Hi peeps :)

I’ll hyperlink this to our old thread so we can continue bitching about crystal82 😂

I can’t believe we’ve almost got to 1000 posts. I didn’t even know that was a thing - thank you @kittykatsmile because I had no idea it would just max out and I can NOT go on without you all. That’s not even an option.

@Cauliflower82 aww that's so sweet of you, I hope you have a lovely weekend. I am very up and down. But hopefully dodgy Keith can sort me out!

@Mrbay I hope the transfer goes okay today and the tww goes quickly for you. That's great you can take some time off. I know what you mean about the egg and the sperm, that was a relief for me too. But now because we had a high proportion make it to day 5/6 and no diagnosis it makes me question what on earth's wrong!

KittyKatSmile · 12/07/2019 10:04

@Zest11 shoot, I'm so sorry, I didn't send you Keith's back (Passage) story last night. Starting it now hon xx

Mrbay · 12/07/2019 10:44

@Zest11 - as all 3 are AB they have delayed my transfer to Monday, so I may even have one or two for the freezer.
Or it could just be one of those things and you could be successful on round 2 or 3. Our clinic have a 91% success rate after 3-cycles. Its not over under it is over :)

@KittyKatSmile - I am just thinking this is going to be story that should be shown on Channel 4/5!

Cauliflower82 · 12/07/2019 10:55

I’m still worried - the cramping is quite severe. Yes, a paracetamol gets rid of it but is it supposed to hurt this much peeps?

@Zest11 did they say when you could get started on a fet?

OP posts:
Cauliflower82 · 12/07/2019 10:56

@mrbay whoa that’s an amazing success rate!!

OP posts:
Mrbay · 12/07/2019 12:33

@califlower82 - call the nursing team if you are worried, are you getting any other symptoms?

Thank you, I'm still in shock but @zest11 was right smaller number may produced a higher quality.

KittyKatSmile · 12/07/2019 14:06

@Cauliflower82 I don't think you should worry too much. It's normal to feel cramping, horrible as it is. We are always going to be so worried I think. Worried if we cramp, worried if we don't.... try to enjoy it and to enjoy little Pip xx

Zest11 · 12/07/2019 20:05

@Cauliflower82 Try to enjoy the whole thing but if it's really worrying you you could speak to your clinic for reassurance. I assume you have done a test now to see those two lines but perhaps get one of the digital ones so you have a weeks indicator and in a week or less maybe do it again to check it's gone up. Or if you need quicker reassurance you could pay for another blood test to see that the hcg is doubling. This is advice from an overly paranoid/anxious person mind! I could do a FET after my next period (this one is apparently flushing all the drugs out) but I will probably pay for the Coventry tests, even if it is just for piece of mind so it will be a bit longer. Then after that I'm just going to do back to back FET!

@Mrbay that's great that you're going for a 5dt, they have the best success rates. Those at your clinic also seem very good and there is one which is feasible for me with similar rates for multiple cycles too. I'm still finding the no answers hard though as my own is about 50/50 for a clinical pregnancy for each blast transferred Confused

@KittyKatSmile thank you for your message, that is helpful. I didn't realise they make the chances of natural pregnancy even less although I probably have nothing to lose there!! How are you today? Are you doing anything nice this weekend? More weights? Spinning?

KittyKatSmile · 12/07/2019 20:18

@Zest11 I'm not sure that statistic is sort of subscribed to by everyone but certainly it felt that way to me, plus I had awful side effects coming off them so I was very happy to ditch them for a while!

Off to Guernsey this weekend; it's my niece's 7th birthday so big party tomorrow!

@Mrbay that sounds really good. 5 days is great!

Cauliflower82 · 13/07/2019 07:05

@Zest11 it makes sense to do the tests if it’s something that’s playing on your mind - I guess there’s no harm in doing them at all. Yeah, I’ve done a test and it’s very clear. I’m starting to feel more reassured that the pain is simply just the ohss - I was told it would take a while to calm down.

@KittyKatSmile hope you have a nice weekend :). And thank you for the reassurances.

@Mrbay I’m really happy for you :), it’s really excellent news. How are you feeling now after egg collection?

How does everyone feel about leggings as pants? We had a bit of a debate about this at school today. I’ve always been a firm ‘no’ but since egg collection I’ve been wearing them as pants to walk my dog and well it’s a slippery slope...

OP posts:
KittyKatSmile · 13/07/2019 07:24

@Cauliflower82 woah there. Can we please confirm what you mean by 'pants'?! Unfair on any of us southerners.... Grin But I love leggings generally. As long as you can keep the old camel toe under control then I think it's fine....

I've got a super glam 50th to go to tonight (following the non-glam 7th this afternoon); I shall be wearing a sack.

Mrbay · 13/07/2019 08:25

Morning girls!

I never thought I'd get to A 5dt, so I may even get something for the freezer.
I'm feeling back to normal now, less tired and have my memory back to normal!
Tho the Crinone gel is really odd!

@Zest11 - I think my clinic performs a little better than the average but I like them as they are just super friendly and relaxed, plus only 20-mins from home so easy to get too.
Will you have a natural transfer?

@califlower82 - personally I wear my gym leggings a lot, slightly thicker and more supportive than standard leggings. Standard leggings get worn when it's too cold for a dress and I need to let the bloat breath!

Cauliflower82 · 13/07/2019 08:42

@KittyKatSmile 😂 😂 leggings as trousers - is northerners, eh. Well next week I’m spending the time in London on a school trip - the fun! I am pretty excited actually - I love visiting London. Best city in the world.

@mrbay I’m not a gym person - I cycle and walk my dog but that’s pretty much it. It’s amazing that you might be getting frosties too.

So, to verify, as I’m often in need of fashion advice, can I wear casual leggings with a normal t shirt and trainers? Thanks ladies :). They’re just soooooooooo comfortable. Why did nobody introduce me to them before?!

OP posts:
AliciaWhiskers · 13/07/2019 08:55

Morning ladies

@Cauliflower82 I’d say leggings as trousers is perfectly acceptable, as long as the leggings are thick enough. Not so keen on the being-able-to-see-knickers-through-leggings look. Hope you enjoy your trip to London, how long are you there for?

@Mrbay so excited for you! Is ET on Monday? Fingers crossed for a frostie too. Is the Crinone gel progesterone?

@KittyKatSmile hope you enjoy your parties today. At least if you are wearing a sack you can eat loads of cake within it worrying your dress won’t fit. Say hi to Guernsey for me. My sister is there this weekend visiting family.

Ginandtonic31 · 13/07/2019 09:03

@Cauliflower82 I think for walking the dog and stuff it's fine. The only time I don't like leggings as trousers (I'm northern and say trousers) is when they're see through or camel toe. My saviour at the moment is Dorothy Perkins Jeggings. They're cheap and look like jeans but with an elastic ages waist. I've sized up in blue so they're just like normal jeans casually and black so I can wear them for work with smart tops and nice shoes. They're super comfy and about £15-£20. They're called Eden if searching on the website.

So, as we slowly reach 999 posts in this thread I've been thinking with @KittyKatSmile how we can continue our lovely little community. I wanted to run an idea by you... I have created a brand new forum that's just for us. You still have to register etc. (Would be easier to register with the same usernames) but I think it would be more private for us and you can either stick to one thread in there like this, or post different ones too. We would only let us girlies join but I think it would give us a place that's 'ours' without it being on your face on WhatsApp etc. Any of you can join, wherever you are in your journey. We are all here for each other. Let me know if you think it's a good, or terrible, idea and if you like it drop me a message and I will give you the link (reluctant to post it here in case we get some random crystals joining us for the ride).

Mrbay · 13/07/2019 10:29

@califlower82 - sounds absolutely fine 😊
Ps, I don't gym but I love wearing them around the house and riding.

@kittykatsmiles - enjoy the party!

@AliciaWhiskers - thank you! Yep, just over lunch but also near my fav charity shop so I may have to have a little nosey! Oh yep, the gel is progesterone, sorry for the TMI but it's coming out looking like bits of tissue!

@Ginandtonic31 - you techy! Yeah that sounds great and at least the DM can't pick up our tales!

Mrbay · 13/07/2019 10:30

Oh, I'm not sure the hormones have left me yet.
I've just cried whilst watching Her Majesty's cavalryman, not sure if that's because I'm jealous or the fact that I'm slightly weird!

Ginandtonic31 · 13/07/2019 10:33

@Mrbay it isn't very tech. It's just a free one 😂maybe if I spend more time I could make us a really good one with our own logo 😂😂but for now I thought it would do.

Zest11 · 13/07/2019 10:36

@KittyKatSmile your weekend sounds really nice and busy! Never been to Guernsey but we really should as we are on the south coast and just a ferry ride away. What's it like?

@Cauliflower82 Glad you are feeling a bit more reassured. Completely forgot about the OHSS so yes, that will be it especially as you are pregnant! I live in leggings (I have fat hips but slim legs so finding jeans is a nightmare!) I too don't like the seethrough bum look so I always wear them with a long top. Is that what you mean?? Yes I will do the tests as I have definitely had 1, maybe more chemical pregnancies which I haven't been able to tell my clinic about due to NHS funding issues. Although I might drop it in at my follow up consultation now I've already had the treatment. Not sure on that.

@Mrbay yes the clinic really make a difference. Mine are like that too and it does help. This is going to be great for you - 3 full rounds and you have the potential for frosties. I had the crinone gel and yes, it was weird!!! It's like a squeezy tampon!! Not sure about natural or medicated FET...whatever gives the best chance of success I guess!

@Ginandtonic31 I think that's a perfect idea and I do really appreciate your added point "wherever you are in your journey". My embryo may have rejected me but you successful girls haven't! Our own thread without the pressures of WhatsApp etc. That's great! God, I REALLY hope I have a viable pregnancy before you all have your babies!

Mrbay · 13/07/2019 11:03

@ginandtonic31 - oh! Still very techy!! I'm always embrassed by my lack of tech knowledge, especially as the company I work for is a marketing agency in the tech sector 🙈
I'm slightly excited for a private forum.

@zest11 - Yep it's a really odd med, but I've not had a lot of spillage so far so either I've Got a very deep vjayjay or it's a non drip!
I think you would have to talk it through with the consultant, my SIS did a natural cycle I think, so I can ask her if you like?
Ref treatment, yes, me honest with the consultant as I'm pretty sure that funding is only rejected if you didn't have a live birth, I maybe wrong tho.
In a weird way, I am extremely lucky, I a real pro NHS as the work they do is amazing. Slightly soppy, but thanks to the NHS I've still got my dad after having stage 4 cancer (the bloke is a statistical oddity but that's another story)
Yes, you cannot leave us! Plus don't think think this is a race as it's not. Currently I don't think this cycle is going to work, I have a weird 6th sense for negative things. If anyone is into woo stuff I'll tell you the story, still freaks me out!

In other news, I'm using chatting to all to put off putting the washing on the line. However, I'm very excited to report that I have a no odd socks situation!

Ginandtonic31 · 13/07/2019 12:17

@Mrbay and@Zest11 sent you both a message.

My jobs today are to get 5 loads of washing done as I've been so lazy 😫 I also need to clean our bedroom and bathroom and hoover downstairs and then I can relax. But I can't be bothered! I'm laid reading a book.

AliciaWhiskers · 13/07/2019 17:06

@Ginandtonic31 wow, our very own forum sounds great! I’m in! And agree with Mrbay, it sounds very techy to me as I wouldn’t have the first clue how to set that up!

@Mrbay I do hope you are wrong about your feeling about this cycle, although would love to hear your woo story. I’m fascinated by that kinda thing.

Mrbay · 13/07/2019 18:56

@AliciaWhiskers - if I am great, if I'm not there is always next time :)

Basically, DH when to MIL and I had a feeling that they needed to see GM. I tried to convince them to go see her but they couldnt get her to answer her door. I told them that they had to see her but they thought she had gone to bed early. Nope, she had a fall and was unconscious. MIL went around in the morning and found her, despite great care at the hospital she slipped away. DH now listens to me when I say he has to do something based on a feeling.

Cauliflower82 · 14/07/2019 09:01

@Ginandtonic31 awesome idea - please PM me too :). Did you get your washing done? I’m massively behind with housework too. I ordered myself two pairs yesterday - thank you very much :).

@Mrbay I’m always fascinated by stories like this too. Very devastating to hear about grandmother though :( very sad.

@zest11 that seems massively unfair - surely it should all be about live birth. You can tell the people who make these rules have no idea, just none at all.
Yeah, I don’t want to having vpl or worse 😯. I’ve bought two pairs now :).

@AliciaWhiskers we are there until Thursday.

I’m having the best morning huggles with my dog today 💕. She’s even sharing my pillow, bless her.

Hiya @ginandtonic31 can you send me the link too :)

Glad it's looking good fx all goes well for tomorrow @mrbay and it's deffo not as bad as ec at least!

@cauliflower82 been getting really painful cramps too and my back was in agony yesterday.

@kittykatsmile enjoy your weekend, my parents are away for the week and the house feels so quiet!

Also I've fallen over twice in the last week :( I'm trying so hard now to hold on to anything in dear sight... So clumsy but feel like my balance must be off as that's a lot even for me!
