Hi peeps :)

I’ll hyperlink this to our old thread so we can continue bitching about crystal82 😂

I can’t believe we’ve almost got to 1000 posts. I didn’t even know that was a thing - thank you @kittykatsmile because I had no idea it would just max out and I can NOT go on without you all. That’s not even an option.

@Ginandtonic31 got it - thank you and I love the name hahaha! Did you get all your washing done? Re the book...did you 'fess up and pay your fines? :D

@Mrbay re the progesterone I was so paranoid I wore a pad so I didn't ruin my underwear. I found that basically it would slowly creep out throughout the day...yuck! Your 6th sense is odd, that is so sad about your GM though. I hope you're wrong about this cycle though. Good luck with tomorrow - tbh ET was probably the easiest bit of the whole process.

Ginandtonic31 · 14/07/2019 14:17

Sorry everyone will send the link shortly. Woke up with a migraine this morning and it was a killer and can't take Asprin now! So only just got up but typing this is hard as I get aura too with a migraine. Second one this week!!

@Zest11 I did and wait for it... my fines were £3.65!!

@Cauliflower82 I've one load left. DH works shirts. Then I'm done. I cleaned our bedroom and bathroom too and the shower was grim!! I can't let it get like that again. I was ashamed.

CornishMaid1 · 14/07/2019 18:09

@Ginandtonic31 Yes please can I join the new forum too.

Hope your migraine is starting to ease.

Mrbay · 15/07/2019 08:30

Morning girls!

Hope you've all had fantastic weekends.

Today is the first day I can finally say pregnant until proven otherwise - f you crystal82 with your perfect pregnancy!!

Regarding the woo stuff, freaked me out, all of us out for a while. Unfortunately my sense hasn't helped me win the lotto yet.

Do you think I could have a message this week?

AliciaWhiskers · 15/07/2019 12:27

@Mrbay wow, I'm so sorry about your GM, what a sixth sense you had! Have you ever experienced it again? I'm fascinated by all this kind of stuff, my sister saw a ghost when she was about 6 and I've got a few friends who are really into tarot cards and spiritual stuff. It's all very interesting!

AliciaWhiskers · 15/07/2019 12:38

Sorry, got called away at work. How inconsiderate Grin

@Ginandtonic31 had to laugh at the library fine! Are you all paid up and allowed back in now?! Thanks for sending the link over, will try and get over there later. Hope your migraine is better today

@Mrbay have you had your ET already, or is that later today? I heard the pupo thing for the first time the other day - exciting times! Hope all goes well for you today

@Welshpugmomma I remember the pregnancy clumsiness...and forgetfulness! Hope you manage to stay upright today :)

@CornishMaid1 how are things with you?

How does anyone manage to hold out until OTD?!?!? ARGH!

CornishMaid1 · 15/07/2019 13:57

@Mrbay Glad the transfer went well. I hope the next 2 weeks fly by (they won't - they will be long but the hope is there!).

@AliciaWhiskers I'm okay thanks. Just counting down to my scan next Monday. I'm holding off contacting the doctors until after as I am now concerned I might jinx it!

I don't know how anyone holds out to OTD. I think @Cauliflower82 may have been the only one of us who actually did (sorry if I missed someone else who was good and had the patience of a saint).

Mrbay · 15/07/2019 14:04

@AliciaWhiskers And @cornishmaid1 - just had it and it was painless, I was more worried about peeing!

I've got one for the freezer and one is just a little behind so they are going to make a call tomorrow if he goes off for training or freezer.
I love the phrase PUPO, it's so positive Smile

When are we all jumping shop across??

@AliciaWhiskers - no others of that level, apart from when I got the calls to say my nan and gran had passed, I knew before my mum told me and after we'd said hello I said your calling to say they've passed.
Oh I have had sleep paralysis where I saw someone stood next to my bed, but oddly I could screen and move to wake my husband up. Whilst I was screaming the man was just stood there laughing at me! Even my subconscious is a dick!!
Oh do tell your ghost story, but let set up a thread on our new forum 😊😊

AliciaWhiskers · 15/07/2019 14:16

@CornishMaid1 the waiting doesn't end at the end of the 2ww then! More waiting until a scan! I am sure you won't jinx it by contacting your GP but it's odd the things we do for fear of that or because of superstition. I really need to get my hair cut, but I won't do it until I know if this cycle has worked or not. I was the same when I used to run marathons. I clearly thought that I was Samson and that cutting my hair would somehow mean I would lose all my strength. I realise that makes me sound quite mad! How many DPT were you before you first got a BFP?

@Mrbay - whoop, glad it went well! Yes I was worried about peeing too - my bladder was so full! Welcome to the 2ww - is it just me and you in that at the moment? Lovely news that you have one for the freezer too, and maybe a second one. Will def share the ghost story on the other forum!

Ginandtonic31 · 15/07/2019 14:17

@Mrbay ooo yes a paranormal activity thread.
Good luck with the transfer!

@AliciaWhiskers I am allowed back now! My card was reinstated and everything! Limiting myself to two books each visit now 😂😂 migraine is a bit better. Feeling like a negative nelly again today though about life. I miss the old happy me!

@CornishMaid1 my scan is Monday too. Are we meant to tell the GP? I thought the clinic told us when to do that!

RRoonilWazlib · 15/07/2019 14:31

Sorry for the silence my end. I spent the weekend in London for my birthday!

At what point do you think you should get 3+ on a clearblue digital?

Not caught up properly just yet, just wanted to quickly post so I didn't miss a new thread xx

Ginandtonic31 · 15/07/2019 15:01

@RRoonilWazlib I got one Saturday which was 5+1

Mrbay · 15/07/2019 15:47

@AliciaWhiskers - I think so, however I'm not sure if I'm more excited about TD or puppy day as both are within 24-hrs of each other.
The men have it pretty easy really.

Oh did anyone else's OH think they did the removal and insertion through your belly button? 🙈🙈

@Ginandtonic31 - glad you're feeling better and that you didn't receive a massive fine.

Oh my clinic has given me a testing kit - bonus!

I'll set up a thread in a bit

CornishMaid1 · 15/07/2019 16:08

@MrBay Glad it wasn't too bad and at least 1 in the freezer is great.

Sorry @AliciaWhiskers but the waiting is just a different type of waiting! I thought I would feel the relief after the 2ww, but I have another 2ww for the scan so I still feel in limbo - I don't think it will feel real until then. At least if that scan shows everything is okay I will be happy, whereas most people have to wait until their NHS 12 week scan to know so that is something.

I got my BFP at 8dp5dt, which was the first test so I am not sure if it would have shown up earlier. I honestly only tested as I felt so crampy and 'full' that I really through it was over.

@RRoonilWazlib The clearblue dates works from time since conception, which would be weeks from egg collection in theory. As your pregnancy weeks work from the date of your last period (which doesn't necessarily work for ivf as we don't have a typical cycle during treatment) you should get 3+ when you are 5 weeks pregnant (5 weeks from last period).

@Ginandtonic31 I actually have no idea about telling the doctor. I was looking on the NHS website (mostly at foods to avoid and what symptoms I should be having) and it said to let the GP/midwife know as soon as you find out. I was planning to wait until after my scan to make sure everything was okay but I'm not sure if I was supposed to contact them anyway - I never really thought about what I am meant to do after the test!

AliciaWhiskers · 15/07/2019 17:05

@Ginandtonic31 sorry to hear you are having a down day. Is it about anything in particular, or just general? Good news about the library though :)

@RRoonilWazlib oooh happy birthday for last week (or whenever it is/was). Hope you had a super time in London. What did you do?

@Mrbay oh wow, a new puppy and OTD is a lot happening at once! What breed of dog is your new puppy? Haha at your DP thinking it went through the belly button - as long as he doesn't expect a baby to pop out of there as well...

@Cornishmaid1 - was it a faint line at 8dp5dt, or pretty clear by that point? I've had cramping over the weekend but nothing today, so who knows! I don't think there is a massive rush to tell the GP, they would refer you onto the midwives for blood testing (I'd assume they still do those for us IVF ladies, as obviously we have to have HIV etc bloods done prior to IVF anyway?) and then a scan at 12 weeks I think.

Ginandtonic31 · 15/07/2019 17:55

@AliciaWhiskers how many days are you? Mine was fairly strong at 8dp5dt tbh.

Oh just the usual stuff. Frustrated with myself I'm never happy anymore, worrying about age, wondering if I will ever be happy again. Catch 22. Miss the days when I would come home upset and worried I had just messed up at work. Would take that any day.

KittyKatSmile · 15/07/2019 17:56

Hi ladies!

I keep trying to get through to my doctor (ok, i wrote it on my to do list and called once today) but haven't managed. I'm not too bothered as last time I got in there early and then had someone calling and asking me to go to my midwife appointment the week I'd lost the baby. Superstition to the max here. Can Thursday please come quickly.

@Zest11 Guernsey is wonderful. You totally should go if you're on the south coast. Me and @AliciaWhiskers can show you round; I've got a lovely house you can stay in (mates' rates = free!)

Happy tww to @AliciaWhiskers and @Mrbay x

Ginandtonic31 · 15/07/2019 18:10

@KittyKatSmile why don't we all just go to your house?

I was just going to call the GP after the scan next week.

AliciaWhiskers · 15/07/2019 18:40

@Ginandtonic31 I'm 7dp5dt. Are these long standing worries, or been triggered more recently? Have you got anyone you can talk to about things? I can't remember if it was you who had been having counselling (sorry, my memory is really awful and I'm sorry if I have remembered that incorrectly). If not, do you think you would find it helpful to talk it through with someone? If you are an anxious person, I wonder if going through IVF just makes it worse. I'm pretty anxious, and I'm finding this is triggering all of my obsessive checking behaviours, which I know are unhelpful, but I can't seem to drag myself out of the cycle at the moment. They are definitely worse in times of stress, and this whole journey is pretty stressful. Hope you are ok x

@KittyKatSmile hope Thursday rolls around quickly for you. How was your weekend? Definitely up for the Guernsey trip!

Mrbay · 15/07/2019 19:10

@Ginandtonic31 - I'm sorry I didn't see your bit about low mood.
I don't know what to say as I understand OCD is pretty all consuming.
Its normal to have those feelings, shit, I'm worried if I'm old enough to be doing this (I'm 31 and been married for the past 11-years so I've done mature bits but this feels next level) or if I'm a good enough house wife as I'm rubbish as keeping the house clean and tidy. Well in my opinion, it reality it's not that bad.
When's your next counselling session?

@AliciaWhiskers - she's a yellow lab and I cannot wait to pick her up, she's labadorable 🤣🤣

Thanks for the well wishes girls, I still cannot believe it, we've beaten the odds.

@kittykatsmiles - Keith, you'd better be careful enticing pretty ladies to your hide away 😉🤣
Sorry had to get that in!
I've always wanted to go to Guernsey as a friend had a holiday there while we were in primary and it sounded amazing.

I'm stressing a little about tomorrow as it's gonna be a long day of making excuses why I'm not drinking, I mean army events are rarely a sober affair! Plus I normally join in and stay in a room on camp. Plus I'm not sure I've got the dress code right.

Ginandtonic31 · 15/07/2019 19:29

@AliciaWhiskers I think you would get a line tomorrow. Mine was pretty dark! I'm seeing a therapist who specialises in CBT and hypnosis rather than counselling as I read counselling can be too reassuring rather than helping. Although I loved chatting to her. I've felt like it for about 10 months and it was just after we started IVF so it could be related. And not helped by the drugs. But I truly miss not being worried about it and enjoying my life! I can't pull myself out of it either. What kind of checking behaviours do you have?

@Mrbay I feel too young too at 32! And I'm untidy and late for work every day and forget to wash my clothes etc. I also sleep a lot. But on the other hand I feel my DH is now too old and everything would be ok if we could have done this 5 years ago instead.

Zest11 · 15/07/2019 19:45

@Mrbay I am so glad today went smoothly for you. And yay for having at least 1 in the freezer! Yes the PUPO saying is great! Enjoy it! Also, I'm 31 too and even though biologically it's the right time, like you I feel no way mature and sensible enough for this! And @Ginandtonic31 I forget to wash my clothes too and it all mounts up. And then I put a load in the washer dryer and just leave it there because I cba to sort it out! Grin Husband goes mad hahaha! Please don't worry about the age thing. My friend is about 33 and due her baby. Her partner is about 45/46 and bald/shaved head but tbh, we really don't notice the difference. My dh who's 34 hangs out with him as if he was our age. Itz's probably only you that worries about the age difference.

@KittyKatSmile I'm glad you had a lovely weekend. I have to say I was a little worried for you as you were unusually quiet. We do keep meaning to go to Guernsey. Although Keith...are you grooming me? First of all the drugs, now your home....hmmmmm Grin

@AliciaWhiskers I reckon you could test tomorrow on a FRER...good luck!!

@cauliflower82 I hope you are having a lovely time in London. What sites are you going to? I loooove going to London but not sure with a bunch of school kids in tow. What year are they? Are you able to say..."right...meet us at Westfield in 3 hours?" Type thing or are you all together the whole time. Yes, regarding the eligibility it's a bit of a grey area. The local authority next to ours explicitly have the miscarriage rule in their policy but ours doesn't say anything about it.

I am actually wondering if it's worth changing clinics. I saw that CRGH has a policy with our local area and their success rates look great. Not sure if I would be able to move all my frosties there and use my last nhs transfer there instead. No idea how these things work. London is obviously not local but not sure if it would be worth it. Hmmm!

Mrbay · 15/07/2019 20:08

I don't mind laundry but I hate cleaning the bathroom, I do the loo and the bath (sometimes) but I hate it, along with hovering the stairs and upstairs. Mrs Hinch has a lot to answer for making me feel bad!!

I'm glad that I'm not the only one, I mean I'm pretty upset that I won't get to go to our local river inflatable assault course this year, plus I've heard of the most amazing one called Liquid Pleasure, not gonna get to that this year I expect.
Plus me and OH are pretty immature, I mean we just quote from cartoons all the time.
My age is just a number (unless you ask my ovaries) some of my best mates are in their 50s

Mrbay · 15/07/2019 20:14

@zest11 - I wouldn't get too hung up on the rate they post as there are loads of different factors that can affect them. Before you do anything, have your review with your current consultant as there might be other things they want to try.
You can currently transport them as people transport frozen semen for animal AI.

Ginandtonic31 · 15/07/2019 20:19

@Zest11 you can pay to move embryos, but just make sure it's worth it first.

I just have a huge craving to be normal and I feel this prevents me from being normal.
