even with a proper flow I hear, ivf is a crazy business!

Morning so I tested today 4dp5dt BFN on FRER - feeling a bit despondent as I got a positive this day on my last cycle (although that was ectopic so might have affected things)

I have ZERO Symptoms- literally nothing. I've read so many posts where someone says oh I've had no symptoms EXCEPT for the odd cramp (duh that's a symptom 🤦‍♀️) well I've got nada - no bloating no cramps no nothing 😢

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted sorry it's BFN. But maybe it's too early to test. And retest in a couple of days. Last month I had DE FET transfer and had absolutely no symptoms, NADA! My OTD was 9dp5dt and it was BFP! I was gobsmacked! Sadly it ended in chemical/early miscarriage. Hopefully there's still a chance for you 🤞🏻

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted 4dp5dt is VERY early, some FET embies dont implant till 6dp5dt, so you need to wait at least a couple of days after that to be certain. If you had an early implanter, you'd get a positive but the game is def not over for you. Hang in there a few more days!

I've been having quite low aches almost like where I would imagine my uterus and cervix to be. I really hope this isn't a bad sign, I'm worrying my cervix is opening and that's what the ache is. I'm on so much progesterone it's probably holding off any bleeding (I never bled in my last 2 MCs before stopping the meds). I still have a week to wait until my scan. This is torture.
