Hi all

I recently had a mmc from my first IVF cycle and am waiting for AF to appear (probably 3-4 weeks away) so we can do FET. I think we'll probably go for a natural cycle but am waiting for some information from my clinic to make a final decision. Had follow up consultation yesterday and will be having nurse consultation in the next couple of weeks hopefully. If anyone is happy to share their FET experiences I'd love to hear them. A little worried that a natural cycle might be the wrong choice. Anyway, if anyone fancies joining me for some support then join the thread.

Congrats on the transfer @mincedpea, how are you feeling today? I'm good thanks, just bumbling my way through the 2ww. Boobs are very sore still from all the progesterone. Hpts are still showing positive but the line's definitely getting lighter. I'll be 6dp5dt tomorrow so if the line continues to get lighter it's probably not a good sign, starting to regret testing it out now Confused

@sometimesalways, @LillyLeaf, I had Inhixa last cycle, I was chatting to the nurse about it saying about the stinging and she said it's because it's a different PH. The needles are definitely bigger too!

@BettySwoll0cks, 6 sounds like a good number to me, fingers crossed they all continue to develop well.

Welcome @ginandtonicformeplease

I found it hard to feel excited too @itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted, hopefully you'll start to feel more excited once you've had the transfer.

@updownleftrightstart I'm in Hemel so just down the road from you Smile

Thanks @Marmite83, I'm feeling fine, really no different from before. Not even any sore boobs, a total lack of symptoms. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I've never had a BFP though so who knows what that's actually like! My aim is to get to testing day, as I've always bled before that in the past.

Hopefully your tests will switch to darker again in the next few days. Are you using ICs or FRERs?

Good luck today @LillyLeaf, hope the transfer goes really well!

Russkispy · 08/11/2019 10:11

@LillyLeaf good luck!

@Marmite83 tentative congratulations!

Marmite83 · 08/11/2019 10:16

Good luck for today @LillyLeaf.

I'm using cheapies @mincedpea because I knew I'd need to use a few. The line definitely looked a bit lighter again this morning, I'd rather it was getting darker of course. I've pretty much convinced myself that I'm getting a bfn this cycle Sad. Pregnancy symptoms are confusing aren't they. Last cycle I had slightly tender boobs from the progesterone supplements and they weren't sore at all by the time I got my bfp. They've been much more sore this time, even before I'd had my transfer but maybe it's because I've done a couple of Gonasi shots this time. Who knows! I hope this is the one for you and there's no sign of any bleeding.

OP posts:
mincedpea · 08/11/2019 10:26

Totally agree @Marmite83, symptom spotting is next to impossible when there are other drugs concerned. Gonasi could well be driving the pre-transfer soreness, but if they're sore now, maybe that's a good thing?!

You're only 6dp5dt, that's still really early to test. And I think ICs won't pick up a BFP so quickly. The relative lightness/darkness could be down to all sorts of things too, so don't give up hope. Hopefully this one is the sticky bean BFP for you too.

Marmite83 · 08/11/2019 10:46

Thanks @mincedpea, I really hope you're right. Time will tell...

OP posts:
sometimesalways · 08/11/2019 11:38

@LillyLeaf good luck today!

@Marmite83 it's def early. The early implanters might get a bfp by now but not the regular/late ones. It might take up to 5 days for implantation I was told... hang in there! And for what it's worth, I never get sore boobs. I didn't with my last pregnancy and I def don't know.

sometimesalways · 08/11/2019 11:57

😬 now. Not 'know'. Obvs

@mincedpea keeping fingers crossed af stays away

LillyLeaf · 08/11/2019 13:59

Thanks for the good luck wishes, it was really nice seeing them before the transfer. Transfer went well. 1 normal 5AA on board. The staff at the clinic are so nice and know our history so it felt like they were really routing for us. OTD is the 18th which is a Monday for a blood test but i'll test maybe on the Sunday which will be 9dp5dt.

@Marmite83 maybe stop testing now untill OTD and then test with a FRER? I've never used the cheapie ones so not really sure how high the HCG has to be. Got everything crossed for you.

Marmite83 · 08/11/2019 14:16

Glad you're transfer went well @LillyLeaf. Hopefully the embryo's getting nice and snug in there. I did think about not testing but if I then tested with an FRER on Monday I wouldn't know if it's positive or just leftover hcg because I haven't tested it out of my system. At the end of the day the result will be what it is regardless of whether I test or not. I'm just a bit of a control freak and was just hoping I wouldn't be waiting all day for a phonecall on Monday. Oh well!

Good luck @LillyLeaf xx

sometimesalways · 08/11/2019 18:56

Sounds great @LillyLeaf good luck and 🤞🤞

@Marmite83 if the line is fading but doesn't disappear it might just be the hCG slowly reappearing? if you still have a line by Monday then it might mean a positive? Or do you think there is a change there might still be a trace of the shot there

Russkispy · 08/11/2019 21:45

@LillyLeaf glad it went well! Hope 2ww is gentle to you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

BettySwoll0cks · 09/11/2019 09:36

Day 3 - we have 4 embryos still going. Apparently they all look like good quality but I'm still prepared for the fact that number may drop by Monday. Gawd it's an anxious time and nothing whatsoever we can do about it. I think I have mild OHSS 😬 i feel a wee bit like my organs are going to explode out of my middle. Don't really want to tell the clinic though because I want all options to be on the table on Monday (day 5).....

How much would you all give for a crystal ball?! All the waiting and uncertainty is an absolute killer. I have my fingers crossed for everyone in limbo.

sometimesalways · 09/11/2019 09:59

Ugh so much for my good luck. The clinic just called with the blood rest results and apparently hCG is only 65 which is 'on the low side' and want me to repeat the blood test on Tuesday. I am so sad... I was trying not to get too excited but still impossible not to be disappointed. And we will have a terrible 3 days of uncertainty till the next results.

sometimesalways · 09/11/2019 10:00

I want your crystal ball @BettySwoll0cks

sometimesalways · 09/11/2019 10:32

@BettySwoll0cks if you are feeling unwell it might be best to freeZe all and wait till you are better? I understand the frustration completely but you being well is no1 priority... just keep an eye out for symptoms

LillyLeaf · 09/11/2019 10:42

@Marmite83 did you test again today? I don't think there's any right or wrong answer to testing, just do what you feel works for you.

@BettySwoll0cks 4 is great, fingers crossed for the next fees days. Hopefully on day 5 you'll feel yourself again, but if not there's no way you should do a transfer as you'll feel a million times worse if you get a bfp with OHSS.

@sometimesalways hopefully it's just a slow rising HCG. The wait in limbo is awful.

So I'm only 1dp5dt and already thinking I might test next Saturday at 8dp5dt which is a day earlier than normal for me.

Christabelle89 · 09/11/2019 11:09

Hey ladies 👋 hope you don't mind me catching up with this thread then hopping on. After a total of 6 years trying to conceive (3 1/2 with my husband) and 2 ectopics resulting in no tubes we have finally started IVF 😊 I'm on CD7 and 6th day of Meriofert as well as starting fyremadel yesterday morning. I have my monitoring scan on Monday to see how my follicles are cooking 😂 just waiting for this scan is killing me so who knows how I'll cope with 2ww lol 🤷‍♀️

Marmite83 · 09/11/2019 12:09

Welcome @Christabelle89, I hope the scan goes well. All the waiting is the worst part IMO but we're here to support you along the way.

@sometimesalways, so sorry it's not looking too positive but don't lose all hope just yet. Hopefully just a slow start.

4 is a good number @BettySwoll0cks, I hope they all continue to develop nicely. I felt pretty rough for a few days after EC and was really worried about OHSS but by transfer day I felt better so we went ahead and OHSS never happened luckily. Hopefully the same will happen for you.

I did test again @LillyLeaf, there's still a line, can't really tell if it's getting lighter or darker. I guess I'd be more concerned if there was no line at all at 7dp5dt. Time will tell. How are you feeling (other than wanting to test on Sat)?

OP posts:
LillyLeaf · 09/11/2019 12:26

@Christabelle89 good luck with your scan, none of this waiting us easy no matter which stage we're at.

@Marmite83 I'm feeling ok. I'm not really sure where my head needs to be. On paper it all looks positive but my history is making me feel like it's never going to work out. I don't know. Apparently we have a 50% chance of having a live birth with a pgs normal + a 5AA embryo, that still doesn't feel great so I'm trying to manage my expectations. I would also like one of those crystal balls please.

Marmite83 · 09/11/2019 12:35

50% sounds like a pretty good number to me @LillyLeaf. I know it's not easy but that's as much chance of it working as not. I do get it though. After 2 mmcs and 1 live birth I feel like my chances of another mc are high. PCOS, endo and my age don't help with the odds. All we can do is keep trying, I'm far too stubborn to call it a day yet. Hopefully we'll all get through this together

OP posts:
updownleftrightstart · 09/11/2019 14:43

50% is good odds @Lillyleaf !!!

@sometimesalways they said its on the low side, but not outside normal range so hopefully Tuesdays test will show a good increase.

My bloods came back too and apparently my progesterone is a bit low. So they want me to take cyclogest as well (getting hold of that is not proving to be easy because I can't get to the clinic this weekend!) . I am currently on 3 lentogest injections a week, 600mg of Utrogestan a day and 2 crinone daily. And if my levels are still low I dread to think how it would be without all those supplements. I'm starting to think it's no wonder I miscarried my natural pregnancy.

I really hope the line starts darkening up soon @Marmite83

@Christabelle89 hope the scan goes well. This whole process is just one big lot of waiting after another.

@BettySwoll0cks I hope you start feeling better soon and it's not OHSS. But the clinic will know what's best to do to ensure that BFP so don't worry about telling them

Christabelle89 · 09/11/2019 17:14

Thanks ladies 😊 @Lillyleaf I'm a positive polly so 50% sounds really good to me too 👍 we've got this ladies 💪 @BettySw0llocks hope you're feeling better soon x

LillyLeaf · 09/11/2019 18:50

@updownleftrightstart in my last FET my progesterone was a little low at OTD so it was upped, i ended up being on 3 Cyclogest and 2 lubion a day. So this time I'm getting my progesterone tested early, I'll be 4dp5dt, hopefully it will be fine because the lubion costs a fortune. For this cycle they have replaced Cyclogest with Crinone, how are you finding it? I think I had more side effects from Cyclogest.

@Christabelle89 I probably should try to be more positive, but it's hard sometimes.
