Hi peeps :)

I’ll hyperlink this to our old thread so we can continue bitching about crystal82 😂

I can’t believe we’ve almost got to 1000 posts. I didn’t even know that was a thing - thank you @kittykatsmile because I had no idea it would just max out and I can NOT go on without you all. That’s not even an option.

@Mrbay oooh I haven't been to Swindon outlet in quite a few years. I love a good outlet shop though. Glad you got some bits for yourself. And two in the freezer. This really is going to be great for you - 2 in the freezer from your first round and 2 more rounds if needed...you must feel so relaxed! Yes you're right I think I'll be upfront at my follow up.

@KittyKatSmile yes, well done! That's brilliant! I had been thinking about you today. So glad for you!

@AliciaWhiskers I'm sorry about your bfn, that's so shit. So awful for your partner too. You are right to focus on things in the short term and take time for yohrselves. When is it you go on holiday to Cornwall?

Cauliflower82 · 18/07/2019 20:31

Hi everyone
I’m just catching up on all the news and so much has happened. We have additional frosties, a heartbeat 💗 , and so much. I’ve been terrible keeping up when away. I’ve been mega busy - too busy, I worry. I’ve done far too much so I intend to get some good rest in.

I’m really sorry to hear the sad news between people as well - it’s incredibly hard. Even though I’ve eased up on the chatting, I’be always got you all in my thoughts and prayers. I’m eagerly awaiting my scan - I’m so attached to Pip.

@zest11 - you would think that I'd be relaxed, so relaxed that I left the handbrake off the car last night and it took it self for a little drive into the garage door!! FML

@AliciaWhiskers - sorry to read that you had a BFN, I'm not sure what to say sorry

Welshpugmomma · 19/07/2019 17:30

@KittyKatSmile that's brilliant news , bet your so excited! can I ask how did they calculate your due date ? I have read so many conflicting theories! I still have another 2 weeks to go, it's dragging!

@AliciaWhiskers so sorry for your news, take care of yourself and be there for your DH too, it's such a volatile process so thoughts are with you xx

Loving the outlet shopping chat, I'm a sale addict!! I pretty much only buy anything if it is in the sale! I'm very close to McarthurGlen Bridgend, and also have fam close to the Swindon one ! I won't be buying anything until much much further in I'm looking forward to browsing all the yank shops like pottery barn and all that... Knowing me I'll move and I'll only want the British stuff though!

@Zest11 reading back you posts you seem so sensible about things, I liked what kitty said though about it being binary and thats exactly my thoughts, there are just so many variables at every stage, and the stats aren't person specific! you got your frozens which was good and there's nothing to say next cycle will work for you... keep doing what you're doing and stay :) hows your partner been with it all ?

I've also been sleeping LOADS, I literally struggle to keep my eyes open!

@Cauliflower82 rest up now, and put your feet up schools out (and for any of you other teachs!)

KittyKatSmile · 19/07/2019 18:22

@Welshpugmomma I don't think they've calculated it for me actually. I think I've done it myself. Try this:
flo.health/tools/ivf-due-date-calculator-1

Sorry @AliciaWhiskers, really hard for your OH as well. Take care of each other xx

Ginandtonic31 · 20/07/2019 11:33

@KittyKatSmile excellent news! Are you just onto the GP now?

@Mrbay laughing at the car! I know it isn't funny but we've so much on our minds.

@AliciaWhiskers I'm sorry it was a negative. I hope you enjoy your holiday and the break.

My scan was meant to be Monday but just had to go for one as I woke up bleeding and cramping. Everything looks ok and they saw a heartbeat so I'm back in a week for another scan. They can't see where the blood is coming from. I know there's nothing I can do other than stick a pant liner in and carry on!

KittyKatSmile · 20/07/2019 12:02

@Ginandtonic31 a heartbeat! Amazing! So happy for you.

I have had a slight disaster over the past few days. Asked my clinic if I needed to continue to have my immune levels monitored. They said 'no, just the intralipids infusion within a week of your BFP and then another within another month'. This was the first time I'd ever heard this. I absolutely lost it at the clinic (in a very British way. They probably haven't realised). I'm going away (again) today so I insisted I'd have to go in yesterday. I am so annoyed with the clinic for messing up like this.

Thank god I saw the heartbeat this week. Will still continue to freak out though.

Love to you all x

Ginandtonic31 · 20/07/2019 12:13

@KittyKatSmile so they didn't tell you to have one within the week?

I'm still freaking out as I'm cramping and brown blood. But what can I do?!

KittyKatSmile · 20/07/2019 12:20

@Ginandtonic31 nope. It was written in a leaflet they sent me. But it wasn't in the cover email of next steps to take. Plus if I hadn't had them, there should have been an alert stating I'd missed them....

Brown blood is old blood. Try not to panic: I'm aware of how stupid a thing that is to say xx

Cauliflower82 · 21/07/2019 14:20

@Ginandtonic31 hope you’re doing okay there. It’s such good news to hear that they’ve heard a heartbeat - that’s amazing. Hold on to that and like @KittyKatSmile said, try not to worry.

@kittykatsmile I’m in awe that they wouldn’t be a reminder, or an alert, or something... we’re not pros at this. I think sometimes, some people expect we are. We’re novices at best. Hope you’re doing alright.

@Welshpugmomma pottery barn! Amazing. You’ll have to let us know what it’s like.

@Mrbay 🙊 probably the last thing you need right now.

CornishMaid1 · 21/07/2019 23:19

@Ginandtonic31 It is great news you heard the heartbeat - hold onto that. Cramping and some spotting at this stage is apparently completely normal.

I've had some brown blood spotting and cramping this weekend so spent plenty of time googling. I can't remember if you are past of the back passage gang but if not it could be the pessaries doing it - I think that may be the cause of mine.

I have my scan tomorrow and to be honest I'm quite freaked out. I was okay until the spotting, but other than being tired I have no symptoms whatsoever and I seem to have convinced myself I've miscarried and even warned DH not to get his hopes up. I really hope I'm wrong but I just feel so scared which is really unlike me as I'm usually optimistic. I just want the scan over with now.

I do think if you have IVF you should get to skip the whole pregnancy thing and just be given the baby. I don't think I can cope with the worry for 9 months!

Ginandtonic31 · 22/07/2019 09:52

@CornishMaid1 no I'm back so there was no reason for me to bleed. They couldn't see where the blood was from so they think my cervix. I've stopped now I think.

I too am just tired and very hungry. No other symptoms. My scan was meant to be today but it's next Monday now after last Saturday. Good luck today.

CornishMaid1 · 22/07/2019 12:31

Well I had my scan today and we saw her heartbeat. Feeling so relieved and happy today Grin

KittyKatSmile · 22/07/2019 12:39

@CornishMaid1 that is wonderful news, so happy for you lovely lady xx

AliciaWhiskers · 22/07/2019 12:44

@CornishMaid1 awww that's lovely news, congrats to you :)

@Ginandtonic31 I had bleeding at around 6 weeks in my first pregnancy, I was terrified too, but all worked out fine, and they didn't know why it happened either. Probably just bubs snuggling in a bit more. Hope all is well at your scan next week.

@KittyKatSmile oh man, I'd have been furious at the clinic if that had happened to me. Hope all is well.

Ginandtonic31 · 22/07/2019 13:20

@CornishMaid1 yay lots of little heartbeats this week!

I've got backache today and convinced I will bleed again. I keep going to the toilet to check. But it's just a tiny bit of brown on a wipe. Nothing much since s brown clot yesterday. Brown is ok though I believe. I keep telling myself it was just snuggling a bit and caused a tiny bit of blood. I bet the amount was tiny and just diluted down.

@CornishMaid1 and @KittyKatSmile do you think you will pay for NIPT or anything

Mrbay · 22/07/2019 13:21

Hey all!

Sorry I've been busy sorting out the house ready for the puppy!

@Ginandtonic31 - I think a bit of spotting is normal in early pregnancy, but do give the nurses a shout if you are worried.

@CornishMaid1 - that is amazing news!!

I'm not sure where I am at the moment, over the weekend I felt like I was getting AF but nothing has come of it. Just getting twinges at the moment. Also, I stupidly, jumped the horse during the week (he was ace) and thought a small session over the weekend would be fine. Nope, the little sh*t ditched me, I feel very guilty (and stupid) that I may have completely stuffed up this cycle.

AliciaWhiskers · 22/07/2019 13:30

@Mrbay how many dpt are you now? Lots of the others with positive tests had that crampy AF feeling and twinges so hoping that's a good sign for you. Do you mean you feel off your horse? Remember how well insulated and padded that little one is, hoping it's sticking on nicely for you

@Ginandtonic31 yes I think brown is ok, it's old blood and as you say it's probably just a tiny amount that looks a lot. Thinking of you, hang on in there xx

KittyKatSmile · 22/07/2019 14:07

@Mrbay yes cramping can be an early sign of all being well. So cruel. When is OTD?

@Ginandtonic31, yes, I'm booked in for Harmony test but of course I'm about a hundred years older than you Grin

Ginandtonic31 · 22/07/2019 14:45

@KittyKatSmile I'm going to book in but don't want to tempt fate yet. With my OH being in his 40s o wondered if it was the same with genetic mutations in sperm. Will you find out if it's a boy or girl from that?

AliciaWhiskers · 22/07/2019 14:48

@KittyKatSmile what's a Harmony test?

Mrbay · 22/07/2019 15:43

@aliciawhiskers - sorry I meant I fell from my horse. I couldn't quite stop him and hold on at the same time.

@kittykatsmiles - the female body is very bloody annoying!!

KittyKatSmile · 22/07/2019 17:33

@Ginandtonic31 I know what you mean. I waited until after the scan to book it. You can find out the sex then, yes, but I'm not going to find out. I'm happy with a surprise on the day Smile

Ginandtonic31 · 22/07/2019 18:11

@KittyKatSmile I think I might wait until after next week's scan now given the bleeding! Just been to the GP. Receptionist was crap. I said I've got this fork from my IVF fertility clinic and she just took a photocopy of it and said that will go on your record. And then I said what else do I need to do? She was like have you booked a midwife? Errrm no. Oh I will put you down for her to call you. In this time we had mentioned ivf and she told me some story about her friend. So she's filling in this book and she says when was your last period? I was like well it's ivf I don't think that matters and I've been on drugs for so long I've no idea! Well how do you know how far along you are? Well it's all on that form - transfer date, how many weeks I am, my due date Hmm

KittyKatSmile · 22/07/2019 19:09

@Ginandtonic31 ah bloody hell, they are useless. I've booked in to see my GP but it won't be until after I'm 12 weeks. I won't even be having the baby under the NHS so I'm pretty relaxed about not necessarily being in the system but still.... and I wanted to see him because he's the only reasonable person I've ever seen at my practice. He works about 15mns a week Grin
