Hi everyone, so we saw the nurse earlier this week and our plan has been set. We are on long protocol and will be looking at starting on my December cycle meaning that I will be due to start buserelin around 6th jan with EC being end of Jan.

Anyone else looking at a December/ January cycle?

Well, we have 4 frozen potential babies! One 5AB and 3 4AB Smile they’ve left the rest in the incubator to see if they can be frozen tomorrow as apparently some take longer.

Congratulations Positivity, I can’t help but wonder if you’re at the same clinic as me as the woman in the opposite bay during EC was born in 1986...

Positivity86 · 04/02/2019 19:09

@Rememberallball thank you.

@Justwaitingforaline thank you and congrats to you too! I'm at Care in Northampton! Where are you? x

womaninkent · 04/02/2019 19:35

Great news @positivity86 and @justwaitingforaline.

womaninkent · 04/02/2019 21:15

@ginger951 not silly at all, I was definitely ready for egg collection when it came! We wait so long to get started on IVF it is hardly surprising that any delay is disappointing.

Saltisford · 04/02/2019 22:32

An update! We went to the clinic today for our test which we couldn’t bear to do at home and we had a BFP!! I am in shock!! We’ve never had this before. Baby dust to everyone xxxx

womaninkent · 04/02/2019 22:42

@Justwaitingforaline
I had to free all on my first IVF cycle and I was exactly the same could not wait for my period to come before I started again!!
But just to worn you I had to take Norethisterone for 21days (progesterone pill) on day 14 I had a scan to check my ovaries etc had gone back done to normal, then on day 19 started Buserlin and about day 23 had my period then its just on to full meds for the FET.
Any questions just ask xx

Positivity86 · 05/02/2019 08:17

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 05/02/2019 08:17

@womaninkent how are you getting on?

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 05/02/2019 08:19

@Positivity86 Welcome to the PUPO gain, long may it last!!! Also welcome to the club of becoming a serial symptom checker xxx

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 05/02/2019 08:32

@Rememberallball viability scan... eeekkk all getting a bit exciting now! Do you feel like you have had any symptoms?
I had my transfer a week ago today, I have noticed some mild cramping at times, slight brown discharge (TMI) and last night I felt like I had lower back ache?
So hard to decided whats what xx

Ginger951 · 05/02/2019 08:52

@saltisford congratulations!!!

@justwaitingforaline those sound like some great numbers and all top quality well done!

@positivity89 & @positivethinkingrainbow good luck!!

Justwaitingforaline · 05/02/2019 09:03

Congratulations salt!!

Positivity oh, I’ve been told I’ll only be taking Estrogen pills and the progesterone pessaries for my FET Confused no more injections or BCP. Maybe our clinics have different protocols ( I’m SE - the DOB must have been coincidence!)

CornishMaid1 · 05/02/2019 09:05

Congratulations @saltisford That is great news.

Rememberallball · 05/02/2019 09:15

@PositiveThinkingRainbow, I have such sore breasts it’s unbelievable - I bought myself 2 maternity bras yesterday as I think I’m going to have to start wearing them at night!! I definitely have a lot more cervical discharge - have had to start wearing panty liners all the time otherwise, after about an hour, it feels like I’ve wet myself (I know, tmi!!) and, last night at dinner (we’re going on holiday today so staying in a hotel), I got so bloated while eating that I had to undo my trousers - eek!!

I can’t believe I’m 6 weeks on Thursday and by a week today we’ll know how many little apple pips are growing - and hopefully we’ll also see heartbeats as i’ll be 6+5!!

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 05/02/2019 12:39

@Ginger951
I had to drop my Menopur for the last two injections as I had so many follicle developing too. Ended up with four in the freezer so nothing to worry about. Have they mentioned OHSS to you?
Also the egg transfer, tell them you are not a fan of needles and they will take great care of you. It all happens so fast that you are asleep before you know it. xx

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 05/02/2019 12:45

@Rememberallball I think in IVF their is never TMI, we all just love to know everything. I think to hear the heart beat or even beats will truly be the icing on the cake. Not long to go now. xx

Ginger951 · 05/02/2019 13:43

@positivethinkingrainbow no one has mentioned OHSS so far and I have asked several times! I think it's because I have 4/5 that are ready for collection but another 8 or so that are just undersized. So the extra time is to see if we can get them up to size. Compared to the scan I had on Friday I had double the numbers and the original ones had all doubled in size.

Definatly going to be telling everyone there about my hate for needles! Last lot tonight, one more buserelin and then my trigger shot and I'm done!

CornishMaid1 · 05/02/2019 15:45

I've had my follicle scan today (techically it is day 8, but as I'm injecting in the evening I've only had 7 sets of injections so far) and they are growing well.

My largest is at 16mm at the moment and I have 7 follicles over 10mm and 26 under! I just need to keep going as I am and have my next scan on Friday and they think I may be ready to trigger then and hopefully collect Monday unless they end up bringing if forward.

I'm glad I am on a really low dose as goodness knows how many would be in there if I was on a normal dose!

Hope everyone else is okay and good luck to those still stimming or in the tww.

LIONA1990 · 05/02/2019 22:43

Wow it spuns like everyone is getting fabulous results so far!!! A pregnancy, transfers and lots of follicles! How exciting!!!

Well we had a final count and ended up with 10 frosties! 10!
1 x 5BB
6 between 4AA and 4AC
And three between 3AA and 3BC
So really can't complain now when our first round of IVF produced 1 x 3BD but produced a wonder 9 month baby girl!!!! Xxx

LIONA1990 · 05/02/2019 22:43

Hurry up MN..... I want to start my FET. :) xxx

Positivity86 · 06/02/2019 10:50

Good luck today @Ginger951

Great news @CornishMaid1 and @LIONA19!

@PostiveThinkingRainbow thank you, I'm loving being PUPO. Trying not to symptom spot and stay off google but we all know that's impossible!!
